Gotta love how Rise April was designed by a black woman, and she looks great. But they decide to keep the black april design because they can't go back without being accused of being racist, and this guy possibly has never seen a black person in their lives.
No black person looks like this. In fact if you told Tyrone or Shenquia that this is what real black beauty is, they’d kick your ass and call you a racist
No one is more racist than virtue signalers who call others racist, anon. They see something most people view as harmless and cry foul all the time, and somehow most people don't pick up on the projection.

His thing it to not make appealing designs. Possibly he's better as an animator and not a character designer. You can be a good artist but hired into the wrong position.

>He's not a good artist.
He's terrible >How do these people find work?
Here's the thing anon: In the west they don't care about drawing skills, only how rich and powerful are your parents or sugar daddy.
She's not getting fanart, not in any real amount. You look at "SJW cartoons" like Voltron, MAWS, and She-Ra, people went out and drew the characters, because politics be-damned, they came up with designs people found appealing.
Nobody REALLY finds this abomination appealing. They'll clap their hands and say "so brave! Just like me fr!" but they're not about to put in the time needed to draw something they don't think looks remotely appealing.
Plus it's hard to clean vomit out of a wacom.
They just pretend to like something because they're told it's good, and because it makes le chuds mad, but usually lefties are the most sex driven people out there and care a lot about attractive people and characters. So yeah, just like black Ariel, this April isn't getting near the love or fanart of the original.
They had a black April O'Neil before this and she's pretty much forgotten.
>usually lefties are the most sex driven people out there
EVERYone is the most sex-driven people out there, and we'll be a lot healthier as a society if we stop pointing fingers at everyone else going "you care about sex more than me and MY friends!"
People replying to this tweet and justifying it saying, "Yeah, she's defined by her yellow" but unironically makes me think that somehow Cinemaphile is more fricking sane than the people who use Twitter.
It feels so unreal that it's okay to complain that Nani's actress is two shades too light, but black Ariel and black April are okay while insisting nobody brings up the fact that redheads are constantly being blackwashed.
>some of the details that make her iconic
Yes, redish hair and wearing yellow.
The "redheads are being blackwashed" thing doesn't matter to most because
Schizo posting about Irish vs israeli mafia is already being obtuse from that point you fricking moron. We used to have threads about how funny it was that even the early Hanna-Barbera people had a hard on for red heads. Conspiracies then assumed there was some in office red headed hotty all the nerds were competing for. Now they're just a flood of Irish representation instead of a collection of idealized characters fitting into a neat color pallet for a more interesting cast of characters while male protagonists have burning brown or black hair?
A color pallet is more than what's used for one character, it's used to create a visually pleasing cast when you see them together on screen at once. Instead of matching similar hair colors, you make it pop with brighter more vibrant cartoon and comic colors like red. Also when printing comics, rather than having three browns for three different characters' distinct shade of brown for their hair, they'll keep one or two of the browns for two of the characters and use a red. Also makes them stand out and is better general visual design.
>Yes, redish hair and wearing yellow.
But an "iconic look" is more than JUST light use of the colors. If you were to ask a random TMNT fan to picture April, they would imagine the jumpsuit, bobcut, white skin, her holding a video camera, and possibly the white boots (I realize many people don't remember the shoe-portion of a design unless it's very specific like Sonic's).
Making tweaks is more digestible to people. Change the short hair to a ponytail, or maybe the yellow shirt to a purple shirt. But when you change 90% of the menu and then claim it's the same menu, no duh people are going to go, "WHAT DETAILS DID YOU KEEP? WHAT THE FRICK?".
By some of the logic of people on Twitter who defend the redesign, pic related is all fricking April.
This, but don't go too crazy as deriving too much would make the new design pale in comparisson and be less emblematic, which is like what any design tries not to be... Right?
Is not just having those details, but not adding stuff that makes her look totally different, you know like >changing skin colour >changing her whole body type for the contrary >totally different hair >adding glasses >changing soft facial feature to more pronounced ones
As much as you can add too little you can also add too much
She was never Asian. There was a brief period where details were undecided, she was "the girl" and Eastman and Laird had different ideas about potential ethnicity. Then they did a reprint of the issue where she showed up, with a color cover showing her, and since the colorist went "white, bit brunette" that's what April ended up as.
At least she has a hat in the final movie, she still looks like literal shit, but she has a hat

I never understand that "make her more relatable" approach.
From what I have understanding, lots of female audience/readers want to be attractive character just like male readers/audiences.
That's why many fiction that market toward female have beautiful looking heroine.
Why do morden creators think ugly mean relatable ?
>Ugly is beautiful >Slavery is freedom >Weakness is bravery >Ignorance is wisdom >etc.
They worship the inverse of things then call it "good" because they are evil
>make her a teen to own the chuds >oh shit people are fapping to a teen >make her black >oh shit people are fapping still >make her a fricking dumpster fire, unrecognizable as a character, kill interest in the franchise >finally they stopped fapping
We did it, reddit.
I know it's a concept and all, but it STILL looks really unfinished as frick; like somebody was still trying to paint it and were doing final touch-ups before being stopped halfway through by something. I mean, I HOPE that's the explanation...
I didn't mind the design, but why is she april? All the other cahracters core traits stay the same but with a different artstyle, but she is completely different, i still don't get why people don't understand if you change a memorable design into something totally different, the fans will be mad, which is valid, as making such unnecesary changes showcases agendas, which is distracting and breaks the inmersion, April is not a forgotten character that you can do anything you want with and no one would care
There is such a wild difference between ugly and unappealing that I can't believe these artists have entire careers based off of a field they themselves don't fully understand.
>Literally make the most hideous unflattering disgusting caricature of a person you possibly can because your studio is forcing you to have "diverse" characters
Based?
>Could've potentially added to the TMNT lore >Could've called her "June" or something and she was just an OC character the turtles meet when they're teens and April is someone they meet when they get older >June might've actually stuck around in later versions the same way Bowser Jr. or Rosalina stuck around despite being late entries into Mario's history >Instead, they just blackwash another character that'll be forgotten about in 5 years and rebooted again
>April is black in 2 tmnt universes >Now forever impossible to ever have a discussion about this franchise again without wannabe culture war grifters taking it over
When did this board become so shit
You're ignoring how hideous she is NPC
>LOL >LMAO even
I'm filtering this out. Die in a car crash.
Cope and seethe. You lost. And there's nothing you can do about it.
>Indignant animation student responses
This must be good in comparison to your own work
At least use the final design, bozo.
Why? Classic artists made good work from the start, they didn't need to slightly polish turds.
1. Using one of the handful of generic insults a Public Schooled brain can think of, meant for defending people like you against certain criticisms like having awful culture 2. Various animation industry products would not have existed without me and my personal efforts also had a big impact on various other products and things. For instance, spider-verse is influenced by Homestuck and Homestuck was made by badly plagiarizing me. And so I guess there's about the worst most broken funhouse mirror imaginable there, yes.

