The visuals are actually somehow better in the movie than the marketing makes it out, too bad everything else in it is garbage, it really is not far from battlefield earth tier
Honest answer? There isn't one, at least not a big one. It's missing a lot of characterization because it's basically the "theatrical" version and the cast is moderately diverse (it's nowhere near as bad as people pretend). People hate Snyder for some reason, it seems weirdly personal.
Oh, yeah, I should've mentioned that like Dunc, it's half a movie (but with more of an ending than Dunc), so I guess people overlooked the Part 1 in the title and just assumed the story was fully told there or something.
I've read the book so I know Dunc will at least have a satistfying finale (if they don't spectacularly frick it up)
There's nothing in Rebel Moon that promises the sequels won't be just more incoherent nonsense that keeps going nowhere.
>There's nothing in Rebel Moon that promises the sequels won't be just more incoherent nonsense that keeps going nowhere.
Yes, there is. It's called The Hero with a Thousand Faces.
Yeah even zoomers are programmed to hate snyder. It's weird. I wonder who he pissed off that started his smear campaign against him. His shit is inoffensive and yeah okay slow mo but also i feel like there's hate because he goes against the grain. Also this was always going to get extra hate because it started as a star wars thing but whatever. I love his stuff. I wish we got his JL trilogy
The Snyder hate is very weird, similar to Bay hate. Seems like a relic of the past when Cinemaphile and reddit shared a similar mentality and would criticize movies for being unashamedly explosive, glorifying violence, guns, "male gaze" cinematography, etc.
>Also this was always going to get extra hate
Netflix and Snyder are both relative outsiders in Hollywood (remember how they compared him to Trump back in the day). So Snyder, Netflix pulling together and taking a dump on Disney being reacted to strongly is to be expected, I guess.
>So Snyder, Netflix pulling together and taking a dump on Disney
I don't see how this turd reflects on Disney at all. This is akin to those absurd Ron Perlman dookie memes: >I just shit my pants, how do you like them apples huh Disney?
It was pitted again Disney Wars, even the release date being similar. This board is so obnoxiously low IQ, instead of posting coal non-stop you people should be made to work in literal coal mines.

What star wars released this Christmas? I wasn't aware of any. And again, I'm not sure how Snyder making an excremental film is somehow a dunk on Disney. It's an unforced error. It would've been a lot better for him to make Rebel moon actually good, instead of making it garbage on purpose to somehow "own" Disney.

I'm just trying to understand your point. What star wars movies did this movie release alongside? How is it supposed to "own" Disney by having laughably bad dialogue and a rushed, nonsensical plot?

Christmas has been the common Star Wars slot since Disney took over. Claiming Snyder based it on a rejected Star Wars script and calling it his Star Wars and taking the same release spot their movies are used to probably was seen as a provocation, no? And that last sentence of yours is just imbecilic garbage that proves no education would be better than what the average person receives these days.

>man produces bad films on a regular basis >durr people have been programmed to hate him!
I got nothing against Snyder himself. He seems like a chill guy. His movies aren't good though. No amount of contrarianism will ever make them good. I am going to make a webm of one of the worst scenes in rebel moon as soon as I can find a non-shit quality torrent of it, post it on /wsg/, and then ask people doing apologetics for this film to justify that scene.
Why do you keep making the same thread over and over? Are you one of those critics anally brutalized over the Snyder cut? homie, it's been like 4 years, let it go.
>female mc
It was kino tho
+10 shekels
Dont worry, chad, these posts that say rebel moon bad without saying why are made by bots and npcs
lol I've read several detailed breakdowns about the problems in this film today, you have your head up your ass
It's the most midwitted pilpul shit I've ever seen. Dismissed.
>it hurt my feelings sir!
>you can't say bad things about mr snyder sir!
looks like a full-cgi film from 2004. uncanny valley.

Saw an ad and it didn't look bad. What's the problem?

Well, I think I'll give it a watch once the Christmas senpai finally clears out. Haven't seen an interesting sci-fi since Dunc

shut up gay, we all know it's part one, it's just that snyder makes souless flicks
You are an uncultured, unwashed, room temperature IQ pleb (which would be adorable if you knew when to keep your mouth shut). So shut the frick up.

Lmao what? Ron Pearlman shits his pants to punish Disney? Lmao. That's so insane to be believable.

Even the PG13 cut is at least Krull levels of good. Frick off with your shitty Battlefield Earth meme, it won't stick.
I fell asleep watching it but it's more like that movie about 7 cowboys helping a town

Sofia Nutella
It was a 6/10. Anyone saying otherwise has emotional moronation.
