Have the rivalry between Leela & Amy as mothers come as a surprise rather than the tacit acknowledgement of "she's your biological mother, but I'm your smizmama" I also disliked the confirmation that NONE of them had Amy's DNA, despite Mandy even having the same voice actress as Amy.
It's the line "I am already in my pajamas" that is set apart from these low-effort references, because only the superfans would know that this was The Professor's original catchphrase before "Good News, Everyone!" developed organically. So despite the attempt to pander towards the smallest niche of futurama fans, they're blundering where it actually counts: writing decent stories. I think the humor is still as great as it's ever been, saying this as someone who thinks everything from Space Pilot 3000 through to Meanwhile was pure gold and any drops in quality people would point to as "the end of the golden age" pale in comparison to this new season, but the non-humor writing has suffered severely.

I pinpoint the moment where the two have that heart-to-heart talk in Old New York as the moment Fry developed feelings for her. There's a bunch of moments with romantic undertones throughout the first season such as when the two take shelter in the lunar lander, Fry crying over the thought of Leela getting killed while trying to save him on Trisol, and their shared loneliness on the Titanic. Fry actually first hints at having romantic feelings for Leela in "I Second that Emotion". As Leela is tied up as bait for El Chubranibre and Fry is hanging upside-down, Leela says she loves all living things. Fry asks "Even me?" to which Leela replies "as a friend." Otherwise, Fry has pretty much limited any spoken interest to Leela to just a few moments. "Parasites Lost" is when their relationship fundamentally changes as Fry realizes and admits he loves Leela.
This lat episode was pretty weak, the moment they started mentioning bitcoin I knew it was going to be low quality. Topical episodes always come out badly and rely on the gimmick of the premise to carry the story and just frankly lower quality writing.
