>making a movie from a game which is like 30 minutes long
unironically why?
the lore. theyre also making a movie out of five nights at freddys, a game where the premise is you sit in a single room the whole time and look at cameras
>Making a movie from a 100 page novella.
It's doomed to flop.
autism
You got BTFO so hard, you should consider suicide
have a nice day, third world moron.
>comparing best selling and well known books/authors to some flavor of the month game on steam
are you guys unironically this moronic? by this logic when will we get the movie adaptations of Among Us, Valheim, vampire Survivors and Jetpack Joyride
The Terminator was Cameron's second movie, moron.
>replied to morons bringing up adaptations
>"Terminator, a film with an original screenplay, was only Cameron's second movie"
holy shit you are really moronic, the whole point was why would anyone adapt a flavor of the month 30 minutes long game into a movie when almost all video game adaptations fail
>almost all video game adaptations
Almost all movies fail, you dumb-dumb.
>by this logic when will we get the movie adaptations of Among Us
they did this already
Mental illness
>Making an entire series based on less than a 100 pages from a novel.
Nobody will watch this.
>An entire movie based on a 30 page short story?
This will be eaten alive in reviews.
>A movie based on a Disney theme park ride?
This will be the financial bomb of the decade.
>A high budget animated movie based on a fairy tale that's, at most, 5 pages long?
Disney will go bankrupt after this.
based
>A movie based on a children's comic book?
Rated PG-13? Do they WANT empty seats?
Why not? People were glued o that Titan sub news for days.
>Dad! They're making a movie based on those old funnies you bought during the war!
It's a tax scheme, isn't it?
>Wow! That was the worst nightmare I've ever had. I need to make a movie out of it.
The guy ended up working at a McDonald's, didn't he?
>Hey dudes, let's go the woods and make up a legend about a witch!
I swear, those students and their projects...
>Hey man, I know this guy who makes totally awesome fake blood and guts! Let's go to the woods, get drunk, and shoot some shit!
Cute. Maybe some day he'll make a real movie.
>He wants to make a post-apocalyptic movie... about cars... in Australia... with nothing but desert around.
Can anybody even understand what that Gibson fellow is mumbling?
>A movie based on a board game.
Some Hollowood executive lost a bet, didn't he?
>A remake of a movie from 1932.
Whose nostalgia does it target? My dead ancestors'?
>A movie based on a side character from a 19th century novel.
What's next? A movie about Renfield?
>Literally movie #12 about the Titanic.
Cameron is really getting lazy nowadays.
>A movie about a prop from a different movie.
It's parody at this point, isn't it?
>An entire series based on a side character from a different series.
It'll be cancelled after one season.
there is a five nights at freddies movie and that "game" is more like just a concept like this
I just turned 29 but feel 50 because I don't know who any of these youtube people are
Markiplier is basically the Michaels to Jacksepticeye's Jannetty and Pewdiepie's Hogan
>inb4 who is Mr Beast then
the guy having his youtube channel funded by his rich parents? Roman or Triple H
Mark's brother is the creator of a long-running Furry comic
I wouldn't mind him in kinos. He could probably be kino himself. No more fnaf child shit
>21 posts
>9 posters
is this youtuber moron actually shilling himself here?
My money is that it's someone looking to repost it all in a collage to r*ddit for clicks, since this kind of "presented without comment clapback" that means little for discussion but is good for people just wanting to scroll by and feel smug without substance would do iron man numbers there.
Anon, I'm the one posting those posters, for shits and giggles, and I must say - get off of Cinemaphile for a while, it's rotted your brain. Do you think about Reddit all the time, or just most of it?
The beast recoils at the sound of its name. Go back.
My good friend, you know how to recognize when you should take a break from Cinemaphile? Where your automatic answer contains one of the following.
- Reddit
- israelites
- Trannies
So relax, go outside with your girlfriend, and have some fun.
My not friend, you know how to recognize when you should take a break from Cinemaphile? Where your description contains one of the following.
