>Let us hands forth be known. Young Tino Tonitini have reached an unprecedented level of maturity.
You anons should too. Some people will just not like you regardless and should just accept it and move on. That includes the girls you simp for.
>Let us hands forth be known. Young Tino Tonitini have reached an unprecedented level of maturity.
You anons should too. Some people will just not like you regardless and should just accept it and move on. That includes the girls you simp for.
"Henceforth," not "hands forth."
her mom is what i want in a wife
Does knowing American life made her plump up improve it for you anon?
And that Tish is likely to follow suit
exactly what i want; marry a young woman and watch her grow plump and matronly as we grow old together. sweet and lovely ike preserves.
A weekenders tumblr was one of the very first tumblr sites I ever visited, I think in 2009 or 2010.
You set this up. DIDN'T you?
no i actually keep that gif around for times just like this
a skirt that goes up to your armpits and then has swimsuit straps is called a dress. girls used to wear them.
what ethnicity was she again?
jews from a fictional eastern european country, i forget if they named it or just called it the old country.
filhty israelites migrated to America after the fall of the USSR
it's hardly flighty, it's quite sensible. And more of them did BEFORE the 'fall' of the ussr. yknow because it was even more fricked for them back then. and even before before, the tsar was not nice to them either. Russia's been fricked for a while.
The younger generation has no idea what certain phrases are, and can't hear anything properly. Hence why they're using "brother in Christ" when it's actually "Mother of Christ".
My brother in Christ it’s to replace the n word same way people my age used shit like “nibba”
a tragically fedora yet still somehow conservative friend of mine actually got annoyed by it because he thought it was people legitimately assuming christianity in each other.
Stuff like that is as funny as it is frustrating, I swear my dad was gonna have a heart attack stressing himself out a years back cause he was so sick of people “overreacting” about Harambe’s death, I couldn’t get it through to him that it was all a joke and the effort people were putting in was part of it
it's the double edge of trolling
for every "we got that smug b***h oprah" there's literally millions of innocent moms who are now pushed harder into insanity than before. It's not enough to discredit her in front of us, it has to be in front of them too.
Anon is esl
ESLs make translation mistakes, not mondegreens. They can't mishear something that is never spoken around them, you moron.
ehhh ESL by definition is learning english. making mistakes like this is exactly what you do when learning a language.
well something went wrong. rewind, start over.
Weekenders was good.
Which one, Cinemaphile, would you rather spend the weekend with?
Left looks less deformed
tish is more my type, but she'd have to be open to me debunking her dumb teen fad beliefs
Lor is hot and a total bro, but I'd just make her feel dumber
it's the barrettes. kids of immigints always have kinda wonky fashion sense. you need bangs, Tish!
Tish looks like she's be more willing to get naked.
how does she LOOK like that?
Lor looks like she'd be chill with hanging out nude, but might actually be kind of uptight if you brought it up. Tish on the other hand actually would be fine with it because her family raised her with euro standards.
please shush
Lor would give a VERY enthusiastic handjob but probably not frick, Tish MIGHT frick you, but only like a 15% chance and it'd either be all or nothing
is that all you do on a weekend with a girl?
yeah they needed more beach episodes
>Lor would give a VERY enthusiastic handjob but probably not frick
I don't care how enthusiastic she is, I have no interest in something I could just as easily do myself.
when i was a kid? right
now? neither, that's weird
are you a different person now?
i'm an adult now
Why not both?
Tish, not just because I'm bookish like her, but because she was one of my earliest animated crushes
why (You) homies treat every Cinemaphiletoon like it's a dating sim?
where do you think we are?
not Cinemaphile
Which one would step on me?
>Celtic Tomboy
>Slavic Nerd
Honestly it's a hard choice
i forget, did tish celebrate hanukkah? it kinda fits with her coming from an oppressive country that drove her family out
Yeah, it's in the christmas episode where she details suffering "the worst Hanukkah ever!". They're basically a family of nebulously slavic israelites.
yeah they remind me a lot of a family of russian israelites my family was friends with. nice peeps, I remember when they had us over for thanksgiving and it was their first proper AMERICAN one where they fully embraced the traditional food (though the grandma still made some good-ass russian israelite food)
Yeah, her family 100% comes from somewhere in the former Pale of Settlement. Around Ukraine or Belarus most likely
the b***h with the glasses is a israelite
So you're saying puberty will hit her like a truck and she'll fill out?
