>Makes a big speech about death and devastation
>Antagonistic to one of the biggest Cinemaphile characters of all time
>People making edits on YouTube and other sites about how cool and badass he is
Is he just the Joker for people who grew up on CN cartoons?
No not really.
A “cool” design and an edgy speech is all you need to fool people into thinking you made an awesome villain.
See: Rattlesnake Jake.
i know youre baiting but genuinely kill yourself. no position on earth could convince me Rango was kino in every possible facet imaginable.
wasn't*
I just rewatched it recently and man does it still hold up visually
Please don't compare Rattkesnake Jake to The Bitch in my presence ever again.
Ok i can kind of agree about that snake not being that good of a villain but everything else in rango carries his flaws
He lost all the fame and hype he had after his anticlimatic loss in the Prismo ep
Remember when people thought the show was going to be centered around the Lich and exploring the backstory of the Mushroom War instead of Finn's relationship troubles and getting wax poetic about existentialism?
Nah it was getting turned into a baby and going nowhere with that.
No, that other anon was right. It's one thing for the Lich to freak out upon being graphically reanimated. It's another thing entirely to see him genuinely flustered.
Damn, that's fucking embarrassing.
>Damn, that's fucking embarrassing.
The Lich always jobs to the dumbest shit
>show up
>make cool speech
>job
rinse and repeat x5
How many other characters have fallen to this fate?
KND's Father consistently gets less threatening with each appearance
Why are you people so dead set on tarnishing the Lich's legacy? What possible stake do you have in this? I don't think I've ever seen him brought up without a number of chucklefucks shitposting about how a villain in a children's cartoon is a "jobber". He's unlike any other bad guy in the show, unpredictable, and mysterious. Hell, the dude actually managed to achieve his goal in wishing for the extinction of all life and only lost thanks to Prismo, a god, having to spoonfeed Jake on how to simply reverse it.
Now if the Lich had simply killed Finn and Jake instead of assuming that they wouldn't reach Prismo's time cube in time to be protected from the effects of his wish, he would have irreversibly won but what reason would he have to delay himself from what he thought was crossing the finish line? Do you guys just want villains to be flawless?
I don't think people would make videos like this for a character they hated. Even Toffee doesn't get this treatment.

People are just shitposting over how Lich is an actually competent and menacing villain despite being from a surreal cartoon world filled with weird shit like sapient candy people.
