everyone knows its gonna be shit so why bother?
Waterloo was already the definitive Nappy kino
literally zero hype./
>Less than 24 hours until the premiere of Napoleon
have a nice day
a film directed by senile 100 year old Ridley Sott staring 50 year old Jaoquin who looks like hes been on meth for a decade
Every scene in the trailer was historically inaccurate, so what is even the point?
They obviously didn't pay much for marketing.
Have zoomers ever been in the same room as a history book? like even once?
Why would I talk about premiers, am I Mario Lopez?
No one cares until the reviews are out
If you slap a shitty filter on everything, then I'm sorry, but your movie is a small screen experience.
I hope Ridley Scott dies.
I don't know why he called it Napoleon when it's only about Josephine
not interested
and I say that as a huge Napoleon nerd
Because us manlets can never catch a break.
>Joaquin is actually 5'8.
Huh, never knew.
>Joaquin is actually 5'8.
the frick
That's a normal height
For a woman? Sure.
I wish Kubrick made his Napoleon movie.
No one in America cares about the lil fat manlet that granted algerians frog citizenship
a napoleon movie from the man to did the duelists is utterly tantalizing, and i want to believe it will be good, even worth seeing in theatres, but it probably wont be given hollywoods track record
the duelists was nearly 50 years ago anon
hence why i dont think it will be as good
Because Kubrick cucked everyone who ever attempts a Napoleon film and he didn't even make it
Saw the trailer on Tuesday before a showing of A Haunting in Venice.
Visually it looks amazing, but there was absolutely nothing about Napoleon's characterization or story that piqued any interest. All it really did was make me want to rewatch Macbeth (2015).
God love Ridley Scott and his ability to work with great actors and cinematographers, but I swear to God he has picked some of the worst, or at best droll scripts in history to direct.
It’s gonna be Joaquim played an unhinged schizo for the fiftieth time but in 19th century cosplay
because we all know it will pale in embarrassing inferiority when compared to pic related
the pacing, story, actors, and writing of waterloo is 2/10, but the battle is 10/10. it is deeply flawed. (and of course zero gore but that's a given)
>the pacing, story, actors, and writing of waterloo is 2/10
holy shit, i haven't seen a filtering so brutal since the great flood! u probably eat up your entire school district's special needs budget all by yourself
if you want to watch a big ol mass of conscripts attempt a historical reenactment (that is also mostly historically inaccurate) then be my guest, but it fails utterly as a kino otherwise. aesthetically it also sucks that they all speak english
I'd rather watch War and Peace again.

because ridley is a fricking hack
Black person in trailer = i wont watch
We are just making shit up now?
I thought it doesn't come out until November??
My schooling never taught anything about him and only covered our own history and the Holocaust, everything I know about Napoleon is from memes and jokes about his height, why do people hate him?
The "best" reason to hate him is his reintroduction of French colonial slavery. He was also a dictator, albeit a wildly popular and enlightened despot.
I wish I had power in Hollywood just so I could walk in when they are deciding to make these movies and go "this seems like a bad idea" and then walk out.
wokeness won
nobody cares about some stupid biopic about old white men