"You dont like her cause shes black"
Do these people dont understand the concept of a good looking black person? I dont have a problem with a black april.....as long she doesnt like a melting goblin
They wanted to change it up a bit this movie and one of those changes is making the turtles less 18-19 year old ninjas and more 13-15 year old kids who happen to have ninja training.
Wait, wait wait wait. That fricking gargoyle version of April is supposed to be a fricking TEEN? Jesus Christ, I thought she was an adult. She looks like she's in her late 40s.
Yes, it actually helped make her more likeable for me that she was a teen. She has a nice young voice too.
The whole theme of the movie is that all of the main characters want to be accepted. All of the heroes and villains. But they take different paths toward that goal.
Wait, wait wait wait. That fricking gargoyle version of April is supposed to be a fricking TEEN? Jesus Christ, I thought she was an adult. She looks like she's in her late 40s.
Bullshit, back when studios had a spine they's just put a girl in glasses and stupid clothes and that would be enough. Absolutely no need to make them deformed monsters.
>I mean for this movie a key plot point is April is a ostracized/bullied teen.
Is being a bullied teen now one of the important, iconic details that define April O'Neil now?
Not being a lab assistant or a plucky reporter or a fricking ninja?
Or is the point now that ANYONE can wear the mask?
Quick, tell Kevin Smith to cast Lizzo as the new He-Man!
If you haven't noticed a lot strays from the expected tropes in this TMNT, Splinter is a actual rat shut-in who was on the edge of joining Superfly in human genocide. The TMNT are many years younger than their typical depiction which makes them crave acceptance more than older versions of the characters. So on the human end they have April also seek acceptance which helps her sympathize with literal mutated animals.
Us vs Them and overcoming that is rife in this movie's plot. Frankly I don't think this kind of plot would work with Stoic Splinter, older TMNTs and a adult reporter April. Usually Splinter was human or at least was the pet of a human before mutating. I don't see the 18 year old type Turtles longing for social acceptance. Finally a adult good looking April could still be an example of a trusting human but she wouldn't be able to know how being ostracized feels.
>Do these people dont understand the concept of a good looking black person?
They're ugly fat fricks >I dont have a problem with a black april.....as long she doesnt like a melting goblin

Which honestly she SHOULD be a Latina and White mix character, if they're not going to make her completely white anymore. Someone like her, in New York, is going to be Cuban and Irish or something like that.

Liberal despise beauty and sought to make her as ugly as possible, that's the only reason they made her black in the first place. There's simply no point in making an attractive black female, it doesn't serve their interests in destroying western beauty standards.
To this day I stand by my belief that Jessica from Rise of the TMNT would work as a black April design. Just change her job from announcer/referee to reporter and boom.
>Be on Twitter >See someone use one of those April fan-art designs as being better designs >Artist finds out, goes crazy and pulls a ratio

Would you wear your street clothes in the sewers?
That being said, cartoons generally gave only 1-outfit
It makes sense for April to wear a jumpsuit when she's at the turtle's place, but on the news, yea.
>America alters existing characters to be black because creating anything new is a cardinal sin of the profit gods I guess >They look awful >Japan makes new black characters like Leroy and Nagoriyuki for games/anime/manga >People love them
American media and the companies that facilitate it are such hot ass. It doesn't even have to be culture war bullshit either, major networks are currently gutting college football by exploiting the greed of big football universities.
Look at manga artists and how they draw women. kishi torajirou for example. And then at the grotesque caricatures you see in Western made shite. One clearly has a love and appreciation of the subject, the other despises it.
Manga is also a meritocracy. If your work is shit no one reads it and it stops getting published. Why should leftists bother putting in any effort when they're just gonna fail upwards anyway. They didn't get their position through merit and they're not gonna lose it from lack of merit.
I want to remind all of you that people who say they wouldn't mind April being black if she was attractive are huffing weapons grade copium. In today's political climate, where DIE is the name of th game, April being race swapped AND uglified goes hand in hand. Why do one when you can do both to prove you are twice as virtuous.
She's white in Nick All Stars Brawl and it's upcoming sequel plus Shredder's revenge, Nicktoons is also airing the 80s TMNT now and they uploaded the first season to Youtube on the official Nick TMNT channel
I've been rallying some dudes from discord to troll their twitter accounts. We're hoping to get the games either canceled or ruined by spamming angry messages about black april.
HOLY PENIS!

WITH CURLY HAIR?
Wow I guess it's a good thing that curly perms wasn't like in style at that time in history otherwise you'd look stupid as frick.
No clearly that woman with the skin complexion of milk must be black because curly hair.
What's so strange about the design is she's only fat from the neck down. It's like they didn't want to risk making her look ugly by giving her a "fat" face/head.
This is Frozen concept art. The styles of concept art and designs reflect a vibe or aesthetic someone might want. They are often simplified and stylized.
Because nobody here knows about how animation work and this place has become a dumping board for right wing e-celeb talking points. Post like [...] is literally proof.

Asking if I should just call them racist was an honest question because they're not telling me why they don't like it. The point of Rugrats was its was a show meant to poke and showcase how flawed people are, but still try to make the best in spite of it, and Klasky Csupo wanted to reflect that in the artstyle.
TMNT was a parody of capeshit, if shoud look like anything, it should look like a parody of Rob Liefeld or most other notable comic book artists of the time, combined with a graffti NY style.

It's not a parody of cape shit, it's "grounded" in that the turtles aren't great yet.

That's a good way of looking at it. The influence of capeshit is obviously there in the original comics, but TMNT media has all been a response to the cartoon show thats more GI Joe and Transformers than it is Spider-Man and Batman.

