Watching this in Russian subs, on ep3 right now and it's great. Mutt cartoons haven't been this imaginative and soulful in decades, while anime has too many obnoxious cliches. Frogs balance things perfectly.

Nice one, anon. I haven't gone through with a fine-tooth comb but it seems pretty good.
I will say that your lines are sometimes quite long, BBC guidelines (https://www.bbc.co.uk/accessibility/forproducts/guides/subtitles/) recommend only taking up about 70% of the width of a 16:9 video. For example at 4:12 in episode 2 you've got almost the whole width of the video, consider breaking things like that into lines. I get that you've done it because the lady speaks afterwards and you briefly have both lines on screen, but I wouldn't suggest you do that, I'd just have the one line and then the other.
There are a couple of points where you do have the lines of multiple speakers on-screen at once, with nothing to distinguish them. I would make a distinction here if you absolutely have to have them both on screen at once. BBC likes using different colours, but I don't like it and I don't think you can do it in the format you're using here, so I'd just use dashes at the beginnings of the lines.
You might also consider editing some lines where you don't have time to put the verbatim (translated) text on screen, but this is difficult to get right, check out the BBC guidelines, they're quite interesting.
One mistake I did spot, at 13:49 in episode 2 you have "Shamefully...", I think you've confused "Vous avez osé..." for something like "honteusement", I think it should be "You dared..."
If you're using subtitle edit, it will point things like this out to you by the way, overlaps, lines which are too long and lines with too-high characters/second for easy readability.
Would be cool if you could provide just an .srt file for those of us who already have the series downloaded.

Yea that line in particular would be fine to break up. Dashes sound fine. This is my first time subbing btw, I'm using Aegismith and exporting to sf2 since everyone says its the most compatible

I'll fix this, I'm not fluent I have to consult translation software and dictionaries so some errors might be really weird
Speaking of, are you telling me that africa line at 6:11 ep 2 is actually correct? I was scratching my head over this and figured he must be saying l'UA, as in african union, but i had no way to confirm this so i imagined a french person coming across that part in the translation and being like wtf is this guy high
I've never heard of sf2, but looking at it in mkvtoolnix it says it's an SRT and yeah that's a good way to do it unless you want to do all sorts of fancy positioning and styling and shit like anime fansubbers do.
I haven't watched them all the way through yet, just had a skip through and a general look so I didn't hit that line. My ears are not that good anymore so I found it quite hard to understand what he was saying, but I'm pretty sure he said "C'est du loir.", loir being dormice.
