The writing knows when there's been enough of her, and always lets other characters acknowledge how annoying she is when she's being annoying. She's allowed to be both in the wrong and right, which means you don't question why anyone bothers keeping her around. Her respect for Mao Mao and the way his character is written keeps her in check too, because he just speaks honestly to her and her character is written so she is willing to listen. I love that fricking cat and his family. I miss this show so much.

Skip the pilot, the setup is pretty self-evident. Start on something like outfoxed, not impressed, or bao bao's revenge
Episode 1 isn't great, but that's not a good reason to skip it. Like you said its just one 11 minute segment, after that it starts to improve pretty quickly.
I'm a firm believer that shows with simple or self-evident setups make their best impression with mid-season episodes

Sadly big media corps don't just release properties they aren't using on the off chance that they can make some money off it in the future, so Parker can't just take the show to another producer/network.
