That election broke the liberal writer's brains so hard they were incapable of writing about a fantasy world that didnt directly relate back to the real world. As important stuff for the plot and later books was removed and replaced with pointless shit. Then there were a bunch of changes made to the lore that fricked up the plots of later books.
