I think about death every day.

Memento mori, it is not a bad thing to think about death every day when you have faith in salvation.

        Anonymous

That's true. But is worthy to live life just to get salvation?

That's a normal reaction, many people have wander about death in their life. What feeling does death elicit for you?

It gives me feeling of liberation and fear. What does it mean?

          liberation and fear.

          liberation in terms or burden?
          fear of the unknown?

Christianity, I guess. But sometimes I believe more in God's judgement than Grace.

I had this fear what helped me was meditating on a quote from Midnight in Paris saying about death "It's something all men before you have done. All men will do".. and I thought what am I being a pussy about. Every single man will go through it why am I special? Whatever it is everyone will do it. We die alone but we will all do it together.

That's actually quite thoughtful, thank you.

They really emasculated the image of the mafioso in this tv show, and his son abandons faith in God after reading Nietzsche. Also a bunch of weird stuff about israelites.

All-in-all, I couldn't bring myself to get into this tv show despite the many meme-able moments. As an aside, I did have the makings of a varsity athlete growing up, but never had the makings of a gangster.

      >They really emasculated the image of the mafioso in this show
I didn't get that impression, it simply shows them for the morons they really are. People that choose a life of crime do it because they can't succeed as regular citizens not because they're hypermasculine badasses
      >and his son abandons faith in God after reading Nietzsche
that's a completely normal thing for teenagers, to reject the teachings of their parents and authority figures and latch onto ideas that piss those people off. Also it's not like he had good Christian role models, Tony is a closet atheist

this is actually the thing that most dates the show.

literally no therapist worth paying would begin like that today. therapy now is all about specific goals and shit. if you want an old school pay to be your friend therapist its outrageous expensive, everyone on the insurance lists does cognital behavioral therapy now. which apparently works really well for normies to get out of their "depression".

I miss the day with Niles, Frasier, Melfi and Hannibal Lectar where you can just start off talking about generalities oppose to specific psychological issues.

When Tony Soprano and his goons went to Italy in (season 2) I realized how disappointed they all were at the end.

Is Italy a shit hole? Or is more so it didn't met their grandiose expectations of the culture?

Southern Italy is definitely a shit hole. It's the organized crime capital of the world, what more do you need to know?

No offense but how can you be this moronic? They were classless Americans. It's showing that they have nothing in common with real Italy. Think of the scene with the fish and the meatballs. They expected Italy to just be New Jersey+.. Although that scene with Paulie and the opera singer on the boat I think maybe he did get something out of it. The others didn't

That one scene with Camela and the old israelite therapist really shows how terrible Melfi was. She basically just coddled Tony and never changed her approach despite him never showing signs of meaningful improvement

She got so fat between each season that they actually wrote it into her script and it was something she needed to talk to Elliot about. Unreal, why don't women every try? Fricking just try okay?
