Because it sucked.
It sucked for years and most people just stopped reading it once most of us got over the "Deadpool is so funny" craze that this comic was riding on.
LFG was a lazy meandering mess with no plot or character arcs.
Holy FUCK I forgot this existed. I remember reading it like a decade ago then hearing anons shitting on it because the writer sucked or some shit. Also his other comic was really fucking gay. Never finished it. I do kind of miss the necromancer Bender character.
Thank god, it's over. The comments from people on the side are just embarrassing to read, like having that one person in your group, trying hard to be funny and no one laughs.
>No, we didn’t say anything racist on Twitter. And Disney didn’t listen to Slaughter Your World and say “Wait a minute…” I’m afraid this is the traditional kind of cancelled. After 17 years of sharing the antics and adventures of Richard, Cale, and company, Looking For Group is going on an indefinite hiatus.
>Trust me, we wish this wasn’t the case. Publishing a successful comic online takes more than maintaining an audience. And as much as the online comic business has changed over the years, so have we. We aren’t even Blind Ferret Entertainment anymore, we’re Laughing Dragons Studios now. Our focus as a company gradually drifted in a different direction from what an online comic needs to be successful. We have to accept that the divide finally got too wide.
>Is this the end of LFG? Who knows. Just in case, Lar, Ed, and I will be wrapping up the current story, but in a way that leaves the door open to a future revival. We were allowed to keep going until the end of August, and we took that offer to the extreme. Our final page goes live on August 31st. The next month and a half will be a wild rush of plot advancement to the comic’s conclusion. We invite you to celebrate LFG with us as Cale, Richard, Benny, and the rest ride off into the sunset… for now.
Who the fuck cares about this trash? >wow 8-bit theatre is pretty popular, what if I just copied it? >and I make it a WoW ripoff, kids love WoW right? >sure I have the writing skills of a hyperactive 12 year old, but that shouldn't be an issue!
Same. I remember discovering LFG back in The Burning Crusade and thinking Richard was cool. The last strips I remember was in some sand filled cave with some glass/diamond golems or something like that.
If you had asked me 5 minutes ago if this shit has been dead for over a decade now, my answer would have been yes with absolute certainty. How in the fuck did it last this long?
wow it deserved that fate a decade ago
fpbp
LFG's soul died a long, long time ago and has been shambling around in the interim for far too long.
I binged it a month or something before they announced they were going to end it, and my only reaction was "yeah, should have done that a while ago."
>LFG's soul died a long, long time ago
Impossible. It would first need to have a soul to begin with.
>implying anyone here was still reading LFG
Sohmer lost all relevancy after the 2010s and he didn't have much to begin with.
Because Ryan and his pet mall caricaturist suck balls
Oh, yeah. Sorry, 8-Bit Theater ended too.
I actually bought the first couple of volumes from him at a convention back when it was starting out.
Because it sucked.

It sucked from the start, really.

it was made for this but 5 years too late and done poorly at that
Thank god, it's over. The comments from people on the side are just embarrassing to read, like having that one person in your group, trying hard to be funny and no one laughs.

At least it didn't Bomango into fetish shit
>We were allowed to keep going until the end of August
what does this mean, who's stopping them, what
>cancelled
Bullshit clickbait tier wording. But then again, I wouldn't expect anything else from Sohmer.

None of us knew. Sohmer's comics are fucking bad and not in the way you can make dozens of low effort shitposts about.
This shit was still going? I dropped it after bull dad kicked it. Did he stay dead?
Ok, but did the elf and Richard fucked?
I stopped reading this shit years ago, how does it end?
Same. I remember discovering LFG back in The Burning Crusade and thinking Richard was cool. The last strips I remember was in some sand filled cave with some glass/diamond golems or something like that.
And take Endtown with you.
