KINGDOM OF THE PLANET OF THE APES Synopsis

>Many generations after the passing of Caesar, ape societies thrive among the remnants of what was once human civilization. The only humans left are nothing more than rudimentary pests, feral and rarely seen. Meanwhile, apes are entering their Bronze Age, and different ape cultures are beginning to emerge. While some ape societies have never even heard of Caesar, others have completely perverted his teachings for their own gain.

>PROXIMUS CAESAR, a powerful Ape leader, is at the verge of a breakthrough for his blossoming kingdom – he has discovered the last vestiges of human technology sealed away beneath the earth and requires many apes to excavate its treasures. Proximus sends a team of marauders on a mission to bring him the ape-power needed to make his ambitions a reality. NOA (Owen Teague), a young ape from the idyllic and peaceful Eagle Clan, watches as his village is destroyed and his people taken by these marauders.

>Noa then embarks on a perilous journey to liberate his people, and along the way teams up with wise orangutan RAKA (Peter Macon) and mysterious human MAE (Freya Allen), who may not be who she seems. While Noa will expand his worldview and embark on self-discovery of his own, he could never predict what Mae is capable of: She has a goal of her own stop Proximus at all costs and do whatever it takes to keep the human species going and perhaps plant the seeds for the return of human dominance.

      >Who will play Taylor when they inevitably remake the original film?
The reboot trilogy and this new set of films take place in the original timeline that eventually lead to the first film with Charlton Heston. You have to understand that Planet of the Apes is also about time travel. If it were remade then the following actors would be appropriate.
      >Christian Bale
      >Chris Hemsworth
      >Jensen Ackles
      >Alan Ritchson
      >Joel Kinnaman

Exactly. I put Ackles in the list because he reminds me of Ben Browder on Farscape. A show that had shades of Apes.

No way it takes place in the same timeline. The new movies conflict with pre-established lore (Escape/Conquest depict the uplifting and uprising of the intelligent apes quite differently to these new films.)

          >The new movies conflict with pre-established lore (Escape/Conquest depict the uplifting and uprising of the intelligent apes quite differently to these new films.)
No. Escape/Conquest/Battle is the altered timeline. The reboot films show how the world originally developed to the state it's in when Taylor appears.

But didn't Taylor come from the 1960s? in the reboot the astronauts left earth whenever the first one takes place, around 2010ish.

Now that humanity has fallen and is no longer around as a mirror to the apes I kind of feel like this series' premise is exhausted. Now it's just monkey adventure movies, which is fine I guess, but at this point they've fully replaced humans and the central conflict of the franchise has been resolved. Having a single semi-sentient human around doesn't really fill that void. Might as well make the exact same film except with an all-human cast and it'd be just like any other post-apoc movie.

3 was mismarketed. I get that they wanted an epic sounding word like "war" in the title for their final movie, but realistically it should've been called "prison of the planet of the apes" or something, and they never should've had those posters that made it seem like there was going to be a huge war. Overall the 3rd one was kinda boring. They really peaked with Koba as the villain

They are far better than they have any right to be. I didn't watch them for years because, how could they possibly not be soulless cash-grab reboot trash? Somehow, the first two are legitimately good movies. The third, as has been mentioned, is not quite on the same level. The movies are carried by Andy Serkis who absolutely crushes the role of Caesar (not the same one as the original film, of course). They exist somewhere between popcorn action/adventure and thoughtful sci-fi.

Or our mouths look like their asses and they constantly mock us, because we look like talking buttholes to aliens and they invite humans only like circus animals to show their own kind what a bunch of weirdos populate the galaxy. or aliens start exterminating our culture, thinking their culture is superior and connect us to their intergalactic internet that has like 1 GAZILION PETABITES OF DATA, and compared to that the ammount of all data in Earth Internet is like 0.00000000000000000000000001% of that.
