I found Star Wars so much more disposable than I ever thought it could be. As someone who was a little kid when ANH premiered I was invested in a way zoomers can't even understand. It was part of not just my identity but our collective cultural identity. It mattered about as much as anything that was just entertainment could. And now I find that not only do I not care any more I'm not even that saddened by the fact that I don't care.
I thought about this for a while and what I eventually came to realize is that the world and characters of SW didn't actually matter that much to me. I enjoyed them so much mostly because they offered spectacle, technical proficiency and creativity on a level other franchises didn't back then. The story was an excuse for the cool shit to happen which was fine because man, that shit was cool.
But now that it's the same greenscreen wokeshit slop everything else is and we finally got the franchises I always wanted to see movies of why should I care? If I'm going to rewatch anything now it'll be LOTR or the Raimi Spider-Man movies, because Gandalf and Peter Parker are better characters than Obi-Wan or Luke. I don't hate Star Wars. I just don't put it on a pedestal any more because other franchises caught up to and then surpassed it.
