The only people who liked it were like 15 year olds who never saw the original and fundamentally only liked it cause it was new. Once it stopped being "new" said "fans" stopped watching it. Also most young people don't owns Hulu.
For why the show didn't resonate with original fans it's a mix of not getting the main writiers back, cutting 90% of the shorts, relying to much on Ren and Stimpy esque body humor and not knowing what fricking shading is.