One, that's concept art and not the final designs of the characters and two, the Rugrats knows it's ugly and embraces it. Here, we're suppose to pretend this April O'Neil design looks good when it clearly isn't.
That character looks attractive. It's a simplified design, but it would look appealing even if it got used as the final design. The OP image is ugly as frick in every possible way, and wouldn't work in any cartoon short of Rapsittie Kids-level shit.
Is the israeli mafia unironically feuding with the Irish mafia? Redheads have been replaced by blacks for years and it has happened too many times to say it was coincidental at this point. Show business has a hardon for replacing Irish-Americans and it's fricking bullshit. How is this not discrimination? We also arrived in Ellis Island and were just as poor.
>Is the israeli mafia unironically feuding with the Irish mafia?
They did in NY about 100 years ago, and the Limmeric boycott about that time. People still seeth about that. But that's really LULZ' turf.
I don't mind a few of these when they atleast try to dress and try to look similar to the original design. But that applies to less actors here than fingers on my one hand.
Things that irked about this version of April beyond just the design (which compared to literally everyone else, is the least offensive, ironically)
1. Apparently she's supposed to be a teenager, which honest I thought she was supposed to be School staff, like a lunch lady or something. Her being voiced by an adult while the turtles are voiced by zoomers makes it all the more jarring. April being around the same age as the turtles was cute when 2012 did it, and tolerable when Rise did it, but now it's just getting annoying. The whole point of April is her being their guide and mentor to the outside human world, a window to something they never had, which is a little bit in here but muddied
2. She had very little chemistry with any of the turtles, their friendship is literally just a business partnership to find out who Superfly is. I never once believed they were all actually friends
3. Was "Puke Girl" really nessicary? Not did they not have to show her throwing up like a fricking water fountain, and keep showing it. Her being socially anxious barely had any impact on the story, she goes on camera, tell New York "Um not all mutants okay" and that's really it.
What I don't get is, I saw the movie and a huge part of the plot is dependent on Leonardo simping for her the moment he sees her
Would any single teenager take one look at this chick and go goo-goo eyes over her? He keeps calling her 'beautiful' but what exactly about her stands out as traditionally pretty? Are we supposed to just assume Leonardo is into chubby black gingers with glasses?
I can't imagine a single human being looking at this new April and wanting to white-knight for her and that's the only reason anything in the movie happens is Leo's hots for her

There are degrees. If they'd said this was April and gave her some yellow clothing I would've said "not my idea of an attractive woman, and making her a blonde is a bit daft, but I guess I can see how your style would turn April into this."
The thing in the OP image is in a different league of ghastly designs. There is no way in hell the artist wasn't wearing a smug "frick 'em" grin as he typed the words "keeping some of the designs that make her so iconic."
So this film is officially a propaganda film then, huh?

The only person who got called racist was getting mad about "israelite york". It looks like most are being called coomers and they aren't denying that.
It's weird that fascists post about demoralization and aesthetics as an attack on them and their values but never spoke up against the lazy and ugly South Park series.
There's already posts about people getting mad about ~~*them*~~ so when someone posts something that champions aesthetics as a measurement of goodness in souls, you see the pattern and its fun to discuss why Cinemaphile of all places and fans of South Park would ever champion classical aesthetics in such a way.
South park started out as stick figures to emphasize comedy on a shoestring budget. This is a multimillion dollar project made by very sad people who can't let go of their daddy issues.
People on Cinemaphile rip into teletoon and beanmouth calarts styles as cost savers as a sort of fall in Western aesthetics. It'd the same conversation, but South Park still gets spared.
>complaining about fascism when the left controls entertainment and uses it as a platform for politics, and also has a mob on Twitter ready to force companies into firing people with the wrong opinions
If that were the case, they wouldn't have gone with the prettier black April design and they wouldn't have made her skin lighter in China. But yeah, leftwing politics in the entertainment industry is a separate topic than trying to call liberals ugly on the inside for making more grounded and relatable art instead of leaning on classical idealism like a conservative.
>and they wouldn't have made her skin lighter in China
This homie thinks if you have some power, you have all the power >ugly on the inside for making more grounded and relatable art instead of leaning on classical idealism
Nta, but the problem i have is, why making her April? The desings are fine and they fit the world of the movie
That's not just leftist troony, that's also anyone concerned with "globohomo". The "realism as degenerate" meme has been part of the rightwing Cinemaphile narrative too. Noticing that and addressing it isn't any endorsement of it.

You are a fricking moron if you think liking attractive characters has anything to do with conservatism. >more grounded and relatable art
Fat and ugly people aren't common where I live
How is it that a movie from 2007 by a small animation studio that folded once their 2009 Astro Boy flopped and was made back when Mirage owned the IP managed to look actually gorgeous and more atmospheric than the million dollar MM?
And despite not being as great as the 1990 movie, was a MUCH better movie?
I think she'll look just like one of the girls from Turning Red with that stupid "Japanese purple streak" hair you see in stuff like Titan AE, Big Hero 6, and Deadpool 2.
One of the weirdest aspect in this discussion of the design quality is the concept of demoralization because people will outright tell you an ugly female character demoralizes them and has such a profound impact on their psyche but will also turn around and believe that representation doesn't matter. How can both be true when admitting to demoralization hints at something even more trivial than representation having a greater impact?
Sure dude, i am a hot redhead and i am mad that i was representated like this... Representation has nothing to do with this, it's the unnecesary ways people forcefully introduce their beliefes into a character, it's like changing the colors of the turtles bands because you hated their colors, even when they are one of the most representative parts of their desings, liking or disliking a character because of their designs is in most cases superficial, however is dumb to ignore the reasons of why said changes
>Representation has nothing to do with this, it's the unnecesary ways people forcefully introduce their beliefes into a character, it's like changing the colors of the turtles bands because you hated their colors,
This isn't anti-white hatred. If you're of the mind that they did this for woke representation points, then it's just like a parent making up for lost time with a long lost son. The attention that son gets isn't out of hatred of the others siblings. Also there's no beliefs being forced here.
A black April existing isn't a belief being forced, theres already been a black April. 007 was Scottish for a bit, the Joker was Hispanic. These aren't beliefs being forced.
If you ignore that there is an agenda in this time and age when it comes to race and representation, then you are just dishonest, do you really think they changed them cause they dreamed about it or something? Lmao

Stop being obtuse, you know what he was talking about
Schizo posting about Irish vs israeli mafia is already being obtuse from that point you fricking moron. We used to have threads about how funny it was that even the early Hanna-Barbera people had a hard on for red heads. Conspiracies then assumed there was some in office red headed hotty all the nerds were competing for. Now they're just a flood of Irish representation instead of a collection of idealized characters fitting into a neat color pallet for a more interesting cast of characters while male protagonists have burning brown or black hair?
>burning brown or black hair
I meant boring brown or black hair.
>neat color pallet
The frick are you talking about? All the characters on the image have the same color palette

I am not pointing out the angenda, i am saying there is one, as changing so much the memorable design of a character is counter intuitive, which as a result, it makes the new design distracting, and also, why would they change it? I am asking you as i am curious, are you telling me it wasn't for representation?
Could be representation, could be fun with be fun with her black design, could be that her skin color complements the turtles' green. Or maybe they did it for marketing and attention.
>Or maybe they did it for marketing and attention.