>- Reddit
>- israelites
>- Trannies
See? Yet again, my dear friend, you can't help yourself, only know you post all three! I beg of you, go outside with your beloved girlfriend, and spend some time together.
Bet every second post of yours contains the word /misc/.
Pretty hilarious how you freaks constantly try to high-road people on the same forum you spend most of your time on, shit like that makes you look way more pathetic than your own strawmen.
You type like a woman, you are a fricking redditor go have a nice day
See? Can't help yourself from mentioning Reddit in every reply. I implore you, dear friend, take a break and take care of your mental wellbeing.
i made the thread because i thought its funny that a youtuber self-funded his way into making himself Cinemaphile related through adapting a zoomer-core horror game. i have nothing to do with the autist spamming movie posters
Depends on how well they pull the cgi effects off of the anomalies in the sea. in the game there really was not much in the way of actual threats in what was supposed to be a blood ocean. Just standard deep sea critters like a overgrown anglerfish
Odds on him asking me to like and subscribe at the end of the movie?
Markiplier can suck my ass after he cried about Black person covid spread riots like an absolute b***h.
>A high budget animated film based on a toyline.
With death, violence, and swearing? Are they TRYING to lose all potential audiences.
Oh good, another a mildly amusing thread derailed by two homosexuals flirting. Fricking c**ts
Unless he's a sexy femboy, I'm still sticking to posting movie posters with amusing commentaries attached.
Then proceed to do so, gayatron.
I was curious when I saw the announcement so I watched his video on the game which is I'm assuming going to be a 1:1 of the movie and can confirm that it will be shit.
premise is, prisoner gets welded into a submarine and forced into a suicide expedition on the some planet with oceans of blood, he goes around tracking coordinates and taking spooky images of teeth and bones, the sub shakes around a little bit and then he gets jumpscared and eaten by a monster.
It will take about $40 and one day of filming to make this amazing debut film. The only funny thing now is lining up with the titanic sub but they'll wait until people have forgotten because these youtubers are boring
>premise is a guy is forced into a submarine, takes spooky photos of a big anglerfish which then eats him
yeah, game is like 1 hour long at best, the guy who made it worked on it for like six months (and I bet not 8 hours a day, just 2-3 at max)
the thing is the game in its simplicity works and its like 3 bucks, so him making another fortune after Dusk is crazy, good for him, but making it into a film just sounds so bizarre, like the idea of making a movie based on emojis, which was a disappointment
i genuinely think the game is moronic but i am jealous of the guy making a fortune off of something so simple. its a shame a really great horror game like Darkwood gets a fraction of the attention and money
homie, Darkwood made $4million on Steam alone
also when it comes to David Szymanski, he is good at advertising and selling his games
also Dusk was produced by Dave Oshry who is a New Blood exec iirc, he saw potential in Dave's retro shooter and it paid off
>homie, Darkwood made $4million on Steam alone
well thats good to hear, they deserve it for making a game that is good on its own merits as a game, rather than a bare minimum game that gets popular just because it catches on as a meme/fad/streamer bait
He was already in Mortal Kombat as Kung Lao
>Markiplier is now tv and film related because he is directing and starring in an adaptation of acclaimed slow burn dread based horror game Iron Lung.
i look like that and i make posts like that.
The point is the source material's not unworthy of an adaptation. Some had more to work with, but only made one movie. Others had less and they wound up creating a franchise.
in the case of stuff like shawshank redemption, a 100 page novella is more than enough material to make a film out of. the average script for a movie is 100 pages, and its written far less densely than the way a novel is. in most adaptations of full novels theyre cutting out tons of stuff.
>The point is
You're a Black person and a homosexual and should have a nice day?
son I didn't understand a damn word you just said
Even if it's terrible it'll probably still make bank. I can't imagine it's gonna cost that much to make.
I hate when rich people try to do shit they have no idea about
he is going ot crossover. jjust like joji did.
holy frick. lots of respect.
He's like a younger slightly more generic Keanu Reeves.
Pokimane is now tv and film related due to her role in the 2021 film Free Guy.
