Marvels and Star Wars are dead Dead DEAD, right along with Disney. They might as well sell off their IP's at this point.

Marvel needs to lay low for a good five or six years.
Then once people are no longer talking about how shit Marvel is now but rather fondly remembering how good it used to be, then reboot the whole fricking thing and restart from square one.

      That's a supremely moronic idea.

Better than what Disney is doing now where the ever-expanding MCU will just keep chugging along and anyone that wants to jump in now will have to sit through two fricking weeks of movies and tv series to have any hope of understanding what the frick is going on
Comics died because of exactly this bullshit, and their solution was periodic universe reboots which didn't work particularly well but was still better than nothing

No, they won't. Just watch the fricking movie, they recap everything relevant anyway.

            >Just watch the fricking movie
Tried that with Strange 2. If you just watch the movies (and this is already asking a lot from the average audience member) you get your neck snapped from tonal whiplash regarding the villain and only after that does some moron explain that you should have watched the shows on some streaming site you’re not subscribed to because they explain what the frick happened

Wanda's actions in the movie don't really make sense even if you did watch the show. WandaVision happened because she wanted to be with Vision, the kids came as a consequence of that. But now she suddenly doesn't seem to care about Vision at all, only the kids. Also in the show she at least felt bad about brainwashing all those people, but now she's totally cool with committing cold-blooded mass murder.

          >Comics died because of exactly this bullshit, and their solution was periodic universe reboots which didn't work particularly well but was still better than nothing
You're forgetting such great ideas as: Superman's gay son. Jean Grey turning Bobby gay. Gay Robin. Swapping out Captain America, Spider-Man and Iron-Man for their new black replacements. Cap was always a Nazi. Thor is unworthy and replaced by a woman. Woke politics killed comics.

It briefly worked with Star Wars. People fricking hated the prequel trilogy at the time (no, it wasn't the Plinkett reviews, it was way before that), and then Disney won them back with TFA and Rogue One. It wasn't until TLJ that normies were out again, and then they kept on shaving off layers of the fanbase with each shitty new project until they finally hit bedrock with Kenobi, and all that's left are the worms that would still be fans even if a guy dressed up as Chewbacca slowly decapitated their mother with a dull knife at Galaxy's Edge.

Laying low is incompatible with the streaming model, which needs a constant churn of new releases. Disney+ has murdered any slim chance the MCU, Star Wars, etc. ever had.

      Anonymous

You're 100% correct, the MCU is unsalvagable. Like you said its the exact same thing that happened with comics, it got too fricking moronic and messy and people lost interest. Which is why Ultimate Spider-Man was so popular, total clean slate. And once the Ultimate universe got too messy they killed that too.

People get angry because of sunk cost fallacy but this is literally the only way capeshit has managed to survive in the long run.

Might well be the only big name they have left besides Spidey that hasn't been burned yet, so I suppose they are confident for good reason.

    >New seasons of Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk with a higher episode count have been discussed.
Nobody cares about any of these shitters. Especially giving She-Hulk another season should be considered cause for investors to sue Disney, because that's just wilfully burning money.

Deadpool 2 only got 785 million and the 3rd looks set up to underperform vs that. Superhero fatigue is real, especially when you taje the reletively ground level Deadpool and start putting multiverse stuff in it.

      Anonymous

I think Deadpool is probably exclusively the only license that can generate enough interest in multiverse shit in itself to compensate for capeshit fatigue, kind of like how people only like multiverse shit if it's Spiderman and the brief novelty of No Way Home. But it'll be cold comfort for Disney since this won't translate to generating any interest with other mcu shit, like Spiderman.
gays will probably want to see edgy Deadpool being edgy with Hugh Jackman and mcu shit. It's like the only thing novel that they can do left