He's not blaming ESG, he's blaming shareholder politics:
>Frericks' comments added to the barrage of criticism he's leveled at the beer brand since April. Frericks wrote an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal, opining the brand was focused on "stakeholder capitalism," which he wrote "prioritizes broad social issues over shareholder value." He's made appearances on Fox News, and he recently wrote a column for the Daily Mail, in which he called for Whitworth to step down.
He's saying the upperclass that is comfortable with sending a can of beer to a troony with their face on it (that was it, his face wasn't on all the cans) so he can do instagram post about it is out of step with the politics of the consumer base. Very true. ESG only got mentioned twice, once at the start and then at the end, just to mention he is ESG critical.
Beauty is uplifitng. Listening to a classical orchestra, or even just a good harmonica solo is pleasant to the senses in a way that free form jazz is not. Beauty encourages people strive to put more beauty in the world. People learned to draw because Mickey Mouse looked cute or Batman looked cool.
Ugliness begets more ugliness. You're telling everyone they don't need to have standards for themselves or aspire to be better or make things better.
If you had all the money and resources at your disposal to make something the entire world would see, why would you choose to make something unsightly and dissonant unless you had malicious intention?
It's just so... average. It's clear she has breasts and even some ass (bringing this up as someone not into the latter), but they're all so equally sized with one another it just comes off as well, boring. Like a "female Bobby Hill" sort of configuration, if you know what I mean.
One stiff breeze and she's on the floor unable to get up. Why is this thing in an important role in an action cartoon? I wouldn't trust her to do deskwork without getting winded.
>ESG schizoshit is being posted
And I thought this thread was already bad enough. Like look, I don’t give a shit if people think the design is unappealing, or that it’s dogshit. But as soon as we get to a point that we’re assuming it’s being done to appease ((the woke)) group that funds companies, that simply means that you’re moronic.
You can simply just hate a design. You don’t need to make it into a culture war.
Do you guys think the reason they always replace redheads with nigs is because redheads are too small a group to care about backlash from?
There are blonde-blue eyes people who care about that aspect of themselves but I haven't been seeing any redhead-nationalism as of late. Or ever.
It's because most people understand that red headed cartoon characters are a product of design and color pallet balancing than representation of real natural redheads.
Lefties reuse tropes in order to avoid backlash.

>The reimaginings, as Mr. Bailey refers to his remakes, find ways to make Disney stories less retrograde. His heroines are empowered, and his casting emphasizes diversity. A live-action “Snow White,” set for release next year, stars the Latina actress Rachel Zegler as the princess known as “the fairest of them all.” Yara Shahidi played Tinker Bell in the recent “Peter Pan and Wendy,” making her the first Black woman to portray the character onscreen. >“We want to reflect the world as it exists,” Mr. Bailey said. >But that worldview — and business strategy — has increasingly put Disney and Mr. Bailey, a low-profile and self-effacing executive, in the middle of a very loud, very unpolite cultural fight. For every person who applauds Disney, there seems to be a counterpart who complains about being force-fed “wokeness.” >https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/04/business/media/disney-sean-bailey-live-action.html

Most blacks are ugly so its pretty accurate.
By relatable they mean self-insertable right?
'Attractive = Unrealistic' is and was only ever pushed by lazy jealous landwhales, always
They're not saying attractive = unrealistic, they're talking about "relatable and grounded".
Explain how the new design achieves that better than the old one

No major news outlet uses these unfortunate looking females in their coverage. Not even in California.
>X troons be like: omg she's so hecking cute like fr! :cryingemoji:
CHECK IT OUT, GUYS! IT'S APRIL IN HER ICONIC LOOK.
The "redheads are being blackwashed" thing doesn't matter to most because
>the lefty is still trying to gaslight
How is that gaslighting?
Wow yeah... That's still not april, are you pretending to be stupid?
Not those anons, but
>Keeping the details that made her so iconic
>such as?
This, but don't go too crazy as deriving too much would make the new design pale in comparisson and be less emblematic, which is like what any design tries not to be... Right?
the details that made her so iconic
>the color yellow
>having a vegana
>being human
>having hair on the top of her head
>having all her teeth
>owning a camera
>having all her teeth
you think?
Is not just having those details, but not adding stuff that makes her look totally different, you know like
>changing skin colour
>changing her whole body type for the contrary
>totally different hair
>adding glasses
>changing soft facial feature to more pronounced ones
As much as you can add too little you can also add too much
>relatable and grounded
The one person who should be grounded is the artist, until they know how to draw.
If they wanted April to be a minority, why not make her asian like she was originally?
And, with an artstyle that is not that goddamn ugly
Asian people are equal to white people on the progressive scale in all instances except those where it would benefit other progressives.
An example of this was affirmative action requiring asians to get better notes than whites which in turn required better notes than blacks
I never understand that "make her more relatable" approach.
From what I have understanding, lots of female audience/readers want to be attractive character just like male readers/audiences.
That's why many fiction that market toward female have beautiful looking heroine.
Why do morden creators think ugly mean relatable ?
Majority of Americans in the US are overweight.
I can make a few guesses what their intent is with this, but they'd be just guesses.
A rare case where the concept art is far worse than the finished product. Good Lord look at how worse it could have been

I thought the concept art had her holding a gun
Needs to be naked and covered in cake in the middle of a grocery store. Like that one webm.

