Just started watching picrel a couple weeks ago. I'm on episode 4 now. What am I getting myself into, it seems like a blast so far.

I recently downloaded the series with the intention of watching it this year (along with a few other old shows I never saw)
What's on your list anon? I'm a zoomer and I've been trying to blast through a bunch of classic shows with my family before I move out of the country.
It's been great.
The A-Team
Colombo
Star Trek
MacGuyver
The Twilight Zone from the 80s
Tales from the Crypt
The Outer Limits from the 90s
already watched Quantum Leap, was kino
>The A-Team
Kino. Gets a little repetitive after a while but it's a very fun show with some great performances.
>Colombo
Never tried watching it, gave me some boomer vibes I never cared for, but I've always been curious.
>Star Trek
Overrated, pretentious, revisionist boomer sci-fi. You can try it but it never appealed to me the way other sci-fi from the era did. Plenty of people like it, so don't take my words as gospel.
>MacGyver
Always meant to watch it, it's a corny classic
>The Twilight Zone from the 80s
Always heard decent things about it but it's universally considered the best non-original TZ thing. I'm a huge fan of the original series and the movie was good, I just always forget about it.
>Tales from the Crypt
Same as McGyver
>The Outer Limits from the 90s
I've heard great things about it too but much like X-Files I've always had the feeling it's aged poorly.
>already watched Quantum Leap, was kino
Same as McGyver.
This post is fricking useless. You haven't seen the majority of what you're commenting on. What a moron.
I wasn't trying to be useful, just commenting on the guy's list
Yeah, and your comment was you had nothing to comment on or add to the discussion. Do you cease to exist if you don't post? What an NPC.
You need to watch The Rockford Files.
Dukes of Hazzard
It's always seemed like a fun and cool show but I've never seen it.
I love Smokey And The Bandit, which is pretty close.
You might like BJ And The Bear too. Never cared for the spinoff with sheriff Lobo though.
Will check out
thanks
It's a good PI show, it's a good 80s show. I like to watch it in the summer most of all. I have good memories of cooking up a big spam omelette for brunch and watching some magnum on a summer morning.
Solid show.
>lighthearted
Usually, but not always.
a good direction for your moral compass
when the episodes involving michelle come up you're gonna cry...
oh, you're gonna cry
I might have if you haven't said that
You spoiled the emotional impact
you're gonna cry, my Black person
you won't see it coming https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMyzyPmVSdw&ab_channel=JohnDenver
That guy wasn't OP, I am.
I'm hyped. NONE of you homosexuals spoil it for me.
Don't eevn know who she is but I'm interested given this seems like a very lighthearted show
It seems to have from just the first few episodes. It feels like a vacation.
Watched it 10 years ago and watching again now, it's kino anon. Has aged really well too.
It ranges from kino to slop depending on the writer/director of the episode. The first few seasons are great.
>Seasons 1-4 are the best imo
>5-6 are pretty gud but there's some weird flops in there too
>7-8 have a lot more melodramatic cringe and are much less fun
They seemed to have trouble keeping things fresh in the later seasons and started fricking with the canon implying higgins is robin masters even though that makes zero sense according to earlier episodes... also the moronic coma non-finale (which if you're a zoomer you might know from Archer).
Pretty much any Higgins centric episode is guaranteed kino imo.
>Seasons 1-4 are the best imo
Seems to be common with long-running shows from this period. It's why I loved Miami vice so much, the show knew when to quit while it was ahead.
>7-8 have a lot more melodramatic cringe and are much less fun
I'll probably find them hilarious then, thanks.
>implying higgins is robin masters even though that makes zero sense according to earlier episodes...
Sounds like some red meat thrown out for fans of the show back in the day. Either that or it was some weird joke the writers cam up with, doesn't bother me too much unless it becomes a big plot point.
>also the moronic coma non-finale (which if you're a zoomer you might know from Archer).
Yeah I know that almost all cliches and parodies from newer shows come from shows like this, it's why I've been only watching old shows since COVID.
>Pretty much any Higgins centric episode is guaranteed kino imo.
I love him so far and I've barely scratched the surface of the series.
Thanks anon.
MAGNUM THREAD
Give me your house.
If you want to combine action, drama, '70s cool, and kitsch, watch The Six Million Dollar Man.
I loved the first two episodes but dropped it after the third because I could tell the rest of the show was going to be nothing like the first two
I was trying to keep the thread alive because I'm OP Black person
It's great man, you have good taste
