I always wished Robot Wars would do a crossover with picrel where teams have to build a fighting bot using junk and then compete in challenges and a head to head fight at the end.
Junkyard wars was kino. That and the first season of that simulated apocalypse survival show (forgot the name) were peak TV as a kid.

I read the rules for making a robot, and as you might expect, it's just as autistically locked down as the people making these robots to begin with, so I'm guessing flying robots aren't even allowed.