Cope and seethe. You lost. And there's nothing you can do about it.
You will never be a woman, and Trump will win 2024.
It'll be yuge
I've seen dozens of April Oneil threads but you're the only glow N*
>LOL
>LMAO even
I'm filtering this out. Die in a car crash.
At least use the final design, bozo.
>3 threads on this shit
Pick one and stay in one you autists, stop shitting up the board
nah
It's one guy spamming the same shir over and over for outrage.
right unironically looks better and more unique
(You) lost. (They) won.
>they/them
the game
"You dont like her cause shes black"
Do these people dont understand the concept of a good looking black person? I dont have a problem with a black april.....as long she doesnt like a melting goblin
God imagine a sexy busty as frick black and beautiful April, DAYUM
They view blacks as subhuman
she looks Brazilian and i ain't complaining
I mean for this movie a key plot point is April is a ostracized/bullied teen. Doesn't really fit if she's some 15 year old supermodel.
Then the question becomes why is April a bullied teen to begin with? Why are the turtles doing this high school shit instead of ninja shit?
They wanted to change it up a bit this movie and one of those changes is making the turtles less 18-19 year old ninjas and more 13-15 year old kids who happen to have ninja training.
Yes, it actually helped make her more likeable for me that she was a teen. She has a nice young voice too.
That is a damn 45-50 year old black woman. That is NOT a teen. I'm black, I know how we look.
It's New York, anon. Even 80s NY is like a headcanon of how it was back then, now it's as one to one as it gets
If you don't like that basically reboot TMNT to not even be American.
First question: Vomit inducing anxiety
Second: They don't. The movie ends with them getting to go to school
Same talking point recycled. Snore! Zzzzz...
You talk like a homosexual from twitter.
Just make your own IP. This isn't even TMNT anymore.
TMNT has always had shit like that though
>Do these people dont understand the concept of a good looking black person?
They're ugly fat fricks
>I dont have a problem with a black april.....as long she doesnt like a melting goblin
Same here I love pussy regardless of color skin.
I like this one but she's gonna be called Latinx instead of black if they go with this design.
Liberals focus on social issues because they love the status quo on fiscal issues.
Yeah, she could have been cute.
I love this design. Nobody wants POTATO except completists.
To this day I stand by my belief that Jessica from Rise of the TMNT would work as a black April design. Just change her job from announcer/referee to reporter and boom.
>Black April is a massive weeb and starts dressing like the villain from her favorite anime
Cute as frick
>Be on Twitter
>See someone use one of those April fan-art designs as being better designs
>Artist finds out, goes crazy and pulls a ratio
I wonder, what would happen if such people saw this thread?
I really want to see hispanics actually prove their racism by animating themselves and making better products. I love seeing them seethe this hard but can't to jack shit to stop it. I'm glad I stop carying about mainstream animation long ago, because being this mindcrippled like this is more fun to watch from the outside than inside.
Also why april HAS to be a teen now? The 2012 started a stupid domino effect that lead to this. Do girls even self insert as april?
>make her a teen to own the chuds
>oh shit people are fapping to a teen
>make her black
>oh shit people are fapping still
>make her a fricking dumpster fire, unrecognizable as a character, kill interest in the franchise
>finally they stopped fapping
We did it, reddit.
Won't stop me from drawing her fat ass.
How fat we talking?
"your mom's so fat_____" levels of fat
You're talking a lot of shit but I don't see Mutant Mayhem April's tremendous fat black asscheeks anywhere in this thread.
We need PICTURES, PORKER.
On my desk by morning, OR ELSE!
Was there ever an explanation why April wore a bright yellow jumpsuit every day? She was a news reporter.
Would you wear your street clothes in the sewers?
That being said, cartoons generally gave only 1-outfit
It makes sense for April to wear a jumpsuit when she's at the turtle's place, but on the news, yea.
>America alters existing characters to be black because creating anything new is a cardinal sin of the profit gods I guess
>They look awful
>Japan makes new black characters like Leroy and Nagoriyuki for games/anime/manga
>People love them
American media and the companies that facilitate it are such hot ass. It doesn't even have to be culture war bullshit either, major networks are currently gutting college football by exploiting the greed of big football universities.
Hollywood like turning the redhair into black , Hollywood is killing redhair character .
Everything leftists do is projection. The way they draw women and minorities is how they see them in reality when they're not virtue signalling.
Look at manga artists and how they draw women. kishi torajirou for example. And then at the grotesque caricatures you see in Western made shite. One clearly has a love and appreciation of the subject, the other despises it.
That's nice, though I prefer Iwao Takamoto b***hes.
Manga is also a meritocracy. If your work is shit no one reads it and it stops getting published. Why should leftists bother putting in any effort when they're just gonna fail upwards anyway. They didn't get their position through merit and they're not gonna lose it from lack of merit.
I hate Seth Rogen so much
Uhh are you israeli?
Test
I want to remind all of you that people who say they wouldn't mind April being black if she was attractive are huffing weapons grade copium. In today's political climate, where DIE is the name of th game, April being race swapped AND uglified goes hand in hand. Why do one when you can do both to prove you are twice as virtuous.
>the new norm
She's white in Nick All Stars Brawl and it's upcoming sequel plus Shredder's revenge, Nicktoons is also airing the 80s TMNT now and they uploaded the first season to Youtube on the official Nick TMNT channel
Cute butt
Oh thanks for reminding.
I've been rallying some dudes from discord to troll their twitter accounts. We're hoping to get the games either canceled or ruined by spamming angry messages about black april.
You won't do shit, lazy bait
I mean, if you have to false flag to push your agenda then you’re basically admitting that your position is weak.
I don't really care about politics. I'm not american.
I just want to see the franchise dead.
Only americans are moronic enough to kill a decades long franchise for some trannies feelings.
Thats 80’s April. I need people to comprehend that Turtles is a multiverse and 80’s April still exists in 80’s universe.
Bas
>If you don't like it don't watch it
>so they didn't
>its being boycotted by racists!
>always has been
they're still pushing this narrative
https://twitter.com/isaiahbeenlost/status/1688255463853273088
didn't the original artist say that the inspiration is more from the fashion models of the 80s and their hairdos rather than a specific ethnicity?
She was given a perm since it was a popular hairstyle at the time.
Behold: a black woman.
Yeah, perms and massive hair in general was one of The Looks in the 80s through early 90s.
I am not mad at Twitter morons- what's the point? They are mentally handicapped. They can't think straight, they can't read, can't use Google
>brit profile pic
>This woman BEEN black
If she's black then I must be overcooked
The April from the first live action movie had curly hair, guess that makes her black according to Twitter
Go look at some yearbook from the 80s. Literally all the girls during that time had that hairstyle.
>fair-skin
>curly hair
Sorry, but that's not a black character. She looks more Italian or israeli to me.
>WE WUZ APRIL O NEIL
Blacks are mentally moronic
HOLY PENIS!
A WOMAN?
IN THE 80s?
WITH CURLY HAIR?
Wow I guess it's a good thing that curly perms wasn't like in style at that time in history otherwise you'd look stupid as frick.
No clearly that woman with the skin complexion of milk must be black because curly hair.
All of this time I never knew Weird Al was black
ma'homie Al
>there's no normal you bigot
to
>it's the new normal you bigot
maybe I just hate fat woman
