This shit shit take 1-2 years to come out. When it takes this long I can only assume everything is going wrong.

      >When it takes this long I can only assume everything is going wrong.
The simple fact that it took them over 10 years to just realize that they should turn this series into an extended universe was already a bad omen.

they've been going at the live action for four years now

Actual insider here. Netflix has been shotgunning any franchise to be their "harry potter/game of thrones/lord of the rings" type thing for years now and they all failed. Airbender was potentially a cinematic universe netflix was trying out along a bunch of other shit. Then one piece came out, was huge, and now they want to go heavy there and are putting less into other ones now that they got their potential goose.

this makes a lot of sense, they're cutting their losses

they should just shop the license around to some anime studio and give them lots of free reign

Why didn't they just milk Stranger Things for all it had then moron?

        They did.........
You know it's still under production, right? There is an ungodly amount of merch for it as well.

They did milk the frick out of Stranger Things, what are you talking about. I'd argue no one even gives a shit about Stranger Things anymore, partially because of how corporate it started feeling because it was milked and merchandized so hard.

          >they milked Stranger Things!
          >No Movie
          >No Spinoff series
          >No Video Game Spinoff
Do you guys even have any idea what milking a product is?

It had a video games, and loads of merch and questionably related cross promotions, like the ice cream. I'd say it's miliking it anon.

Bro, it got milked so hard there is even a fricking pinball machine in 2023 for it.
Do you leave your house? Stranger Things trash use to litter like half the stores in any given mall.

When is this coming out again?

The netflix live action was supossed to come out this year.

Can you read? They want a "fantastical world" that appeals to every demographic.

I thought they only had rights to the live action series while the animated series and films would be for Paramount+ and Theaters.

I feel like this can backfire immensely because
      A. Netshits
and B. One Piece is extremely long, I understand that lets Netflix want to explore all it's different nations/crews/etc but people want to still watch the main crew, which again since the source material is absurdly long, might not be feasible to complete without the actors becoming far older than their manga/anime counterparts.

One Piece has a lot of spinoff potential for Ace. I expect an adaptation of the Ace novel and coverstory announced after season 2. A Law prequel about the formation of the Heart pirates set between his flashbacknand first appearance is also an easy spinoff.

We're not talking about the Netflix show, we're talking about layoffs at Avatar Studios (the division of Nickelodeon which is only working on animated projects and isn't involved with the live-action series whatsoever)

I wonder if they launched this program just because they're losing so many staff they need to train new ones