Thanks /misc/ go back anytime.
Not that it matters.
ok?
Is that one anon still on Cinemaphile where he randomly spams a shit ton of fanfiction links and one of them is a story about the blonde girl being trans?
I wish this existed made from 1080p rips.
i like the top right outfit the most.
Tish was cutest when her kite was ever so broken
What about Tino and Carver?
>gave them multiple outfits but couldnt give them a few different swimsuits to wear
Bikinibros we were robbed.
I'm right.
They were pretty damn rich, but you don't need a whole different wardrobe of swimsuits, yknow?
>don't need a whole different wardrobe of swimsuits, yknow?
They could have rotated between at least two or three different designs.
>so you think that just starts on your bar mitzvah.. no anon, it's gradual.
I know that but in cartoons teenaged characters like 13-16 the focus of many episodes is about crushing and relationships stuff. Characters ages 12 and under are more lighthearted kid adventures. Not saying 12 and under is void of crushing episodes, its just my view.
>but anon said 'girl' so i am confuse
typo
girls
ah okay
i concur smeet should draw both the girls
I respect the autism of whoever made this
we often forget just how much work it is to splice together a bunch of images. and that's when you already have them curated for you. if you have to go through and screencap as you watch, it could take ages.
sex with all of them
i can still hear her voice
not too different from Ole Golly actually
For me it's
God it took me forever to find the one that an anon cleaned up and improved a few years back
Did he get it from a better source? I downloaded the series either from one of the /t/ threads or through Qbit
middle girl has fricking sexy feet
which one do you think is the most ticklish? I say Lor but you really got to pry it out of her.
Tino missed opportunity to get footjob from her
iiiiiiIIIIT'S MUFFIN TIME!
Muffamuffamuffa, Muffin Time!
I always wanted a cut scottish tomboy girlfriend, but there's no way I would have been able to keep up with her or hold her attention, so I guess in the end it's better to have never loved and lost at all.
Tino, Tish, & Lor is one of Cinemaphile's best OT3's and it's a shame how little content there is for it
>just OT3
>Not the superior Mrs. Tonitoli incest combined with the OT3
>Mrs. Tonitoli /ll/ Lor and Tish to make sure they're worthy of her son
>Training them to be better lovers
>So all three of them can please Tino at the same time.
>Hey Tino I can do it way better than she can
Why does no one like Carver?
BLAND
even aa as kid i quewtioned the profitability of that restaurant
Tino is more bland than Carvar. Don't pretend this is anything more than the typical self-insert propaganda.
carter didn't have any good episodes at least tino hsd a hot mom
Ding-ding-ding, you solved the puzzle. Anyone who watched the show knows all four of them work perfectly together. Even as ships, all four work in some way.
>Tino/Lor or Carver/Lor because they're similar
>Tino/Tish or Carver/Tish because opposites attract
You could even go the homosexual route and pair both boys and girls together and it works just as well.
I like how this show never started shipping within the group of four. I like how they were just friends.
They are also all 12 year olds and not teenagers to avoid teen drama issues regarding crushes...for the most part. Some episodes dabbled in it, like Tino and the punk girl
I remember when I first watched and thought Lor was a boy until I saw 'him' in a swimsuit. Hell, if they did a timeskip series, you can easily have their children as friends too, without even pairing any of the four together. You could focus on a new group of kids altogether with the original four as supporting characters and that would work as well too.
I damn sure had a crush on Tish back then.
>They are also all 12 year olds and not teenagers to avoid teen drama issues regarding crushes...for the most part. Some episodes dabbled in it, like Tino and the punk girl
so you think that just starts on your bar mitzvah.. no anon, it's gradual.
the reason is you are good artist and the girls are hot. but anon said 'girl' so i am confuse
who would ever self-insert as tino
what propaganda does tino promote?
because we're lonely and all we ever had is TV, and now that's being taken away and ruined too
Any male MC with female friends (keyword) will attract a loser who projects himself into that MC and claims he has a harem of said female cast. Bonus points if the MC is in a single-mother household, prompting incest fantasies.
so your concern is -loser- self-inserts.
you realize this is backwards to all self-insert concerns for the last 40 years, right
No, my issue is some idiot always pops up in threads like this and assumes the MC is fricking every girl when in reality, he's either with one girl or none at all, or he's just friends with said characters. It gets old after a while.
he's shallow and materialistic
i'm happy for the depiction, but he's not a good person
nobody is using brother in christ in the same contexts as mother of christ, e.g. as an expletive. they're using it as a 'my good man,' time-filler. it's from regular-christianity. yknow the not catholic kind.
