Why did Boomers shit and piss themselves over this show? Why was it such a cultural event?
It's just poor interpersonal drama mixed in what sometimes a hint of action and moronic mystery

It's hard to realize how stupid the mystery is when you're getting drip fed it week by week
sunk cost fallacy. they're too embarrassed to admit they wasted hours on this boring slop
For me it’s the chad Asian guy
Most people didn't have internet back then, or at least internet that could stream the few limited choices there were back then. You either sat down and watched this shit or you were left out, most people want to feel included in the community so they complied with this social convention.
It was basically either LOST or some no budget reality TV show.
In 2005 ?In which country ?
He wasn’t alive then, so don’t bother.
Keep in mind during the same time period both Soprano's and the Wire were both running at the same time and they didn't even have 1/10th the draw that Lost had
Breaking Bad would come out during the 4th season of Lost
I don't understand why Lost is such bad quality when literally it was at the height of the period with the most Kino TV
Is it really that hard to understand the difference between broadcast and premium cable?
WE HAVE TO GO BACK!
>ywn clean Evangelion Lilly's feet with your tongue
They did the same thing to this as they did to game of thrones, dragged it on and on, forgot/ignored all the subplots they spent years developing, and ended it with a train wreck of slop they wrote in 3inutes that afternoon
Babylon 5 did a serialized storyline carefully planned out over 4 1/2 years, all written by one guy, years before LOST popularized it
Lost didn’t have a planned out story.
>Boomers
it was some genx and some millennials you dumb Black person
>Previously on LOST...
KINOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>CUTS TO 100 HOURS OF FLASHBACK BACKSTORY ABOUT JACK CRYING ABOUT HIS DAD FOR THE XTH TIME
you're a moron, and i didn't even really like the show
great pilot with enough draw to keep going until it was repetitive
i was following the show until mid season 2, couldnt deal with the carrot and stick plot anymore
the writers got blocked in from the audience guessing everything from purgatory to aliens
The first two seasons were and still are kino.
It went downhill after, but it still didn't get to become absolute shit by the end. It was alright, and the ending was fine too.
it was just so heckin diverse don't you know
you had a mexican
a brit
aussies
koreans
american blacks
african blacks
not to mention an indian chad playing an iraqi (would have been too weird to cast an arab so soon after 9/11)
>Sayid is a fricking pajeet
I did not know that
Unironically ruined Lost for me even more because he was one of my favorite characters since his storylines are one of the most interesting
Frick you
All browns are Black folk as far as I'm concerned.
It's an objectively bad show. It started out with a lot of promise but it turned into a clusterfrick pretty quick.
Since most people got their entertainment from TV, people just wasted their time with the show hoping the next week's episode was good. They couldn't even rewatch past seasons or the whole series to be pissed off at it for not making any cohesive sense.
it exploited every possible gimmick/hook to keep people tuning in each week. now people are inoculated against that shit.
You had to be there.
This show has the most anticlimactic ending in the history of mankind
It's like the writers wanted to shit all over it at the end on purpose
>It's like the writers wanted to shit all over it at the end on purpose
that would make it better, the sad truth is they actually tried really hard and it was the best they could do.
>most anticlimactic ending in the history of mankind
>t. has never seen Sopranos
>Jack the plane is on fire
>Everybody get away from the plane!
>Jack we're running out of water
>Uhhh go get some water
>Great idea, thanks Jack.
>Jack I need to take a shit
>Go take a shit
>Thank you Jack you proved that not all white men are bad (that was my character arc)
mass replying should be a bannable offence
it is
>one is light, one is dark
yet morons will still claim it was made up as they went
No its a race thing. The kid is black and he's white. Pottery
because the writers admitted that it was made up as they went.
Im rewatching it right now. On the season 1 finale.
I just started rewatching too, I'm on the season 1 episode right after Claire gets taken, the one with the briefcase. The first 11 episodes were so fun I forgot how many dud episodes there are, right until I hit this one and all of the show's momentum suddenly died. It's making me second-guess the rewatch a bit.
girls liked it and it was on fairly late, which meant you got laid afterward
