Mike Judge does a pretty fair job whenever Beavis and Butt-Head comes back so I got faith in KotH
But I'm not going to hold be breath and assume the new episodes will be seasons 1-6 quality

What he did with Silicon Valley makes me have faith. A lot of the problems that series had were things beyond his control. He still has the touch.
I didn't watch must of SV just 2 or 3 seasons and they seemed fine...what was the problem people had with it?
There are some things that got out of control. Christopher Evan Welch passed away during S1 or S2, and his character was going to play a major role in the story. They had to make major changes that also affected the spirit of the series. TJ Miller, also important, left the project due to tensions with Production. It's what I know at least.
He really has to take advantage of the trope: "Southern Boomers trapped in Globohomo". If there's ever a time to do it, it's now.
He needs to just stay apolitical or middle of the road like he's always done and not bend the knee ton"wokeness"
Very difficult to achieve but you are right. It's more than being neutral, it's managing to show things that everyone understands within the logic of the characters. Very subtle art.