>Why does no one like Carver?
I've got no problem with Carver, it's just that it's really, really obvious that Carver is gay(like to a degree that's honestly kind of amazing to see in a late 90's Disney cartoon), he'll be the cool gay uncle to their many many kids
eh honestly it's more that Tino/Tish, Tino/Lor, and Lor/Tish are all incredibly adorable ships that it's impossible to choose just one so might as well have them be a throuple and be adorable dorks together
>it's just that it's really, really obvious that Carver is gay(like to a degree that's honestly kind of amazing to see in a late 90's Disney cartoon), he'll be the cool gay uncle to their many many kids
Explain.
>i don't think this world ever existed outside of a few rich neighborhoods
What 3rd world are you from this was middle class living in America in 2000.
it really wasn't.
throughout the 90s, kids were kept indoors, most places people lived (rural, suburban) it was not possible to walk anywhere, things were too distant. if it was possible (urban), it wasn't safe to do so.
and we didn't WANT to go out anyway, everyone was a jerk so we just wanted to watch tv shows and play videogames, which got us shit on.
by the 2000s that had only gotten worse, and it continued exponentially. now even adults don't go anywhere.
I lived a suburban smallish town life in the 90s, and we played vidya a max of 3 hours, and not even every day. My street friends and I biked places, went swimming, threw my whistling nerf ball around at the park, caught salamanders and tadpoles near the local brook, had rad halloweens, and stayed out doing whaever till 8 at night some days. All without causing problems or getting arrested. Sounds like you got robbed, son.
You sound like you got a really skewed view of things. Almost like a zoomer faking out to be a 90s kid.
okay well, it's a view of what we all went through that nobody, anywhere, on the entire internet, has ever questioned before when I said it, just agreeing that that's how it was.
so maybe the fact that we're in the "Rewrite history" era should make you pause a little and ask whether you're the wrong one
i forgot about her hilariously bad food. that was a great running gag.
>and ask whether you're the wrong one
I'm in my late 30s, I was there, I think I know what I am talking about.
mkay. well so am I, and so was I.
Do you ... also claim to have memories of expressing your view of events and never once having it contradicted or questioned?
I have never heard of anyone claiming that the families in this show are rich until you mentioned it. Its wrong to me.
Tinos family - divorced single mother, dont think theres alot of money between dad and moms side. Average house and car.
Tishs family - immigrants that were likely from poorer country, doing better in the series but far from rich
Lors family - she has a million brothers and sisters, that family is likely struggling a bit, not rich
Carvers family - i dont remember much about them, but i never got the impression they were rich.
They were all middle class families at the turn of the century. I don't even think its really fair to say they were even upper middle class either.
I'm not saying they have any RIGHT to be rich, I'm saying their lifestyle is that of rich californians living in the kinds of cities where crime literally can't afford to live there. Everything they do requires massive disposable income. Real kids (and again, in the 90s, when things weren't even as bad as the 2000s) did not go out and order food on their own, ever. at most they might bicycle around, these kids -walk.- and still manage to get to a huge variety of different, enriching locations. totally unescorted.
there was not enough money even at the peak of functioning economy to go out to eat with that kind of frequency, least of all for kids. Only in small, rich areas were things ever this good, and most of those were suburbs so you could not get around without a car. and stranger-danger overprotection completely kiboshed autonomy. I'm not making this up.
>I'm saying their lifestyle is that of rich californians living in the kinds of cities where crime literally can't afford to live there.
How fricking particular do you want to get over a kids cartoon? Do you want Tino to get mugged on his way to the mall? Lor molested on their way to school? Your experiences have soured you and gave you this odd view that "everyone is rich" because the cartoon displays middle class life with no crime. Should have known better than to interact with a moron, this post was already a dead giveaway
You're making it sound like every kids cartoon has a rich cast or takes place in a rich setting. Many shows depict kids buying candy at a convenience store, for example. Or walking, or biking. They get an allowance from their parents, or get some job or trade things. How nitpicky do you wanna get here its a KIDS cartoon. You want a show depicting the poor? Good luck getting that greenlit.
