Then why did you bring it up and make it your opening point, you massive dumbass?
Because I don't like short post
Magic Knight Reyearth. Why do you even care?
Because i'd like to introduce mecha to a girlfriend and want to start slowly
Just gave her watch 0079 or G-Witch.
Escaflowne's like half-shoujo animu.
(only the anime though, the movie is grimdark as hell)
escaflowne seems like the perfect candidate, especially since tarot is back in with grills
Only correct answer
Rayearth and Escaflowne were already mentioned but IMHO Gundam 0079, Patlabor and Simoun fit the bill too.
GunBuster
Cross ange
During Braiger's production the director encountered dozens of girls who loved the series and tried to get in to watch the voice actors record their lines. They were aware of the BL doujin being made for the series and it seems like Baxingar leaned into it with the way Shutecken and Digo act towards each other.
You aren't a woman though.
Code Geass, Gundam Wing, Granbelm, and Gunbuster kinda.
>Code Geass, Gundam Wing
oh no im a girl now
You're a fujoshi anon
Mobile Suit Gundam and all of Tomino's future shows
Yeah Escaflowne is good but also these.
Women don't really need a shoujo style show, they like shows with interesting stories, good characters and optionally men, without things that actively repel them like ecchi. It turns out a lot of mecha shows are like that.
>they like shows with interesting stories, good characters and optionally men
They may say that, but it's bull. They care about one thing above all others for their entertainment, drama. The characters and story can suck ass, but as long as there's drama, they're into it.
Macross Frontier.
Magic Knight Rayearth
based
There's also a lot of NGE fujo/female fans, and it's speculated Kaworu was made as bait for them.
It depends on what your gf likes imo. Mecha after all is not a real genre in terms of story development and characters, it's just a part of the setting.
Anyway if your gf is a fujo I suggest Fafner and Promare.
Legend of the Blue Wolves?
>is there a mecha show that was purposely made with womens first in mind?
as long as you want to "interpret" it that way
Literally Gundam, there was Tomino quote about it however I lost it
SEED
The moment Allen shows up they'll be dialed in on Escaflowne til the credits roll.