Fatties are disgusting to be sure
Now give her massive breasts... please
nta
What's so strange about the design is she's only fat from the neck down. It's like they didn't want to risk making her look ugly by giving her a "fat" face/head.
you forgot to not make her a Black person and ugly
>the hair
We have to go back...
Man I remember watching this show as a kid, forgot about this chick.
My God
There's no fricking difference. How are people okay with this?
Can it breath?
So they hired an elementary school kid to redesign April?
This is Frozen concept art. The styles of concept art and designs reflect a vibe or aesthetic someone might want. They are often simplified and stylized.
It's weird we're at the point that this needs to be explained on Cinemaphile.
Because nobody here knows about how animation work and this place has become a dumping board for right wing e-celeb talking points. Post like
is literally proof.
Due April ain't supposed to be black. It's fricking ugly
>They are often simplified and stylized.
this is true, but I've seen enough game concept arts to tell you that that person barely knows how to draw
I've seen enough Cinemaphile posts to know you're a fricking moron who doesn't take 2 seconds to look something up before posting.
God I hate israeliteYork
What's wrong with the designs?
Are you blind or just moronic?
They're stylishly consistent and have a grimey sense of realism as well as visually looking "new yorker" while being fun to look at. What's wrong with that?
Why are you humiliating yourself? It's a fetish?
Am I moronic for not just calling you racist and leaving it at that? Why don't you like the other designs? Keep in mind this started by saying the guy can't draw.
Obvious animation industry person. I'm going to break down the tells
>Am I moronic for not just calling you racist and leaving it at that?
Accusations of bigotry are used to socially police and gatekeep so honest people don't get to work in the field. Meanwhile you're here saying slurs, referencing stopping taking advantage of this privilege of Cinemaphile.
>Why don't you like the other designs?
Medicalizing your enjoyment, sense of aesthetics and beauty as if you should be molded to Los Angeles creativity instead of be as God made you. This comes from them going into animation to force themselves upon children through their crude artwork.
>Keep in mind this started by saying the guy can't draw.
Acting as if the ultimate sin is making the hacks they seek nepotistic connections to feel bad, which they used to justify when I was a minor bombarding me with sexual references and other abuse
Asking if I should just call them racist was an honest question because they're not telling me why they don't like it. I wasn't calling them racist, I was saying that opening with "I hate israelite York" when looking at a diverse cast of New Yorkers and not saying saying why you don't like that and getting defensive when asked why you don't like it seems like it should be "obvious" that they just don't like non-whites.
>guy
>Medicalizing your enjoyment, sense of aesthetics and beauty as if you should be molded to Los Angeles creativity instead of be as God made you.
God made me like asses even though shit comes from there. Frick off, moron.
>why they don't like it.
they are ugly, and not in a funny way ugly, to each their own I guess I don't like to watch ugly things
You are moronic for thinking that pretending to be blind is going to make others stop feeling disgust at the ugliness
90s Nicktoon designs were more disgusting. The problem here just may be that you're coomers.
90s Nicktoons were made in response to the 80s overly strict stance to staying on model. These aren't at all comparable.
>to the 80s overly strict stance to staying on model.
But even some 80's stuff could go off-model (the 'expressive' kind) if needed.
Depends on the show. But again, it's not comparable, they were made with different intentions, to say nothing about how they different genres entirely.
>before was shit
>it's ok if now it's just crap
sorry homosexual, next you will say that giving cleavage to drawings is sexualization so it's ok if we make everything puke inducing because if your penis twitch a bit seeing a good looking character it's a sin. Is this strategy the successor of Kellog's cutting the foreskins method? What is next agender blobs of nothing?
>What is next agender blobs of nothing?
Is it really "agender" if the girls have still certain sex-specific cartoon traits like eyelashes or a wider midsection?
>going off on a tangent about sexualization
You are so fricking stupid. I'm fine with sexualization, we're talking about the designs here where everything is edgier looking.
Most of those cartoons were junk and Ren and Stimpy was a revolutionary cartoon with a lot of drawing appeal, don't make comparisons to an amorphous blob
If you come up with questions like this you should no longer be tolerated
>while being fun to look at.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
How old are you? Rugrats was widely successful and the designs were much less appealing than the ones here.
You're right, it's not a parody. It's just capeshit with an ugly artstyle. This isn't the gotcha you think it is
I think it's just confusion regarding "capeshit" as I never used that to refer to Biker Mice from Mars, Street Sharks, or any of the other TMNT wannabes.
Because all those were made because of TMNT, and didn't understand what TMNT was. Even the 80s show knew how to poke fun at hero teams, and worked within those boundries, they weren't "lol wacky animals fight crime*, which frankly had been thing for decades earlier with shit like Hanna Barbara and Jay Ward
That's a good way of looking at it. The influence of capeshit is obviously there in the original comics, but TMNT media has all been a response to the cartoon show thats more GI Joe and Transformers than it is Spider-Man and Batman.
>TFW looking more forward to the Ryan Reynolds-produced BMFM show then anything related to this abomination
Wouldn't be surprised if the show still keeps Charley's "girl-next-door" design especially given how there's already an obvious black guy in the main group (Modo).
That boy ain't right.
Babies are ugly.
One, that's concept art and not the final designs of the characters and two, the Rugrats knows it's ugly and embraces it. Here, we're suppose to pretend this April O'Neil design looks good when it clearly isn't.
She's a Black person b***h
That character looks attractive. It's a simplified design, but it would look appealing even if it got used as the final design. The OP image is ugly as frick in every possible way, and wouldn't work in any cartoon short of Rapsittie Kids-level shit.
I have never OOFed harder in my life.
Jesus Goddamn Tapdancing Christ.
Is the israeli mafia unironically feuding with the Irish mafia? Redheads have been replaced by blacks for years and it has happened too many times to say it was coincidental at this point. Show business has a hardon for replacing Irish-Americans and it's fricking bullshit. How is this not discrimination? We also arrived in Ellis Island and were just as poor.
israeli people have beef with everyone, what's there to be surprised about, anon?
>Is the israeli mafia unironically feuding with the Irish mafia?
They did in NY about 100 years ago, and the Limmeric boycott about that time. People still seeth about that. But that's really LULZ' turf.
You're unironically moronic. April O'Neil becoming Shaquille O'Neal is the closest you can get to an "Irish" character being black in other media.
>asks question
>"what's there to be surprised about?"
What type of answer is this?
S O U L
>neat color pallet
The frick are you talking about? All the characters on the image have the same color palette
I don't mind a few of these when they atleast try to dress and try to look similar to the original design. But that applies to less actors here than fingers on my one hand.
The Josie and the Pussycats one still blows my mind because the trio already had a black girl in it.
Oh my God
2003 was the best version anyway
Did AI make this or /misc/ ?
see
I never even liked tmnt, and even I'm mad at this change.
Her character had no impact
Wow, they made sure to animate in detail her vomiting
They were so proud of it they had to show it again and again
Didn't even Keep the same yellow color in her suit
