      There's a gladiator 2?

It's releasing this year. OP's pic is playing adult Lucius (the kid from the first movie) and Denzel Washington and Pedro Pascal are also in it.

        >Denzel Washington
So is he playing a slave because historically I can't figure that.

          Yes.

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gladiator_2

          >Denzel Washington as Atticus, a former slave-turned-wealthy arms and commodity dealer with a grudge against the emperors.

No idea, never seen him in anything, but the past 2 years of the media baby girling him as the next big thing has turned me off from him honestly

    >Do we like it?

    an X-Men reboot? no

it's not 25 years ago, they aren't a fun little superhero team with a tight backstory that you can adapt any more

first off we've seen most of their movies in the past 11 years and secondly those movies not only adapted the major storylines anybody cares about, they were in continuity with earlier stories that adapted other major storylines, and third those adaptations were pretty bad in the main not because the underlying stories are bad conceptually but because the X-Men are simply ridiculously overpowered

that's before we get to the sideshow shit like they're a bunch of murderous scum villains masquerading as heroes these days, having literally started at least two race wars in 616 in the past decade, they're funded by shady billionaires and frick knows THAT doesn't play as innocuously in 202X as it did in 2000, they already tried to reboot 13 years ago and it didn't take, then they tried to marry the reboot to the old continuity and kinda gave up

add to that the fact that the previous Wolverine casting is one of the most successful superhero castings of all time and at this point, having been in the role for 24 years and about to appear again, probably the longest serving casting of any action/sci-fi franchise with the exception of Patrick Stewart (in multiple franchises! good for him) and Adam West etc, but only because they got West et al back for an animated Batman movie a few years before he died

no I am not looking forward to an X-Men reboot, this isn't Spider-Man where the stories are fundamentally the same but the hero is plucky and watchable and grows with you, it's some fricking hit squad who live in a compound between murders

    frick 'em

What if he turns down the role just like Russell Crowe?

I'd prefer Zac Efron. He's got more rugged features, and he's only 5'8". Also, Iron Claw was really good.

    >MCU casting rumors
Why don't people realize that they'll never get their dream picks because Marvel movies have become toxic to work for. It was one thing to sign yourself up for ten years of exclusive superhero universe, but this is post-Endgame quality. Somebody like Paul Mescal will never touch Marvel with a five foot pole because he's a real actor.
    >What about money? Everybody has a price dumbass.
Obviously not true based on everybody's predictions for the Fantastic Four cast and who they actually fricking got.
    >Why are you talking to yourself in a dead thread?
    I don't know.

Imagine if they just shelled out for great animation and a script that wasn't written by someones cousin(oy vey!).
Capeshit will never be as good in 3DPD, if they just perfected 2D it would be glorious.
I know it's current year, and it would still suck, but i'm pretending it's not.
