It's a film that no one wanted and didn't ask for. An attempt to revive a franchise that has already played itself out story-wise and had its cultural relevance to decline to being the punchline of 9/11 jokes. It was better off being laid to rest.
Wokeshit made the backlash worse, but it was a fundamentally flawed film that was doomed to fail no matter what.
I don't think the wokeness had anything to do with it. Lightyear was just a mediocre movie whose producers thought it could compete with a Jurassic Park and Top Gun.