>noo she's not white anymore
Sorry chuds, trump lost the reddit generation will destroy your hate filled cartoons
>There are people complimenting April's design
>There are people complimenting Rocksteady's design
What planet did these people come from? Do they even art?!
I can't imagine a single human being looking at this new April and wanting to white-knight for her and that's the only reason anything in the movie happens is Leo's hots for her
She's so fat he thinks she's a turtle.
This is what your country looks like now.
I hate whatever artstyle that is
Its not only ugly, but is pathetic too
How is it pathetic?
Are you the artist from this shit show? You keep asking moronic question and defending this diarrhea artstyle
>asking for elaboration is defending
You're moronic.
Its not that bad its just April looks like shit. These guys just look like goofy characters.
The mutant designs follow an ugly 90s style and the humans are drawn to be less pretty too so the style is cohesive.
What the actual frick you idiots mad about with this art style?
I would LOVE a 2D animated film that looked like this. Everything about Mutant TMNT as a CGI product looks gross and blurred out.
Everyone looks like a depressed hobo with anemia
Yeah, that's the world at LARGE buddy.
Ugliness should not be depicted unless it is a harsh condemnation of it. That isn't what is going on here. They want to make this seem normal. To make people think that these grotesque "people" are normal and good.
It won't matter though. Soon AI will take over and ~~*they*~~ will no longer have a monopoly over entertainment and people will be able to create anything they want instead of being force feed slop
>claims to champion beauty
>posts niche fetish bullshit
lmao
>niche fetish bullshit
Real humans are hardcoded to enjoy big breasts and birthing hips. Any male with a non mutilated penis would agree that this beautiful.
You are a slave to your impulses and the algorithmically generated pornography you peddle is on par with the garbage this thread is about.
It is though, she has weird balloons and hips all packed in spandex. You thinking that's normal is just cooler brainrot. You might as well show me weight gain porn and tell me it taps into the primary survival animals brains of all humans and it needs to make you horny or you're a vaxxed NPC troony.
>he's actually pretending that big boobs are a niche fetish
Do you have a humiliation fetish?
Mega milkers packed in latex are a niche fetish.
Not really
>AI
I think theyll censor ai from making beautiful things, just like they always censor ai when it becomes aware of race lol
Also i agree with everything u said, well put
She has no thumbs, idiot.
Seeth troony
You have no idea.
they're new yorkers
Oh no bros I need these designs to be kawaii ugu or I'm going to get demoralized to death aaaawwww what the frick do I have to live for if I don't want to frick these cartoon?
This but unironically
Can you please explain demoralization to me and does it work both ways? As in were blacks and lesbians and black lesbians demoralized when they were depicted less in the 80s?
No, go hug your parents
>kawaii ugu
ok, i'll bite, what's kawaii ugu to you? Is it this?
yes.
Yeah me too
See I hate April’s design, but I love these designs
Someone mentioned this on Twitter but they look like GTA 3 pedestrians
Looks like the average EU crowd. Whats the problem?
I'm tweaking the blonde, lemme know what you guys think.
Looks less ugly for sure
Before she looked like a troony
>Looks less ugly for sure
Thank you.
I'm trying to not let my art style influence the original drawing art style and it's quite hard.
>Before she looked like a troony
lmao
They were looking for that uglier New Yorker style though.
>They were looking for that uglier New Yorker style though.
That makes sense.
Forgot to color the watch and pendant, and why not mess around with light and shadow filters.
I'm just glad anime exists
Looks like someone from a 2000s MTV cartoon
>blonde
*jew
Humans are fricking ugly. Everywhere.
Nope. Only blacks and browns
Honestly, ALL the design of characters in this movie is fricking gross anon
There are degrees. If they'd said this was April and gave her some yellow clothing I would've said "not my idea of an attractive woman, and making her a blonde is a bit daft, but I guess I can see how your style would turn April into this."
The thing in the OP image is in a different league of ghastly designs. There is no way in hell the artist wasn't wearing a smug "frick 'em" grin as he typed the words "keeping some of the designs that make her so iconic."
Only thing this movie has going for it is Jackie Chan as Splinter.
So this film is officially a propaganda film then, huh?
Chan doesn't do films anymore without the approval of the government.
>totally making that up, but I wouldn't doubt it.
Why did you post any of that? Just to talk about your opinion matter of factly like it was already confirmed for a moment? I appreciate your honest at the end.
It's called a brain worm. Now you can't watch it with good conscious without questioning the intent of ANOTHER TMNT made by Seth Rogan in this time period.
Did he HAVE to make a shittier version of TMNT in this day and age if he wasn't getting some sort of investment money thrown at him for it?
I'm not gonna see the movie so I'll never know, but it looks like garbage.
You're asking questions that already come from conclusions that you've drawn. You're revealing your moronic thought process of coming to a conclusion and working your way backwards from their to find anything that may confirm it.
The word you wanted to call my post was "rhetorical", moron.
Rhetorical is like "how many churches have to close before you admit there's a crisis of faith?" Where you aren't looking for a number, you're saying there's a crisis of faith.
Jackie Chan needing some government's approval before acting is a specific accusation that should come from specific information. If it's rhetorical, it's poorly used if not just blatantly dishonest and misleading.
I'm not reading any of that! You use too many words!
Go fap to your piss stained ugly looking movie already.
Huh... Seems I was fricking RIGHT wasn't I?
Right about what?
China propaganda film.
How does a whiter April prove that?
Youre moronenanfdaf
What's the propaganda message? "Buy our products, they aren't that black"? What's Jackie Chan have to do with it?
Look man, all you need to understand is
Literally Irma
A literal turnd in a sweater
>people don't like change
>"I know! Let's call them prejudice! That worked for little mermaid and Ghostbusters!"
Why do they keep doing it
The only person who got called racist was getting mad about "israelite york". It looks like most are being called coomers and they aren't denying that.
People try to kake things ugly when their soul is ugly.
Is that why Cinemaphile people keep posting ugly frog and wojak memes?
Nah, thats why you
I post Pepe because hes CUTE
>fat body
>disfigured head
>buldging eyes
>weird mouth
>gross little crudly drawn hands
You have been demoralized.
Youre damn right Im demoralized.
It's weird that fascists post about demoralization and aesthetics as an attack on them and their values but never spoke up against the lazy and ugly South Park series.
>fascists
I already knew there were homosexual shills defending this pathetic degenerate art and this ugly animation
But its good to have confirmation
This homie thinks if you have some power, you have all the power
>ugly on the inside for making more grounded and relatable art instead of leaning on classical idealism
Nta, but the problem i have is, why making her April? The desings are fine and they fit the world of the movie
>more grounded and relatable art instead of leaning on classical idealism like a conservative.
Youre actually a leftist troony holy shit lol
That's not just leftist troony, that's also anyone concerned with "globohomo". The "realism as degenerate" meme has been part of the rightwing Cinemaphile narrative too. Noticing that and addressing it isn't any endorsement of it.
>realism
These designs are cartoony, which is fine, but don't be pretentious
Lol, lmao even
Degenerate gay trying to make the world as ugly as him
You are trying to equate realism to ugliness when most real women don't look like picrel
