red clay in a rain forest? No. Red clay is caused by oxidation in the iron and is surface level. The nutrients in red soil is minimal and little grows in it. Rainforests wash this away. If he's in Australia, he pulled this red clay off site.

                1. the channels that pretend they did this 'all on their own' and crafted their own materials from start to finish are all lying. Even if they DID they would time lapse the process because that would be boring as shit. Most of those channels are just mindless entertainment no different from grabbing some fricking object, filming it and then getting it dirty/rusty and then putting out a 'restoration' video. Yeah, it fools fricking idiots but only idiots want to see that in the first place.
                2. This guy tries to demonstrate 'primitive technology' techniques. It was never about do anything 'completely himself' or only using material found on site. The CONTENT of what he shows is what he's talking about, the idea behind it. He's not building pools with a machete.

if he got the clay on site, surely he shows it? Cause the entire surrounding are is NOT oxidized. So how large is this "site" then? Cause he is in the australian rain forest where red clay should not be found, unless he has property in one of the nature reserves, yea, I call bullshit.

thought it might be answered here. The on site rule is a stupid one considering the displacement of australia rainforests in the 1950's-70's and the top soil being recovered in restoration projects. I contend and argue he is likely using clay he should not have easy access to based on where it looks like he is. This video

                >He didn't make those
                Bro...

shows him using clay that's washed down a stream, which is also suspect, in that other man-made disturbances upstream could be the cause. Is his on site rule going to allow him to use soda bottles and cans? On site is a dumb rule when the the site could be a restoration site that has only been untouched for 30 years. Which I'll admit, seems likely, but then the rule is stupid.

              Are you moronic?
              1. Rainforest soils are highly oxidised, given the high temperature and rainfall that most, especially Australian rainforests, grow on.
              2. Rainforest soil is, quite infamously, nutrient poor.

there are two factors i think. the first is it's a genuine hobby for him so he doesn't have the compulsion to crank out videos. secondly, i think in that era when he disappeared and all the poo copy cats popped up, he was coincidentally making a tv show (which never aired)

because a lot of his methods are bronze age. The heat required to manipulate iron is about 1000 degrees more. So, if any aboriginals experimented with iron they likely never got results. These ideas were taught and trial and error is a big part of it. All error means it's never taught. They were limited by their materials. They would never have learned their heat wasn't high enough without something that melts at a cooler temperature.

Because abos are all moronic subhumans who are still living in the stone age. A totally failed species that is stealing your oxygen.

He's well built, not an athlete but you can tell he's functionally fit. If he cut he'd have some good definition.

I was massively overthinking how a one-way blower would work lol. Is this basically the hottest blower you could reasonably make with the tools he has? Making bellows would be possible I suppose but I doubt he's going to hunt some Wallaby's for the channel.

It could probably be made faster by A: mounting the axle more sturdily and adding a flywheel and/or B: mounting it much more sturdily and just using a crank instead of a bow
