Let's put it to rest. We all need to admit what happened. It's spelled out in plain detail and it could not be more clear what happened:

Noah finally punched his fricking lights out.

close. somebody ordered a side of converted rice and he went face down in the onion rings. Noah was busy studying in europe and banging crazy b***hes like caitlin and meadow 5 nights a week while maintaining a 4.0

Nope. It was Noah. That's why Tony sees Meadow last before it all goes blank. The symbolism is there.

I think nobody killed him. He just had a fatal heart attack. If he was wacked, we would at least hear a gunshot

That would be downright spooky since Gandolfini also died of a heart attack while at a restaurant.

Because no movie or show ends with absolutely no resolution to the main character's story

No he didn't, you should read that reddit interview again. They were discussing an alternative ending that clearly shows Tony getting killed on camera.

The biggest mystery in The Sopranos:
It's pointed out that Tony couldn't eat onions due to his gunshot wound. The obese bald man even has to pick the onions off his bialy. Medically, onions are acidic, just like the eggplant Tony told Chris he also couldn't eat because it could "send him back to the hospital".
However, at Holsten's, the only food present is onion rings which Tony eats without issue. Keep in mind the onions on the bialy were also cooked so it's not a matter of cooked vs raw. The entire premise was established in Season 6 so it's not like they just forgot about it.

    Why did they do this?

Quick little way of showing that Tony's refusal to change will eventually doom him. They did that a lot in this show.

Do you guys really think the sopranos is one of the best shows ever? It hasn't aged all that well. It's like breaking bad for pseuds. A show like Frasier is not only older but has somehow aged better

I personally think its the greatest show ever made because it actually pulls off being really close to real life and also being goofy. Also the acting, Tony and Carmela fighting is amazing.

Tony had a sudden vision about an assailant coming up behind him like he did with the fish heads and ducked and fought off the assailant. They just ran out of budget so they couldn't edit the rest of the scene.
