Mind you other movie like empire strike back felt more like a movie that can standalone while continuing the plot, it resolved it's own dilemma and then created new ones at the end. Luke had to choose between focusing on the jedi path yoda wanted or being emotional and try to help his friend. he helped his friend lost and a new dilemma emerged about vader identity that can lead to next movie. Han and leia argued in the beginning but they resolved their conflict by end and a new dilemma emerged when jaba took han solo.
