>le gambling was okay when it was ran by the mafia because my name is martin scorsese and I glorify mafia scum in every film I make
Is there a more overrated piece of trash than this? When I was in film school the alumni and I laughed this garbage out of the building. The French noir it rips off is superior in every way. Scorsese is a hack.
t. capeshitter
>if you don't have your lips wrapped around Scorsese's shaft, you must be a capeshitter
Weak bait
>t. Chud loser
dilate
HECKIN LE CHUD
How much chud could a chud chud if a chud could chud chud?
heh
>film school
What’s unemployment like?
I'm currently working on a French based neo-noir film that centers around interpersonal relationships. Unlike Scorsese or Tarantino however, my work won't be derivative (stolen) garbage like theirs. I already spoke to numerous execs (names you have certainly heard of, think household names) in the industry about the art I'm creating and it WILL be making waves. Talking generational defining movie.
>French based neo-noir
The funny thing about this meme is that noir is inherently American. Therefore any French homosexual who made a boring neo-noir film in the 60s was just ripping off John Huston and Orson Welles.
>my work won't be derivative
All art is derivative you simpleton.
This post is so delusional it bums me out a little. Like I can imagine the guy saying this word-for-word to his coworkers at Wendys
Production has wrapped, early screenings have already started. I don't give a flying frick about your opinion.
Yet you're still posting here. Funny how that works.
>YOU CANNOT DO TWO THINGS AT ONCE!
Talk to me when you have ever produced anything of value.
I saw you post this exact post 2 years ago you shit, you will never make anything
Is this pasta or are you just incredibly pretentious
Sharon Stone is so good in this.
One minor complaint I have is Robert Deniro isn't believable as a israelite
must have been hard for her to get into the mind of a high maintenance a-lister BPD cokeprostitute
Hehehe.
FRICK YOU
Are you really gonna pretend you wouldn't be high maintenence if you looked like prime Sharon Stone?
Stone and James Woods is the only good thing with movie.
And the cinematography of course.
The rest is hilariously bad and I agree with OP.
The cinematography was childish
in what way?
Elongated shots with forced emphasis, color palette visually forced, crane shots are dated, pans are dated as well
>crane shots are dated, pans are dated as well
This is your brain on film school
I've never been to film school, just informing you on why the cinematography is childish and aged poorly
All you're informing me of is that you have crippling autism
Zero counters, resorting to ad homs.
Enjoy your childish cinematography.
Your criticisms are blatantly pseudo-intellectual and entirely without substance, they require no counters.
Enjoy shitting on things that people like because you think it makes you interesting.
>calling out specific techniques is "pseduo-intellectual"
I accept your concession.
>Elongated shots with forced emphasis
>color palette visually forced
the cinematography is perhaps ambitious but I think that it meshes well with the attribute of the characters, their unnecessarily extravagant taste which is common among newriches or whatever those are called
>crane shots are dated
>pans are dated as well
doesn't "childish" imply that you use newer techniques just because they're new? I've never heard someone describe dated as being childish.
I consider them childish because those techniques (while also being considered dated) is the mark of amateur filmmaker. Nobody standing behind a camera with any self respect would utilize those methods.
>the mark of amateur filmmaker.
what? techniques which amateur rarely have available to them is amateurish?
is right, you better learn to use your words right
I already said what film tactics are childish, re-read my statement again.
>The cinematography was childish
Lol. Yes, all of those 8 year old cinematographers that we can compare it to. Some of you guys just use adjectives for no real reason.
I think that’s intentional anon Ace is supposed to be likable the real guy he’s based on was a homosexual (and almost certainly was a rat)
gay
agreed. I am sick of mobshit. just dicksucking evil people because they are shitalian
Gambling is perfectly fine. If somebody wants to wager their money against mine, who am I to tell them no? God, I hate fake Christgay groypers so much.
>anything a central character thinks the director must also think
midwit alert
Wait, so he's making a movie about the mafia and not reminding you in every single scene that they are bad? Why, that's outrageous! I mean how on earth are you supposed to know who the good guys and the bad guys are if the movie doesn't tell you?
there is literally nothing wrong with gambling
Imagine being too dumb to understand a Scorsese film
Posting the best casino crime noir film ever made
I can only imagine fat snickering poz neckbeards
This reminds me of that christianity thing, the final dinner or however it is called.
Very astute.
Damn this bait is old. Effective apparently, but old as hell.
I dont think the point was that gambling was good just becuase the mafia ran it. You're putting that onto the film. It was just some random mafia dude doing his shit until Joe Pesci fricked him over just like goodfellas
>city nearby is known to be run by the mob
>it's middle class and white
>gov't decides to go all RICO on them in the late 90s
>gets rid of all the mafia, even taking out a bunch of politicians
>city immediately becomes a shithole
>crime soars
>drugs soar
>it gets dark outside even at noon
>because of the above businesses move out
>what was once a decent city becomes yet another rundown urban shithole within 15 years
i guess they're not so bad
mafia was officially anti drugs. Anyone caught dealing got whacked.
joe pesci pineaple on pizza killing his brother .jpeg
>I glorify mafia scum in every film I make
based moron thinks scorsese glorifies degeneracy
The mafia was an extremely israeli organization. That's why shabbos goy Scorsese praises it
He does everything short of naming the israelite in the Irishman, my head canon is he regrets being a pawn for glorifying violence. And The Irishman is that film
The American mafia was almost wholly israeli, especially after the old mustache pete's were wiped out. Italian thugs were just used as goons to be the public face and take all of the ire of the American public.
more like half israeli, even the crime Syndicate had a bunch of Italians. israelites definitely ran all the finances and controlled politicians though.
Meh, scorsese is just that good at his craft it comes off as glorified. He corrected his legacy with The Irishman.
Dick status?
