I mean, she did inadvertently cause Weirdmageddon to happen by giving that rift to Blendin possesed by Bill in exchange for a 'slightly longer summer'.
My crush back in uni said she didn't see anything wrong with Dipper sacrificing his chance at education for Mabel. She just said it's the reality of life.
So why was this birth mark never anything more than the reason why he is called dipper? This is an entire show about magical mysteries, and this boy who is connected to all kinds of magic and sci-fi shenanigans has a constellation birthmark that is just a coincidence?
The show was better-planned than most but still not planned at all in some aspects
This was one of them, the zodiac circle was another (does anyone have the source for Hirsh saying "they didn't know what it was until the last few episodes"?)
Mabel should've given Dipper her blessing to pursue his dream to study with Stanford. It would've been a nice bit of character development after how goddamn selfish she'd been all summer.
She did, but then bad writing skewed Dipper's plans to pursue a scholarship as a childish fantasy, equivalent to Mabel hiding away in an ecstasy bubble. Same way Toddler Wendy having a crush on him was equivocated to a tween crushing on a teen.
>should've
She was

Why the frick are you on a Gravity Falls thread if you hate it so much, dumbass?

They hated him because he said the truth.

Same reason Mabel had a shooting star motif that was never explored
So many space ties that went nowhere
Not true, all the main characters had a motif like that. The shooting star was her symbol on the circle Ford made to defeat Bill.

In a way she was, and she won too.
