Ahsoka, on the other hand, portrays Thrawn as middling at best. Mikkelson is a great actor and he is very well cast, but the writing is subpar. Filoni PROTECTS Ahsoka to such an insane degree that there is very little reason to ever watch an Ahsoka media project (and there are many of those, as she is in 48 different shows) because the outcome will always be different he same.
EU Thrawn was so dangerous he couldn't be beaten by conventional military means, he had to be taken out by subverting his bodyguard's racial proclivity to worshipping the blood of fricking Darth Vader.
