        >Order 65 stated that if either a majority of the Galactic Senate or the Republic Security Council deemed the Supreme Chancellor—the Supreme Commander of the Grand Army and an office held by Palpatine during the war—unfit for duty, and if the clone forces directly received Order 65, then the army was to immediately arrest or, if needed, kill the Chancellor. Following this, command of the Grand Army would be given to the acting Chancellor until a stable replacement could be chosen.

No, since only a few orders have ever been explained. It's just alluded to that every order has a meaning, which makes sense.
                All the Orders:
                >Order 4
                >Order 5
                >Order 6

If anything it was Empire that retconed how many surviving Jedi there should be. Never made much sense that Obi-wan and Yoda were the only ones left. There should be at least hundreds.

I liked the idea better where there were only a handful left like Obi-Wan, Luke, Leia, Yoda and maybe 2 or 3 more, because Vader personally hunted most of them down.

        >because Vader personally hunted most of them down
This is something missing from the EP3-4 gap, that they really ruined with having so much focus on the inquisitors instead. Half of Vader's legend was that he hunted down and killed the Jedi himself, not that he gave orders as a hologram for others to do it.

It never made a lick of sense that:
        1. Only two Jedi survived.
        2. Yoda somehow, magically, knew this fact.

At the start of Order 66, there were 10,000 Jedi Knights, not counting Padawan, failed Jedi, Jedi who left etc. It was always absurd to think that, having the entire fricking GALAXY to hide in, including the Unknown Regions/Outer Rim, and being the quintessential survivalists, 99,99999% of them were found by the Empire...somehow.

For frick's sake, all you had to do was hide out in the middle of some jungle - and that's it. Perfectly safe.
Or simply go to a world in the aforementioned parts of the galaxy, where the Empire had very little to no presence.

In the EU they at least attempted to remedy this by constantly having moronic Jedi either going after the Empire solo, or gathering in larger groups and drawing attention.

This. Plus the fact that everyone forgets Obi-Wan reprogrammed the message asking Jedi to return to the temple, instead warning them to stay away.

This. Plus the fact that everyone forgets Obi-Wan reprogrammed the message asking Jedi to return to the temple, instead warning them to stay away.

...and that not a single surviving Jedi would train new ones, though at least Filoni remedied that in at least one case (Ezra Bridger).

It's a lot harder to train new members when you're a hobo in the slums or wilderness instead of having a cushy fortress on the galactic capital and being funded by the government in exchange for being their assassins/diplomats

    >Luke, did I ever tell you about Bidlo Kwerve? He was a Corellian pirate and smuggler who served Jabba Desilijic Tiure. A tall, grizzled man with scarred features and a mane of black hair, he was known for his greediness and hot temper, and was quick to respond to any perceived insults. Kwerve and a Twi'lek named Bib Fortuna competed to become Jabba’s new majordomo after the Hutt deemed his previous retainer, Naroon Cuthus, too old and incapable of carrying out his duties. Kwerve and Fortuna hated each other with a passion and went to great lengths to prove themselves in Jabba’s eyes, though Jabba considered each as incompetent as the other. Kwerve disliked Jabba’s top pilot, Han Solo, and the two often clashed, both in words and with blasters. Around 2 BBY, he considered leaving Jabba’s employ because of the continual menial tasks that were being asked of him, and though Fortuna encouraged him to quit, he never did. Shortly before the Battle of Yavin, Kwerve discovered a crashed ship in the Tatooinian desert, with a live rancor inside it. Hoping to present the beast to Jabba for his birthday, he begrudgingly sought the aid of Fortuna to help him transport it to Jabba’s Palace. Jabba was impressed with the initiative shown by his two top lieutenants and offered to make one of them his new majordomo; the other would be given the “greater honor,” though Jabba did not specify what this was. Ever greedy, Kwerve accepted the “greater honor"—he became the rancor’s first victim and was devoured in a pit below Jabba’s court.
    >Anyway, I only bring this up because in about four years you’re going to pick up his skull and throw it at a panel to drop a massive door down on that very same rancor. He’ll get his revenge on the rancor, from a certain point of view. And he was a good friend.