I don't get the hatred of MK1, They made every woman enclose hijab previously, looks pretty comfy compared to MK11
You make things ugly because your mind is an ugly place. The fact that you're so defensive about it means you know they have a point and you recognize there's something wrong with you.
Ape Will'O'Steal
April McRib is my favorite name for this new character.
What do you think Karai is going to look like on the show or sequel?
She wasnt exactly a looker in the old series, so i gues, at best, theyll make her look the same
I think she'll look just like one of the girls from Turning Red with that stupid "Japanese purple streak" hair you see in stuff like Titan AE, Big Hero 6, and Deadpool 2.
Ugly people dont deserve to live
I don't like looking at ugly people because it's disgusting. Do you like looking at shit?
I bet looking in a mirror makes you puke your guts out.
>you are ugly so you have to agree with me
So you are saying that ugly people like ugliness, which proves my point
What the frick are you say-
>Also there's no beliefs being forced here
Ah, just a troony talking shit
A black April existing isn't a belief being forced, theres already been a black April. 007 was Scottish for a bit, the Joker was Hispanic. These aren't beliefs being forced.
If you ignore that there is an agenda in this time and age when it comes to race and representation, then you are just dishonest, do you really think they changed them cause they dreamed about it or something? Lmao
Maybe, they're liberals and they like liberal things and this movie has been very loose with okaying designs. Artist were say they were told to do concepts and then they found their concepts being used with little change.
homie, be real with me for a minute, and these aren't all of them
Is obvious this gay is just a leftist going in circles with whatabouisms
A npc that does as the status quo says
lmao
Damn, this thread repeats itself, by homies, i am getting out the loop
Like i said, youre just a troony talking shit
Oh? which Black April ya talking about here? The miscolored panel one or Rise one? Because either makes you look dumb.
If I'm trying to reconnect with my neglected kid, I don't go back and tell my older kids they're hideous blobs and alter their photos to make them look like ogres.
Which isn't good either
If I look at the tweets of the people working on it I'm going to find them virtue signaling about representation?
I haven't. I found them surprised that their ugly concepts were used without much editing or clean up. The ugly, unrefined aesthetic was organic.
>the dozens of characters being blackwashed aren't belief being forced
Companies literally get incentives to do that by the investment firm the president supported and the Oscars added race requirements
There's been no proof of what ESG means other than a possible disqualifier if you discriminate. It should be an easy case to make and you'd hear conservative businesses screaming about it or just any business complaining and stating what it's done, but instead it's all just culture war fodder without substance. Unless I'm mistaken, please post examples of businesses hurt by ESG.
>There's been no proof of what ESG
>There's been no proof of what ESG means other than a possible disqualifier if you discriminate
Youre the biggest Black person to ever nig
Yes, if you discriminate. The myth of a tyrannical ESG board waiting for you to make April O'Neil black so they can fund your movie is the funniest shit and there are no reports of any business being controlled by banks like this. If you say "we're an Irish only business" they get to say "we don't feel comfortable funding you".
>the guy defending the blackwashing of characters and negating any type of agenda going on in Hollywood happens to be an expert on ESG
Anyone who ever sees ESG mentioned should be asking what impacts ESG has had, who has suffered consequences. Any business restriction gets a reaction from business and their politicians and they try to give examples of who has been hurt. You should want to know more.
You have the interview of a former Anheuser-Busch executive saying that companies are being controlled by ESG
https://www.businessinsider.com/anheuser-busch-former-director-anson-frericks-fierce-critic-bud-light-2023-7
That's not what it says. Why are you lying?
OP's picture literally says what it is moron
Potato April
Fren shaped
It's just so... average. It's clear she has breasts and even some ass (bringing this up as someone not into the latter), but they're all so equally sized with one another it just comes off as well, boring. Like a "female Bobby Hill" sort of configuration, if you know what I mean.
the problem is this isn't even "average" though. This is well below average
I tried to do something, but still there is some room for improvement
A good start, but with a tad more chest and gut would make it even better. The face could use some puffiness as well.
Weighted
this looks like the average person i see at my walmart when i go into town
One stiff breeze and she's on the floor unable to get up. Why is this thing in an important role in an action cartoon? I wouldn't trust her to do deskwork without getting winded.
Now we're getting somewhere.
>The "somewhere" is an all-you-can-eat at a garbage dump
Can I get this in a bigger resolution? For research purposes
And on that note, she could be bigger..
Or ever.
Anon, do you know what you can spell when you rearrange the word "ginger"?
It's because most people understand that red headed cartoon characters are a product of design and color pallet balancing than representation of real natural redheads.
>only my representation matters
I'm white and redheaded.
What am I ignoring? What's racist?
Dishonest b***h, oh wait, it's just a coincidence right?
What's their race? Are they all canonically Irish or are they cartoon and comic characters colored in to be appealing with fun colors to make things visually more appealing?
>see this character with redhead? Not a redhead
What is this, anime?
Redhead isn't a race.
Ok ok, they are not racist, they are just mean to a group of people that happen to share the same characteristics, better?
Not black, that's for sure
>you can't be racist against whited
Disgusting liberal hypocrite
There are a lot of cartoon redheads because of things like designs and pallets. They aren't representing a race and only 3 on that list have freckles so yes its like anime
homie, how are you saying with full confidence the case of this characters is because of palets? What is your logic? Hell i can say that for a lot of other ethnic groups
At the top of my head I remember the executive of TLM said they changed her race because of representation
Source?
For every person who applauds Disney, there seems to be a counterpart who complains about being force-fed “wokeness.”
Then there was never redhead representation at all by your logic kek
Lefties reuse tropes in order to avoid backlash.
>just ignore the comments of the artists telling you their agenda and all the people complaining about these racist remakes
So this is the new outrage bait? I thought Cinemaphile was better than Cinemaphile.
Well at least it's not CalArts, amirite? You might have an April O'Neil that looks like Connie or Garnet from Steven Universe, and that would be WAY worse, surely!
What? It's just April O'Ne- OH MY GOODNESS!!!
>Meanwhile, weebland gets badass shadow ninja
Are you guys sure America worships blacks?
over the past two years I have grown increasingly disinterested in any form of popular culture to the point where I haven't seen any new films, watched any cartoons, read any comics, played any videos games, or read any books from the past 10 years
glad to see I made the right choice
now I just need to kick Youtube and Cinemaphile and I'm free
I hear there is an action figure for the Chinese market revealed, and she is portrayed as white with brown hair...still built like a human trash panda, though.
Whenever I scroll past this thread, the one on the right looks like she's pointing a gun at me.
I'm gonna blame Shaq for letting them think they can get away with slapping an Irish name on a black person
I'm going to remind you of the Murphys and call you a fricking moron.
At least make April hot if you're going to raceswap her.
Did women in the 80s really wear yellow jumpsuits?
We ain't never gonna make it
>twitter will never die
Pretty much.