Sorry you had a rough childhood in the bronx or Brazil or whatever heck place you came from man. Sheesh. The Weekenders is a middle class show deal with it.
like I said, I don't WANT it to be more realistic, I'm just saying this is a fantasy childhood that very few people got to have. And if you got to have a similar one, be grateful. You're relatively alone in that.
>making it sound like every kids cartoon
well, it was disproportionate, yeah. largely based on the writers' memories of their own childhoods, where kids were much more independent and things were a lot cheaper. Doug always comes to mind for me, that was the first time I experienced that utterly anachronistic version of childhood that no kid in the 90s got to experience.
>that was the first time I experienced that utterly anachronistic version of childhood that no kid in the 90s got to experience.
What did Doug do differently?
well it didn't do anything differently, it contained the older style of childhood, accurate as of the Goonies etc. Before parents went nuts and locked everything down. Again, riding to a fast food joint every single day after school, attending concerts, spending most of your time just out of the house unaccompanied, having significant income as a kid without any prominent chores, and (if you needed something REALLY expensive like a skateboard) having to / being allowed to go get -a real job- mowing lawns etc.
>if it was possible (urban), it wasn't safe to do so.
You are full of shit, I can confirm that I was raised in an apartment complex and everything we needed, we could walk to or even take the bus or train to, and the main rule was
>Don't talk to strangers
>Mind your business
>Watch where you're walking (don't step in dogshit or bump into someone)
So long as you did that, you were gold.
then you were lucky, and my parents and their neighbors would have shaken their heads at your parents and their neighbors. but yours were right. Glad you got to experience that, my good man. Most of us didn't.
>Most of us
I think that other anon was right, you live in a 3rd world country and I'm sorry for your misfortune but NY and Harlem despite having their underbellies (surprise surprise) weren't riddled with crime to the point where kids couldn't go out and play or walk the streets. Maybe during the crack epidemic, but by the 90's, most areas kinda calmed down.
t. lived in a neighborhood where crack phials were all over the ground and the people in said area did they damnedest to clean it up. By the 2000's things were even better, at least in my area.
I'm not saying it wasn't perfectly safe everywhere I lived (past when I was 7, that place was legitimately dangerous)
I'm saying normal mainstream parents were paranoid as FRICK. it was the peak of parental paranoia and overprotectiveness. These days it's more regimented, less fueled by the radio and well-meaning but profoundly wrong people at church.
stranger danger is a fallacy, but my assertion that it changed childhood in the 90s is not.
lookin pretty good smeets. I think widening the faces slightly would help but it's not vital.
Frick, you were one of those kids who lived in a shitty country but also had a super religious household. The worst of both worlds.
this is a uniquely american thing we're talking about, anon. midwest. minnesota. the only kids who ran wild on their own were seen as dangerous and poor, and their only activities were presumed to be vandalism-related.
now I will grant you that as I became a teenager and it turned into the 00s, I happened to move to 3 or 4 places that were pretty bad for socializing, so if that scene HAD existed back where I used to live, but was only for teens? Then maybe I missed out and it did happen. Because I spent like, okay 7th grade was in a nice rich suburb. Safe, but couldn't get around without a car. 8th grade was in the middle of buttfrick nowhere, 9th grade I got to homeschool, same place. 10th grade I spent half the year waiting for Mom to get more supplies and she drunkenly didn't and I had to go back to regular school, which was in a different rich suburb, again nothing walkable. By this point a lot of my classmates had cars, and I had gotten my learner's permit and discovered I hated driving. but that's hardly childhood anymore. then 11th, back to a DIFFERENT middle of buttfrick nowhere, where teens did nothing but drugs because there was nothing to do. So I can't claim my teens were all that normal, but my childhood definitely was typical of an entire culture, and in one of the best-educated states.
oh helll yes. lookin real good smeet.
Maybe you should consider that your experience was probably not the universal one for most people of that era. I don’t live in America and I can absolutely say that growing up in the 90’s/00’s this was my experience and the experience of the vast majority of my peers.
again, then why has nobody ever once contradicted me, and always agreed with me, until right here and now? I've lived in a massive variety of different places across several states, moving basically every year or every other year, and once internet came around (in 2000 for me), could compare notes with everyone from across the country and the world.
