At worlds end is kino. It just goes all out so it was too much for some people.
My only real gripe with it is how unnecessarily convoluted the plot became. The effects and most of the scenes are still kino, though
Kira becoming the pirate king didn't need to happen, in fact the whole sao feng story thread could have been cut. Jack should have voted for barbossa to be the pirate king, would have been a better development between those characters, and would tie in to Barbossa being a pirate king in the 5th movie. Then since Kira's speech before the battle used language from Hector's speech at the court, which admittedly they do show him aknowledging that she quoted him, they could have juat had him deliver it. Would have gone down in history almost as well remembered as Theodin's.
I don’t get that. The franchise starts out with zombie pirates and the second movie had squid or shark hybrids plus a disembodied heart in a treasure chest and a squid the size of a ship, but audiences drew the line at a Black folk sea goddess and Chinese pirates?
