That Nightwing annual aside, back in Dixon’s run he was kinda stringing Bridget Clancy along for like 20 issues in the beginning of his and Babs’ relationship. Dixon did such a slow burn Dick and Babs kissed around issue 20 and were pretty much treated as together in that book, BOP, and the other batbooks, but he was still flirting with Clancy, taking her to a party/ceremony when he graduated from the police academy, kissed her a couple times, etc. then she saw a pic of Dickbabs at the beach in his apartment and ran off crying.
