Is there a more overrated piece of trash than this? When I was in film school the alumni and I laughed this garbage out of the building. The French noir it rips off is superior in every way. Scorsese is a hack.

I'm currently working on a French based neo-noir film that centers around interpersonal relationships. Unlike Scorsese or Tarantino however, my work won't be derivative (stolen) garbage like theirs. I already spoke to numerous execs (names you have certainly heard of, think household names) in the industry about the art I'm creating and it WILL be making waves. Talking generational defining movie.

        >French based neo-noir
The funny thing about this meme is that noir is inherently American. Therefore any French homosexual who made a boring neo-noir film in the 60s was just ripping off John Huston and Orson Welles.

              >Elongated shots with forced emphasis
              >color palette visually forced
the cinematography is perhaps ambitious but I think that it meshes well with the attribute of the characters, their unnecessarily extravagant taste which is common among newriches or whatever those are called

              >crane shots are dated
              >pans are dated as well
doesn't "childish" imply that you use newer techniques just because they're new? I've never heard someone describe dated as being childish.

                Anonymous

I consider them childish because those techniques (while also being considered dated) is the mark of amateur filmmaker. Nobody standing behind a camera with any self respect would utilize those methods.

The American mafia was almost wholly israeli, especially after the old mustache pete's were wiped out. Italian thugs were just used as goons to be the public face and take all of the ire of the American public.

more like half israeli, even the crime Syndicate had a bunch of Italians. israelites definitely ran all the finances and controlled politicians though.
