Mandela effect spawning new movies

Anyone notice with the new timeline, films that never existed before are appearing in reality. Like this, for instance. I would have heard of it due to its unique premise. It didn't exist in my timeline at all. Post more movies ITT that are new in this timeline.

A big one I had was Secret Window with Johnny Depp.
Let me tell you a really long story that's probably kind of boring. Back in the early-to-mid 2000s, I went to virgin megastore (or a very similar store that opened in the same location after it closed, hard to remember) with my family. And they said I could get any film I wanted.
So I looked around and saw Secret Window. Now I was like 13, give or take. So I wasn't allowed to buy a 15-rated film or my mum would get mad. Secret Window was rated 12, and it was advertised as a horror starring Johnny Depp on the dvd cover. Now I'd never heard of the film and it wasn't advertised, just mixed in with every other random film/show.
So I thought it would be a fun little film.
I get it, we go home yadayadayada. Next day I wake up and whip out my personal dvd player and pop it in to watch by myself. I enjoyed it but it was a bit of a slog and not very violent/scary (which was to be expected but it had its moments). Eventually I realise that the film has been going on for a really long time. By the time I finished, it was dark out and between 4 and 6 hours had passed. I was very confused. I later look into it and find out that it was actually an obscure miniseries but the dvd had arranged all the episodes into one long continuous film.
I chuckle at my mistake and that's the end of that. Barely think about it for the next 15-20 years since no one has heard of it, nevermind talks about it.
So imagine my fricking surprise when people start mentioning it as one Depp's best films from that period and wikipedia says it's a 90 minute film that had a wide release. I'm very fricking confused. So I feel I must've been mistaken and got the title confused. Except Depp hasn't starred in any horror miniseries. So I think, "maybe it was a different actor". But here's the thing, I specifically recall that it being based on a Stephen King book was one of the reasons I picked it out because I had recently started reading him.

I checked the filmographies of so many other actors who I might've gotten Depp confused with. Nada.
I checked every single Stephen King adaptation that's ever made. Zilch.
I don't know what happened to that dvd since it was 15-20 years ago but it might still be somewhere theoretically.
Apparently the universe just decided to make an obscure miniseries into a major studio feature for shit all reason except to frick with me.
And yes, I do recall the plot vaguely and it matches up with the film

Back then a miniseries like you’re describing would be separated onto at least two DVDs. Bullshit story is bullshit.

This is actually a very good point. I don't know the answer to this. It's kind of messing with my head moreso now.
I assume it was only one dvd because I feel like I would remember having to change the dvd halfway through and the only film I remember doing that with back then was lord of the rings.
But I also strongly remember my humorous surprise at learning that it was a miniseries and that's why it took so long to watch.
The obvious answer is that I just misremembered but I don't know how to explain how vividly I remember learning it was a miniseries or realising several hours had passed by the time I finished.

No, pretty certain I've never seen that film. The plot details of Secret Window add up with what I remember, though I must admit there is definitely a fair amount of overlap with Red Rose.

I think you are mixing up Secret Window with Red Rose (an actual mini-series based on a King book).
I actually have my own story like that, but instead of a movie, it was a whole media franchise.
So in my house, we recently bought a pirate box that has like every channel ever, plus a couple apps with recent theater releases. So I was channel surfing one day when I stumble across a channel showing a anime show I didn't recognize featuring a girl riding a "magical spaceship" that looked like a giant with Orb, so I press the little info button on my controller to get a synopsis of the anime, and I get the tittle "Magically Accurate In Space" and nothing else.
This puzzled me, so I pick up my phone and google Magically Accurate in Space and the first result is for a Shmup game series that goes by that name, looking at the images tab I see screenshots from the game, with the typical high detail spriteworks common from that era and a portrait of the MC that looked like a typical 80s anime boy. Funnily enough, the anime I was watching wasn't based on that first series but on a "sequel series" made for the PS2 with a more "moe" artstyle and starring a girl character instead.
So, alright I let this slip, but then the next day I look up Magically Accurate in Space and get nothing.

        >I think you are mixing up Secret Window with Red Rose
Okay, this could be a thing but it also doesn't make sense.
So back when I first discovered that Secret Window was apparently a relatively short film, I assumed I must have the wrong title in my head and Red Rose is very similar to other theoretical titles I thought it might be. The reason I never settled on that miniseries is because it starred no one famous and I was so sure that the only reason I bought the dvd was because it did (I questioned if I was confusing Depp for another actor but struggled to think of what other famous actors from around then I might confuse him with).
Maybe though. I might have looked at Secret Window and bought Red Rose. I might've heard that Red Rose was a miniseries and used it to explain Secret Window

    >The film was ill-received at the Cannes Film Festival, after which the studio demanded the movie be recut. Hartley refused, and Coppola supported him. These events, and the September 11 attacks, complicated the relation with the studio. The release, in early 2002, was a low-key affair; after two weeks, only three screens showed the film. It went to home video within months.

I feel like most mandela effect stuff is simply not knowing something or misrememory of an event.
For many years I tried to find the name of an arcade game I used to play. Could never find it. Then one day I browse /vr/ and theres a thread for ID'ing old games. I post what i remember about this old game. Turns out for years i had merged two games into one. Alien Storm and Killer Robots From Dimemsion X. The reason? The cabinets were next to each other.

Basically human memory is pretty vague and malleable.

In fifteen years, you will be able to type a movie premise into a textbox and have an algorithm generated 100% complete movie with any set of 'actors' you can think of ready to watch as soon as you press enter.

Yeah,as long as its compliant with current year morals and politics. Even text generators are censored because people were using it as e-girl harem simulators. Any ''movie'' you will get out of that tech will make a modern star wars movie look like Lawrence of Arabia in terms of entertainment.

I worked in a video store during the period this was "released". Never heard of it before despite stocking lots of obscure titles. Re. Mandela effects – reality isn't what people think it is. It's more like an infinite mind with all possible outcomes calculated simultaneously and existing side by side as reality frames. Nothing really changes, everything is static and the only thing that moves is our awareness, or what Shaman's refer to as our "assemblage point", which jumps from one reality frame to another based on our actions and beliefs. When you encounter a true Mandela Effect, it means you've shifted your assemblage point far enough removed from your original base reality that you start to notice the inconsistencies. Normally consciousness orchestrates a narrative or bridge of events as we move from one reality frame to the next, so most of the time we don't even notice the leap.

‘No Such Thing’ starred Sarah Polley, who had been in that movie about the school bus accident, that also included an incest subplot.
The movie was directed by Hal Hartley, whois and was sort of an obscure Canadian art house film director.
I remember when the film turned up at my art video rental place, and I dort of recall that the gilm might have aired on Sundance or IFC back when both channels focused on art house movies, rather than the more popular stuff they later started airing.
Hal Hartley is nartied to the female star of ‘Tokyo Decadence’ for those who are unaware.
