If it was made by people in the west it would count as Cinemaphile

Skimmed it. The animation seems very good. Too bad it's Dragon Ball...
Who are the people who made this? Because it looks professional.

I think it is a newer studio and this was a fan project to throw out there and generate buzz (which is a smart move).

Honestly, as someone who fell out of the Dragonball fandom due to the monotony of the series, this new approach (actual, non-ki-oriented fights and making saiyans more animalistic) really connected with me in a great way.

As far as I'm concerned, DBZ ended in the early 2000s when the Boo arc wrapped. GT, Super, whatever came after I don't care for. I don't need more Dragon Ball.
That said, it's a nice proof of concept and I hope these people work on their own content or works that haven't been adapted.

      >Who are the people who made this? Because it looks professional.

It was made by Nas Pasha , storyboarder and animator for Rise of the TMNT, Castlevania, & Monkey Kid.

He got a bunch of professionals to make a small studio, Stray Dog, so they can make animation shorts like this. This was done through the sheer power of DBZ autism.

That's how i felt too. I absolutely adore the Sun Wukong transformation and Vegeta's Spirit Sword.

Shame there wasn't much of a way of story or character interaction outside the final minutes. the whole movie was just an excuse to see a big flashy fight where Vegie job to Broly, then saved by Goku, as usual. Plus Saiyans being alive feels fan-fictiony.

Plus I really wanted to actually see a good fight between Goku & Chi Chi. I much prefer the OG Dragonball and their traditional martial arts. Plus I hated to see ChiChi get the Videl Treatment.

As someone who doesn't really like vegeta I kinda hate how much focus he gets. But the choreography and visual design is so good I can't say I mind too much. Also while I love the idea of Goku becoming very Sun Wukong like when he transforms I kinda hate all the edgy cracks and black marks on him.

    >bejita needs to be rescued by a lowly earth woman
    b-bejitabros... this isn't canon, right?

Chi-chi's punch did literally nothing more than distract Broly and push Goku to transform. How the frick is that 'rescued' ?

If a woman helps in any way that is pandering and means the man is emasculated. A real man is badass all the time and never loses or needs help.

That was tight as hell. I've only read the original comics, what was that form Goku took?

Cool animation and take on the characters. Vegeta losing his super saiyan form when hit too hard was nice.

I wonder if we'll ever get a proper shounen PPG cartoon. I'd love a proper RRB vs PPG fight.

    >an anime whose biggest achievement is the battle scenes that looks good in the first watch but later it feels like a fight between two dragonflies in fast forward

Animation looks very cool and very well made... but the script and product itself feels kinda odd to me.
Maybe, is this how Americans think DB is supposed to be like?

    t. Not-American (obviously) asking for an honest reply and discussion

      >but the script and product itself feels kinda odd to me.

Yeah something bugged me about the dialogue.

Outside the final exchange between Veg & Goku, It felt like the lines where lifted out of The Funi dub itself.

The inclusion of Broly marks it immeidately as a western fan-animation. I do llike the idea of someone like a frieza's henchmen coming to stop the Piccolo-Goku fight. Like a premature Raditz.

        >premature Raditz

Nothing wrong with that... doesn't make him any less of a Saiyan...
