Madame Web Scores Terrible Reviews: Likely Latest Dud In Sony's Marvel Universe

>Early reviews for the latest Marvel film have slammed "Madame Web" as the "worst comic book movie" yet, as Sony's effort to flesh out its own Marvel Universe separate from the ultra-successful Disney franchises continues to flounder.

>Critics have wasted no time panning the film with commentary ranging from "hilariously bad" (Daily Beast) to "depressingly internet" (Hollywood Reporter) and having "none of the charm you expect from even the most basic superhero movie" (Variety). "'Madame Web'" isn't as bad as you've heard," wrote Rolling Stone reviewer David Fear. "It's so much worse." The film so far has only a dismal 25% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

>“Madame Web” is expected to make $30 million to $35 million after its Wednesday release and have the lowest-ever domestic opening for a Sony Spider-Man movie.

The entertainment industry as a whole is backwards with this shit. Nobody cares what you wear at award shows, talk shows, and conventions. Put the sex appeal in the movies and games.

in your little theory there, how do you explain that the same actresses also say in interviews and on their own twitter accounts that they hate "being sexualized" and "the male gaze" and all that shit?
meanwhile very, very few of them openly say they like to look sexy.
like Alice Eve who defended her sexy scene in that Star Trek movie. I don't even have a second example, because it's fricking rare.

lmao so i think what you're suggesting is that these actresses were all like "when are we going to have to show our breasts" and the director was like "no breasts" and they were like "noooo i must be almost naked in public how will i express myself"

          is that it?

My fellow anon, I CAMPAIGN for more skin in the game if you get my drift

Want to know why the new Indiana Jones failed? they picked a flat chested women and NEVER let her show off her cleavage.

It's a fricking scientific fact that women with big boobs sell tickets to movies!

Madame Web WILL fail because they got the biggest breasts in the game SYDNEY SWEENY and then decided that somehow putting fricking SILENCERS on her bazongas was a market move.

They deserve EVERY dollar lost for not slapping those giant fluffy bags of warmth and life on screen.

Both are the result of decades of sexual repression. Same as how porn addicts can either go full gooner or they get disgusted at the thought of sex outside of porn.

Really both are a result of a need to control women's bodies. Woman dresses provocatively? Call her a prostitute and AI her in clothes. Woman dresses modestly? AI her clothes away and beat off.

It's simple. You make a movie banking on [random hero] without using said hero and then you push contemporary characters of his in it, so now they predate [random hero]'s origin story.
You're effectively robbing [random hero] from his uniqueness and drive. You turn the hero who started it all into a dumb trend chaser.
So yeah, you can go frick yourself. I wouldn't even watch your shit if I were gifted tickets.