Go away ghetto superstar.
They were afraid of having the conversation we're having with you right now that you've got a narrow homeschooled moved-alot kid view of things and they just shrugged and nodded instead.
Because I've lived in and around Dallas TX all my life, from rougher parts of downtown to fairly posh suburbs through the 90s, and at least understood rocket power or weekenders or recess was mostly normal cartoon kid stuff.
I mean, once my friends and I had cars and cellphones, we just hung out at eachothers houses instead of walking and biking places or hanging at McDonald's or the mall, but still. There were a lot of shows like this because it was an idyllic but fairly grounded 90s kids life.
Except for that homie Arnold. He had a whole ass dope apartment.
>really obvious that Carver is gay
I watched the whole show and never got that vibe from him. I think you are projecting again anon.
He’s black
He's white suburbanized black though.
really mis these kind of looking girls (& women)
they didnt go anywhere
>they didnt go anywhere
ive never been liked, so easo
wait, i thought there were 5 in the group
You're thinking of Recess.
>Recess
>TJ, Spinelli, Vince, Gretchen, Mikey, Gus
>Five
how does that pizzeria stay in business? it rrmodels every fricking week. is it a money launderimg scheme?
Do you think money laundering is supposed to be expensive to run?
Can anyone confirm that this was the only cartoon to have outfit changes for the main cast? Because I cant think of any other cartoon where the characters have a regular rotating wardrobe. Must have cost alot of money in the budget.
There’s As Told by Ginger, Polly Pocket 2018, The Wild Thornberries (Eliza and Debbie), and All Grown Up (Except they changed the clothes after S1 to something different for the remaining episodes and seasons).
But did any of these shows have daily changing outfits like Weekenders? Remember Weekenders started Fridays and ended Sunday (rare sometimes Monday)
smeet needs to draw the girl. or anyone for that matter.
>smeet needs to draw the girl
... I mean, I'd like one good reason haha
>I'd like one good reason haha
You seem like the type of guy that wants to draw so many characters out there at least once. Plus they are girls so I assumed maybe youd want to give them a spin. You must search your name in the archive its uncanny how often you actually show up when summoned.
>mfw they could all be in their 30s now possibly with kids of their own
They should do a reboot like that. Fits perfect for Disney+.
Though it’s been almost 20 years it could be hard to bring back the old crew.
>a kids cartoon where the kids hang out and there are no smartphones and social media. its just crt monitor'd computers and landlines with flipphones, tube tvs, etcc...
>kids actually go places and do stuff, bike, go to the mall, no needing to be online all the time
We can never go back..................
i don't think this world ever existed outside of a few rich neighborhoods
but we need to go back anyway. we have the power. eliminate bureaucracy and let humans take control.
>Tino I think it's time I told you about sex-ed
I can just imagine how her version would go... he'd learn the chemical composition of semen but there'd be no mention of pleasure.
>but there'd be no mention of pleasure
You sure about that?
it is weird that her head is tilted and her eyes aren't..
okay but those were immediate neighbors, right?
even so though, that is a rare and wonderful upbringing. you got gifted.
Does it matter?
now they're pointed downward, which is kind of even weirder.
it's one of those funny art styles where it's appealing, but only because everything's balanced just right.
Oh anon
does he spend a lot more time in the sun than she does, or is his dad wayy tan. we never did get to see him, right?
First, I think his dad show up in one episode and he is as light as his mom
I would teach this lady how to cook, then bathe and bang her.
Do you now?
His dad is lighter too (he only appears in the last episode). Presumably he's darker because he's an italian schoolkid who's always outside with his friends in sunny california. I get a little darker than that if I get a bunch of sun in the spring/summer.
oh that's right. he got some of his face shape from him
yeah I guess tino's just tanned and has sunbleached hair.
Damn this thread took an odd turn
nostalgia is the only thing we have left, the only place our minds can comfortably live. it's not fun to hear even our memories threatened.
