Low bar or not, is Spider-Verse's Miles the most popular/well-recieved version of his character when you consider his comic and game counterparts?

Easily best version of Miles, though I also like how he's written in the game, aside from his own game in which he was relentlessly fricking up and sucking up to his idiot antagonist friend. Comic book version under Bendis was insufferably boring. Maybe he's had better writing since then.
This version of Miles has the best hairstyle.
The only thing Spider-Verse did was show any honest person that Miles Morales is a card cancer and cannot carry anything on his own and that he needs a host of Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, etc to even get people to feign interest in him.
Based.
Miles got raped in the sizzling summer of 2020, kwab
meme goes hard
Never understood the Miles had no character argument when MCU Peter poached so much from him people kept complaining about that adaptation for the longest time. its like readers need to it be spelt out "from coward to hero arc" was pretty clear what bends was going for in the Original and Spider verse Miles is just Static Shock
>its like readers need to it be spelt out "from coward to hero arc" was pretty clear what bends was going for in the Original and Spider verse Miles is just Static Shock
Well he messed up on delivery with giving him an OP attack that can take out anyone and having people from Peter's past tell him he needs to be Spider-man when he just started. That's something that he should figure out on his own. If anything they should be discouraging him because they dont want him to die like peter.
Miles has never been portrayed as a coward and all mcu pete took from miles was his supporting character
And his high school
Midtown High is Peter's school in the comics as well
https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Midtown_High_School
also his crush going in his school and his father being a super villain
(Ult Kate Bishop)
Peter's crush being Liz Allan has been a thing in Spider-Man as well and he never reveals his Spider-Man identity to her unlike Miles. Peter doesn't date Liz Allen in the movie, Miles does date Kate Bishop.
>Her father is the villain
He is neither the villain of the Miles comics nor is Kate black. Hydra was the villain which the father rats Miles out to. Hydra also wasn't originally created for Miles Morales. Bendis just stole it. You know what is funny though? After Homecoming came out Miles conveniently gets a black girlfriend who is the granddaughter of Vulture. What a coincidence lmao
Anything else?
>Peter's crush being Liz Allan has been a thing in Spider-Man as well and he never reveals his Spider-Man identity to her unlike Miles. Peter doesn't date Liz Allen in the movie, Miles does date Kate Bishop.
Homecoming Liz Allen is a blackwashed Ult Kate Bishop
No she isn't. Liz Allen is just the popular girl with no depth Peter wants to screw. You're really not making a good case for yourself here. Miles Morales is Peter Darker and it gets worse with his movie and game adaptations
It's taking the only thing Miles had and dressing it has Peter's with Peter's characters
>Whose miles flash anon?
Ken
Whose miles flash anon? Wasn’t Kate bishops entire story that she was nothing more than a honey pot? Liz never knew what her father did at any point anon, so that alone breaks down your weird ass grasp at straws
>when MCU Peter poached
Like what? The fat asian friend and?
Man it's almost like people are generally talking about the comic books. And seriously?
>MCU
C'mon. Nobody but non comic gays are praising that shit.
Correct. Comic fans are praising kino like Peter becoming a death cult member until he meets the swagger of a black teen again or him becoming a full on cuck to Paul. The good shit.
>Miles had no character argument
a lot of morons like to use this argument to excuse their strange hatred for the character
they same the same thing with john stewart green lantern
>john stewart green lantern
Shut up, Cartoon Only.
>to excuse their strange hatred for the character
Yeah. It sure is a mystery why people would hate Poochie
>still mad that miles is popular and successful
Of course he is, he stole from a popular and successful character wholesale while that original character was diminished in order to push Miles
He's only successful when he's being chained to someone more popular than him. His solo stuff typically sells like shit.
Impressive. Very nice. Now let's see how Miles' solo runs are doing
When Miles holds his own without Peter showing up, then I'll admit he's popular and successful.
So Spider-man 3 and 4 with no Pete.
2 Miles movies without Pete or Gwen
A 3 season cartoon show of just Miles and his cast and villains
A comic book run of 30+ comics in the top 10 without Pete's stuff in it.
last years Miles stuff was him getting clones jumping and shitting on the streets, so maybe?
He won't be close to "solo" popularity until he gets his own name. Any success he has in a product called "Spider-Man" will always be attributed to the strength of the Spider-Man brand, and not anything to do with Miles himself
>of just Miles and his cast and villains
>and villains
How many villains does specifically Miles have that aren't also clones of himself? Like two?
N
>is Spider-Verse's Miles the most popular/well-recieved version of his character
Spin from the Kids series exists
ATSV Golden Globe Nominations
>Cinematic and Box Office Achievement
>Best Picture - Animated
>Best Score – Motion Picture
Probably
They still weren't brave enough to have a movie with Miles as the draw, though. The draw was, once again, multiple Spider-men.
That's why I'm excited for the Spdier-man 3 game. I want to see how a Miles-lead product does.
when are they gonna give him a story that isn't about proving he is Spider-Man tho
It's not even close, it's literally the only version of the character I remotely care about. The comic version is dogshit and the game tries to be the Spider-Verse version without any of the stuff that makes that one interesting.
Yes
>Low bar or not, is Spider-Verse's Miles the most popular/well-recieved version of his character when you consider his comic and game counterparts?
Obviously. Most normies would look at you with confusion if you just mentioned the name Miles Morales before 2019. His game appearance came before the first movie but he was basically a random civilian the entire time that had most players asking "literally who?" Most people who talk about Miles are talking about the movies. Maybe the games are catching up with the recent one, but the movies are far more mainstream.
Yes
To be honest, even if I thought into was overrated and across was downright bad, I never really had a problem with miles in these movies. The only problem comes from how across seems to make others around him into idiots just to have a plot, but that’s not miles’ fault and he’s still enjoyable despite the other spider people being dumb.
