He only cares about rate of return, so be would only drink to get drunk. Thus he would pick the highest alcohol content that requires minimal drinking to get drunk.

I started home brewing and my alcoholism has taken a turn for the worse bros. I basically have endless beer available.

There’s tons of books on it. Read through “the complete hoy of home brewing” by papazian and “how to brew” by Palmer and you’ll be off to a good start. Tons of autists have collated thousands of hours of data on online forums for you to peruse as well, the rabbit hole is very deep. You can buy the tools/ingredients online or from a local home brew store if available.
When you start off the most important 3 things to be aware of are arguably
        Sanitation
Water quality (don’t use shitty sink chlorinated water unless you filter it)
Fermentation temperature (if you distress your yeast it’s going to shit out esters that make the beer taste bad)

GLHF and welcome to permanent alcoholism when you have 5+ gallons of beer readily available at all times.

It's something I've been thinking about for a while, thanks for the links. A few ex-collegues did it with wine, which I believe is more forgiving? Regarding filters, do you need a reverse osmosis or is a standard carbon one good enough?

Never done wine but I’ve also heard it’s more forgiving which makes sense because you have way more inputs (thus many more variables to account for) with beer.
A lot of the autists online swear you need RO but the big issue with tap water is that even a tiny bit of chlorine is present it will make chlorophenol in your beer which gives it an unmistakeable shitty “bandaid” flavor.
I’ve used a charcoal filter and have had no issues. If you water tastes good enough to drink and the filter is picking up chlorine you should be good to go. So I think a decent charcoal filter is sufficient.
If it’s only chlorine you’re worried about you can also leave the water out overnight before brewing with it and it will dissipate. You can also buy campden tablets which you can add to the water to get rid of chlorine.

It’s the best hobby I’ve ever picked up so I definitely recommend it.

Thanks anon, sounds interesting. I've heard the characteristic pool "chlorine" smell is actually is actually only present when the chlorine reacts with urea, and also leaving it out/aerating it would kill the non-oxidised chlorine, but I think if I was going to do it properly I would look into making sure the water was right beforehand. Incidentally, I saw a thing a while back about various cities natural water PH and how their coffee is percieved. Really fascinating.

Yeah water chemistry gets as autistic as you want it to be when it comes to coffee and beer. The books I recommended get into it a bit but there’s also thousands of threads online of people getting upset while calling each other Black folk over exceedingly esoteric shit like “what is the proper amount of gypsum to use for a Dortmunder”

I've unironically done this, at a certain point it's just pavlovian. You will need something stronger tomorrow though.