I'm very okay with idealized settings in shows, they don't have to be like reality. Let me just escape. Let me imagine having it to do over again. getting to have friends, go out and have activities, date.. do something other than school-tv-sleep
Tomboys...in pretty dresses!
hmmmm
make it a sundress and we'll talk
or a cavegirl/fairy dress
Eh
Tougher than it looks to get the heads down, huh?
not smeet but it's tricky!! i've tried sketching a bit from this show before..
i like how Simon did it
pyw and simons
you are very lucky I managed to decipher that you're telling me to post my work
uh here you go, https://files.catbox.moe/tq7lf4.jpg
and due to his name being impossible to search for, I can't find Simon's
lmfao
Not bad. Are you new to art? You got potential. Any galleries?
Are you into feet or was that a req?
it was in response to a suggestion in a thread
I draw a lot. this was about 7 years ago. I have only recently become pretty good. thank you for retroactively seeing my potential
I do like feets though gotta say.
uh the only gallery i update anymore is pixiv https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/14889432
Oh, its you! I ran into you in the Thundercats thread.
You've shown alot of skill growth since then, if those posted pics are seven years old.
Honestly I was eying the lines and felt a degree of Harriet-ness in Lor's head that made me ponder if it was infact your art, but it being so rough, I wasn't sure if it was.
yeah I take to western art styles irritatingly well, given how hard i'm trying to weeb out.
It is...your destiny.
We have thousands of weebish artists putting out weebish things, I appreciate the good western artists we have, that draw different variety of toons well.
Wait, were you...
ColdFusion?
yo
is Tish wearing a skirt with her swimsuit?
Do her
https://files.catbox.moe/3zh98h.png
>Just straight up leaves the tired text up
i think he's making a pun, because it used to say 'bear with me'
Love her blush.
>single mom trope
i miss that trope why did they kill it off?
was it too deep?
it's still alarmingly and depressingly common.
Missing Pepper Ann if only Disney, As Told By Ginger if we got beyond.
>kill it off
if anything it's more relatable since over 1/5 of american households are single parent homes
the only thing I remember about this show was that the black dude was afraid of worms and for some reason they go to a museum and put him in a worm tank
and the speaker at the museum was voiced by Ben Stein and added more worms to the tank like a fricking butthole lol
>Weekenders thread losing steam right before the weekend
i'll keep it alive as long as i'm able
but i'm afraid my free time will be spent drawing Mabel
You silly goose, Mable wasnt in the Weekenders.
i know
normally snow here, but this year ISS GON' RAIN
Link the thread where you are dropping Mabel art.
Are you a UKgay?
it doesn't normally snow in the UK does it?
this one
It can but they also get alot of rain.
that's my favorite thing about their climate yeah. i miss washington. didn't get much snow there, but it was comfortable.
How green/brown is your christmas going to be, anons? Christmas is never white where I am.
We stopped having White X-mas over here in the late 2000s anon. And I’m literally 20 minutes away from NYC.
Kinda happy cause shoveling snow but also kinda wish it was still a thing.
Like it was way back in the 80-90s. Like the way my dad told me. By late November there was almost always snow on the ground by then. Only reason he told me was cause he didn’t like getting his jeans soaked. Lol
It's 30C warmer than it was this time last year
Its a pretty brown Christmas
i live in miami. best we're getting is 60 degree weather.
We seem to be getting the moesson with about the same temperatures.
Christmas is going to be like Angel Eyes.
Wet Wet Wet.
>Fighting for right to repair alongside Tino's mom.
>Then taking her out to dinner after.
Found this in one of my folders.
>you will never manhandle Lor and carry her around like a kitten
why'd you get rid of the other two
Cus i ship tino and lor.
>Cus i ship tino and lor.
cute but the full Tino/Tish/Lor OT3 with their supportive gay friend Carver is the truest path of all
Did the artist of the show ever do something else?
Didn’t Stephen Silver do some character design work on this show?
Holy shit your right
How do this fricker keep making these extremely frickable characters??
The problem with reality is everyone has their own version of it
I used to like this guys art.
He posts new stuff on Cinemaphile sometimes its like his art is stuck in 2009. It has a weird feel to it now.
His strangely detailed clothes imply he draws by reference. I don't wanna know what reference he uses.
He likely just pulls up photos of clothes anon, I don't know why you are "going there". He always seemed to have a fetish for girls in jeans.
So basically he draws like a money,
Monkey sees monkey do.
Kinda sad he doesn’t take his talent and tries to go to the next level.
