The animation and comedy feels very off. Just doesn't have the same vibe from the earlier seasons
old adult swim was a product of it's limitations, now it's just imitations of those past shows with no real limits because the people running it now aren't in on the joke.

I knew it was over when I saw they actually animated the show, the show’s always been about the strength of the writing whereas the new episodes are relying a lot more on lulsorandom visuals
I found myself distracted by the visuals a lot and not in a good way

The final few seasons of the show were shit anyway. It went from dead pan and very sarcastic humor to characters being cut in half with chainsaw every ep. Last great episode was Bart Oats and I think that was was season 5.

Thank god I'm not the only one who hates the new visuals. It reeks of over animation and has that zoomer taint to it, it's hard to explain. Like it feels like the animators wanting to show how good they are at animating and so they cram animation into every single bit and it's annoying and distracting.
Shake and Meatwad’s facial expressions are a bit much. There. I said it. Rest is fine imo.

its the exact same shit theyve been doing for years. the show hasnt changed much in all these years. people who say its bad are traumatized from the amount of reboots theyve seen destroy the original source material. futurama gays for example. but no, ATHF bros are safe for now. They havent shown a single instance so far of a particularly off-beat concept or joke in these new episodes. Im personally waiting for the woke pickle rick episode myself, but so far so good.
1st episode was just ok.
2nd was pretty good actually, I liked it.
3rd episode was a bit bland, maybe just need to rewatch it, the robots were too on the head with the references.
