I think it had a lot of potential, the pilot just didn't do the best job getting the point across. To this day I see people think that the main point of the show would have been centered around Kitty getting a cellphone. Also would have worked better as an adult cartoon, it feels almost like a sister to Mission Hill.
Maggie can't wait to see John Halo wrap up his story in a tight and satisfactory manner with you!

Jesus fricking christ that's literally the joke you spergs
>the pilot just didn't do the best job getting the point across
To be fair what even would've been the point of the show? It didn't really seem to have an overarching arc or comething, it porbbaly wopuld've just beena sitcom with a bunch of friends
Young adult antics in early 00s America specifically surrounding the hipster scene of the time. Again it basically seems like a more kid-friendly Mission Hill.
There was a lot of stuff in the early 00s that seemed like it was trying to cross the kid/adult stuff, it was kind of an odd time. Agreed that it would have fared better if it was just made as an adult cartoon though.

In terms of shows trying to capture young adult life yeah, pretty much.

So a Kitty Bobo Show was just ten years too early.
A shame.
It probably would've fallen somewhere between Regular Show and We Bare Bears in terms of plot.

Regular Show has the humour and the surrealism going for it. Kitty Bobo had charm but it was a boring pilot, I don't see it happening without being rewritten or at least trying a different network.

I could see it being pretty "normal" at the start, before veering into something like Regular Show Lite.

I don't think that ever was the intention of the authors. If I remember corectly they tried to retool it about being a cat who's been adopted and raised by two dogs, maintaining more or less the same cast

It had potential because it had a cute artstyle and likeable writing. Notice how I said likeable writing and not characters, because the same plot with the names changed would have worked in like 15 different shows. It needed some reason for the characters to be together other than 'they're friends', make them all work together or something
Wasn't there Kitty Bobo comics of the characters that the creator made years ago? I remember them but it's been years since I've seen them posted here.
There's surprisignly a lot of furry pilots from CN and Nickelodeon that ended up not being a full show like this, The F Tales and Bremen Avenue Experience.

In retrospect it’s weirdly akin to a pseudo pilot for American Dragon, or at least a prototype of Jake himself with the VA and character trying to be cooler than he really is
Hard to say. Maybe they could have rolled with the tone more but would they have gone for the animal people aesthetic? Did any shows like that pop up on those channels back then
in the end it's asiatictrash so it can go to hell. I realized this after looking at the concept art for the episode that wasn't made. this shot is disgusts me to my core, something about how cloyingly they attach to consumerism. nothing good would have come from this, if modern k-culture is worth anything it's making an example of how passable anything these insects do is.

After browsing here for a while, I've noticed people with art skills tend to dismiss writers as idea guys without talent.
Not sure if this is what happened there, but I guess their art skills just didn't translate to the script.
Imagine a timeline where Kitty Bo-Bo won, and once it became, an official cartoon it established a couple, and it becomes exactly like X-Men evolution in every way except the couples are different causing people who didn't grow up with the comics to hate the ships in X-Men Evolution forever.

I voted for Kids next door, but you got to admit, she's not that unattractive, She's certainly hotter that overdone ugly """female""" characters like Penny from Inspecter Gadget.
She is bland. Boring. Trite.
Tired of Cinemaphile obsessing over characters who are as interesting as drying paint. What the frick is the deal with people here.
(from a pilot that had 0 potential)

It would have gotten like 1 or 2 seasons and that's it
Just like Mission Hill!
Yeah, I did enjoy the pilot though.

It's really odd they tried to pitch something like this to a kids channel.

Yup
>the pilot had lots of potential
>no, that potential is not shown in the pilot itself
It was shown in the pilot though, the focus on the cellphone just gave a lot of people the wrong idea.
It had potential because it had a cute artstyle and likeable writing. Notice how I said likeable writing and not characters, because the same plot with the names changed would have worked in like 15 different shows. whoever made this should just reuse the art style with a different premise
My girl!!!!
Talking about a character from a dead cartoon?
yes, any problem?
Where do you think you are?
something had to have lived to be dead.
That’s the problem with modern fandoms, they’re always digging up corpses
everything is rotting
No shit. That’s just the way of the world. I’m watching cartoons being made at the end of civilization
A stillborn cartoon really
Damn, that’s harsh. Although technically, these are cartoons that were aborted.
They never experienced life... what a shame. bye anon!
has anyone made a human version?
For what fricking purpose?
To not be a zoophile
You think coomers would bother making a human version? They’re the only ones who care about her anymore
Out of curiosity, what is your favorite show?
I don’t think I have one anymore.
I’ve been reading the original YuGiOh! manga though. What were you expecting?
Nothing, really. Cinemaphile is shitposting and Cinemaphileomers more than real discussion
It really is
I posted the link to fat Maggie and I do come here to hate-discuss Vivzie’s shit. Other than that, I’ve been watching the recent BFDI serieses
Didn't the creator make her gay in the comics about her?
>comics about her
???
huh?
Wasn't there Kitty Bobo comics of the characters that the creator made years ago? I remember them but it's been years since I've seen them posted here.
great, now go train a LoRA on all these screenshots
I wonder what our timeline would be like if this was made instead.
There's surprisignly a lot of furry pilots from CN and Nickelodeon that ended up not being a full show like this, The F Tales and Bremen Avenue Experience.
>The F Tales
I didn't know that one
>Scully as a fox
I need more of her
lmao
I think the creator tried to do that but no studio piched her idea i I recall correctly
picked. The show wasn't that interesting either
she looks like she engages in coitus with homosexual sapians
Yeah, and she looks like she fricks human men too.
I want her to be my pet
gata SEXO
In retrospect it’s weirdly akin to a pseudo pilot for American Dragon, or at least a prototype of Jake himself with the VA and character trying to be cooler than he really is
go to bed, Francis
Kitty Bobo.
Would have Kitty Bobo done better if it was pitched to Adult Swim, Comedy Central or MTV?
Hard to say. Maybe they could have rolled with the tone more but would they have gone for the animal people aesthetic? Did any shows like that pop up on those channels back then
Duckman lasted for 4 seasons.
Cute cat
Cute fat cat?
If I had a nickel for every lame cartoon pilot with a very good anthro cat design, I'd have two nickels.
make it three!
*plays music*
Hard fricking pass
Don’t like her either, she’s too young. Let’s focus on Maggie
I'd have three.
No
I, too, think burger
shitty art style
in the end it's asiatictrash so it can go to hell. I’m, uh, sorry you feel that way
Thanks for the bump though
>She never got to be in her cartoon.
>Has to relive the pilot for eternity.
HOT
She looks like Katya.
I like both.
>Great character design and artstyle
>Wasted on a shit pilot plot
How did they get the talent to animate this without realizing the writing was bad?
After browsing here for a while, I've noticed people with art skills tend to dismiss writers as idea guys without talent.
Not sure if this is what happened there, but I guess their art skills just didn't translate to the script.
I really like the outro.
I do too.
Want to start a Kitty Bobo fan club?
Do you know of anyone who made it longer?
Make what longer?
The credit outro.
Kitty BoBo!

Well, what is it?
