Madame Web was screened in March/April 2023 on the Sony Lot for Sony employees. It was absolutely thrashed at that screening and the audience was telling the film makers present that it was awful. So they've known this for at least ten months. Also Kraven is dogshit to no one's surprise.

I actually kind of liked that none of them got their superpowers during the movie. It made the action more like Terminator where it was all about how to outrun the villain instead of just slapping each other back and forth with the same powers like they did in Venom and Morbius. It's not to say the action was good, but at least it was different.
But yeah, we get two short premonition scenes (one at the beginning, one at the end) of the spider women that are so quick cut we barely see any of their costumes.

Yah know... there's the bones of something here, but it needs more heart and more spectacle. Cassandra needs more one on one time with each girl, and they all need more development. PLUS Ezekial should have been the author of his own demise, his threatening the girls could have lead to them seeking the spider he stole to get their powers, only they can't master the power before he kills them, which requires Cassandra to sacrifice herself to save them.