Memorization of anatomy clothing textures when used frequently would make for an amazing self improvement.
Speak of the devil
So apparently for a moment this show got insane ratings, even beating out the absolute juggernaut that was the Pokemon anime.
You'd expect Disney to do more with this as a result, but they didn't. Why?
Because they delayed Recess: School's Out due to being scared of being overshadowed by Pokemon 2000. Not that I blame them.
Interesting, had no idea.
Weekenders could have done another season, sure, but we got what we got before it tanked in quality. I personally remember the fourth last season starting to get a little Tish heavy with the same plot line of her having an issue and dragging her friends into it.
Shut up b***h.
we need more draw gays. possibly to take requests. but with xmas almost here i doubt anyone is around.
Yeah I'm trying to get stuff done and I'm planning on leaving to go see my folks for the next few days
So if I draw anything its only gonna be a sketch
Understandable drawgays are in short supply over the hoildays.
Busy drawgay here
I don't know if I'll finish this before I leave got presents to wrap, stuff to pick up, a stupid online course to finish cause frick the holidays apparently, and still pack
apparently the last time I drew up Lor was like 6 years ago and I couldn't let that fly
You got any socials anon?
Its also how he draws faces, they seem "off" sometimes.
kazecloud
twitter and pixiv are my main ones got a bsky account for the inevitable death of twitter
I am amazed that people still cling to Twitter despite it being put through the ringer for the last year due to bozo. It is an interesting social experiment to see just how long people will cling to a platform, because they are scared to jump ship to anyplace else, for fear of loosing their following.
I've been shadow banned to hell
only reason I haven't given it up is because all my friends still use it and everyone else is still there despite all the stupid people, bots and etc. etc.
If Twitter ever bans all porn like Tumblr that's gonna be when everyone jumps ship, but Twitter doesn't want to do that since they've already seen the results of getting rid of all porn will result in a dead social media site
I have been calling it for years that they would do that, however with many advertisers gone, they don't have much as a reason to. Funny how these places all get infested with porn like Tumblr and Patreon, and its a double edged sword because it keeps them going but at the same time they may not want to be associated with it and known as a porn site.
it shouldn't be this hard to just tell a company 'hey, advertise the majority. they will give you money, and they will shut the minority up for you'
Nice!
eyy nice to see you here
Someone draw Lor in a cute santa outfit with matching hat! With or without Tish if you like.
Really annoying that this show isn't in Disney+
you're paying for disneyplus??
like all shows from 2000 (mission hill, undergrads, etc), it is not just regular decade-dated, but immediately year-dated. There are so many things that disappeared abruptly one afternoon in 2001.
I never saw a difference in kids cartoons post 911, if that is what you are getting at.
i think you'll find you did.
>Trying to gaslight me
No, I did not. This is the "I lived in the ghetto so every cartoon depicts kids in a rich neighborhood" anon isn't it.
could you just leave
Kek, why, because I and other anons called you out for your biased world view? Is this ColdFusion? Typing pattern seems to fit a little bit.
>you're paying for disneyplus??
Lol no, I use someone else's account.
Has enough time passed that the clothing in the show looks dated and "of its time"? I mean this series is 23 years old.
I'd say yes, you don't see girls like Tish or Tino's mom anymore
Tish needs a little love too
I understand why cartoons are (or rather were) written that way, but its still incredibly unrealistic that noone ends up dating in a group of four teens.
>but its still incredibly unrealistic that noone ends up dating in a group of four teens.
They are 12 years old anon
Eh. Close enough.
not anymore it's not. kids today are fricking neutered, often literally.
but yes back in the day when teens and preteens roamed wild and free, they would have been dating a little. at least giggling and holding hands.
>Maybe if you weren't such a gay, you coulda tapped that tight scottish ass by now.
>Awww, mom.
I heard the Awww, mom clear as day.
same
>Lor: Hey guys, I've got a hilarious idea! Let's go skinny dipping!
>Tish: Lor, it's the ocean! And there's people everywhere!
>Lor: Duh! That's why it would be funny!
>Tino: This is another one of your "exhibitionism" things, isn't it?
>Lor: Maaaaaybe.
I rushed it, but its finished
take care anons hope y'all have a Merry Christmas
Good work, anon. Eyes are a bit big, but more Lor is always appreciated regardless.
neat
raaad
Tish would probably say something about how her mom did that in her day but it's different now
>Thread still up
Posting an old one from 2011.

