I watched this. Utter cringe, but the letterboxd trannies writing essays on why this is cringe and evil and the worst thing ever is even more cringe. Seems like they're just jealous that this guy got himself a Hollywood gig for a feature adaptation.
trannies are in the opposite end of the spectrum. And i dont really care or know what you're talking about all i know is that this film is slop unoriginal trash and its only famous because boomer director on a mid life crisis wanted to feel better about himself by making a Harvard kid's dreams "come true"
Any time somebody writes a "movie review" that long and filled with so much off topic nuerosis, you know that person is just projecting their own insecurities. This dipshit wrote a fricking screed against "Zoomers". I haven't seen this movie, but I automatically side against these kiwifarm types. Over analyzing every little thing. Get over your own self, why don't you?
is this the young guy who got a "hollywood movie"? clearly it is just a marketing stunt which has already generated enough press that it will be in the black. it's a good move by the execs who are doing it because it doesn't need to be great, it will make money and they will get some career advancement.
it's just the novelty movie of 2024 or whenever.
Why are asian american guys cucks? Especially the liberal ones from ivy leagues apparently.
Asian man directs WMAF/JewMaleAF film kek
Fun fact. The main actress lily chee IRL is a hapa girl that hates her chinese malaysian heritage and wishes she were a full white girl lol
Looked it up >about that moment right after high school....something something.....hope??
Dropped. Is this big surge of hope and joy after high school something all normies experience? I barely interacted with anyone in high school and when I graduated I got the frick out of my town as quickly as possible and then it was just stress.
I watched it and it's just generic teen nonsense. Exactly the type of sophomoric slop you would except from a 16 year old. Good for him he got picked up a studio though.
The problem with kids who get picked up early or people who peak early in their career is that they can never recreate the magic or they are forever held to that ridiculously high standard. Of all the successful artists I've spoken to they've all said that if you hit gold hold onto it for a few years or wait until you have more experience to share it with the world. Also you gotta remember that a lot of people get picked up for not the best reasons, fricking Baby Reindeer guy even admitted in his own show that he had to get raped to even get the show made in the first place.
I have a friend who's an intern at A24 and he says all you do is go fetch shit for people and try to make connections. Also he says he's always afraid for getting sexualy assaulted but if it came too it he would do it for his job. He's 21

Nice trust fund
I hadn't even heard of this movie until now, but wow, they are really tearing into it. The only positive popular review is from the director himself.

>kiwifarms
this is like when a normie thinks sheldon posts on Cinemaphile
The reviews are just as full of hot air as the director
Why is every asian film guy on youtube from harvard university?
Pointing the camera at something is the easiest way to seem like you have hobbies anon. And homosexual ivy league schools are all about "muh hobbies"
Yes. The """"film"""" starts literally with a Karl Marx quote.
Chinese spies

At 17 why weren't you getting industry established producers producing your films Cinemaphile?
Is that Lily Chee?
Indeed it is. 10/10.

>Kid makes film in highschool
>Goes to harvert
>Darren Aronofsky sends him email
>"hey saw your film, drop out of harbert ill give you a studio
The end
but what happens in the film that is so le special
Absolutely nothing
That's why the whole thing is gay and society is fake.
I remember hearing about this.
Surely there must be some potential somewhere. Aronofsky is not a complete hack.
>Aronofsky is not a complete hack.
I want how he will develop the kids film by forcing some misery porn
Looked it up

Sounds like you made a lot of wrong decisions and now live an unhappy life
>Is this big surge of hope and joy after high school
Yes, it should be a pretty exhilarating feeling for anybody who is even slightly well adjusted.
Being lazy can be empowering. Just ask the neets on this site.
if letterboxd trannies hate it, it must be good
Nope you're wrong. The trannies are right

I want to write a movie where I bang lily chee too.
>lily chee
just looked through her Instagram and GOD DAMN it's not fair
“you’ll never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” struck me.
Qrd on what the short film is about and why the guy from Gotham is in it
I have a friend who's an intern at A24 and he says all you do is go fetch shit for people and try to make connections. Also he says he's always afraid for getting sexualy assaulted but if it came too it he would do it for his job. He's 21