god I miss animoose like nobody's business.
Whoa I just got deju vu
Why does this show work so damn well?
I expected it to be generic and mediocre but it’s so well written, relatable, and witty.
definitely good writers and great performances. good attitude too. wasn't pushing anything. they weren't insulting kids nor aping the old nickelodeon 'adults are all morons' stuff which was fun at the time but would have been stale.
it didn't get dramatic, it just stayed fun.
It's a simple enough concept to execute, and the writers didn't push their own creepy personal damage on you through the characters. I'm confident something like Weekenders couldn't be written today though, at least not without turning into a cringe soap opera by shit millennial writers.
Case in point, the degenerate bringing up Carver's sexuality and promoting his incest harem.
>and the writers didn't push their own creepy personal damage on you through the characters.
The only thing I dislike about The Weekenders is when Tino breaks the fourth wall at the end to beat us over the head about the moral of the episode. Kids aren't stupid, they will understand!
at least half the time it was like him debriefing himself, like well damn that was some stuff wasn't it
god it does my heart good to hear the term lemon again
I like how in the last season Lor started wearing that top and was showing a bit more skin.
why did her stupid humongous forehead turn me on so much as a kid? why does it still?
I didn't even watch the show because it didnt play on my channel. I just remember seeing the design one day and thinking "wow, that girl is hot"
females are supposed to have a nice dainty small lower-face-area, with a larger, more rounded upper cranial area. it's the opposite of the chad face meme. That said, their foreheads are also not drawn very big, they are only a brief space above the eyebrows, so that helps a lot. Otherwise a big forehead on a girl isn't good and you'd want bangs. as it is, I feel like Tish should have ditched the barrettes.
which one of them do you like? they basically have the same face and forehead
Tish
why did the creators only make the girls appealing and human looking? Carver and Tino look likema breadstick and toaster.
I think the artists liked girls (i am projecting)
you are projecting a bit but while I do feel that most characters on this show are drawn pretty similarly, weird occasional head shapes aside, they DID maybe do what a lot of artists do and focus more on the girls being cute and the guys being weird
but in the background they did have other-shaped girls. At least a couple fatties. And plenty of regular normal-looking handsome men.
Carver and Tino are a pineapple and pumpkin respectively.
holy shit they swapped their names
because a pumpkin needs a carver and a pineapple needs a tino
>hands forth
What?
Anyone wanna take draw requests?
Why are these four even friends? They don't share the same interests at all
What do you mean they do lots of stuff together. Plus opposites attract.
that's TV dynamics
they really don't
i got mine from a mega, so they do exist. wish i had a link to it, on the off chance it's still up after like 8 years.
nah artists are lonely folk who are always around.
Many thanks, Anon.
Are there high quality rips of this show? I've been checking some websites and all have low quality TVrips.
DVDs do exist dont they?
Bump
For what purpose? Everyone fricked off for Xmas. No artists are around. Its done.
for me, it's when Tino gets mindbroken over clowns
so hostile for no reason
and on kweznuz eve at that
I bet anything Lor would become a pothead and Tish a frequent wine drinker
And I bet they'd frick.
Nah, Lor's firmly in the straight camp. Weekenders was thankfully too early for forced diversity lesbianism.
Truth. Coomers will ship anything if it makes sense in their head.
yes but by highschool it was... well, still early 2000s, so yeah that's not happening.
yep! a lil israelitetie cutie pie.
>sexualities other than being straight didn't exist until 2014
anon there are people right now with bubonic plague
it doesn't change the fact that getting the plague is something that is inevitable in some years and unheard of in others.
uh yeah why do you think the tagline of the show was 'later gays'
There's a high chance Lor grows out of being a tomboy in High School and/or ends up a lesbian.
You're probably on the money with Tish though
>Let us hands forth be known
...
hehe, anal nightmare..
...You won't be laughing when it's Your Anal Nightmare, now will you, champ?
one of these days we have to learn how to fuse two women together, because damn if a ton of shows don't have the perfect girl somewhere between the tomboyish one and the smart one.
I want my sailor mercupiter, dammit.
such an excellent voice cast
>hands forth
i need to remember to watch space ghost christmas tomorrow
>hfw you cum inside Tish
