    >They choose Kamala as the main character
Huh? Why? The WhatIf episode basically set up Peter to be the main character, why the frick would they choose her over him?

It also had them heading to an infected Wakanda with a Thanos waiting for them.

Weird, it’s not like Sony has the tv rights to him or anything. Wonder if they’re gonna kill him off camera

Apparently that episode had some major behind the scenes issues with even getting to use Spider-Man and had to abuse some loopholes because of it being an MCU project. Which is why Peter had the Disneyland suit with the huge silver bracelets instead of his Civil War or Homecoming suit.

Really? I though Disney owned all tv rights beyond maybe hour long live action series?

              Anonymous

Disney has the tv and animation rights for anything under 45 minutes. Apparently the issue with the What If episode is that Sony owns the rights to all of the movie Spider-Man costumes, and the likeness rights for the MCU versions of his extended cast. So they can't really do much with May, Ned, or MJ, and have to use a distinct costume design for him.

So basically this deal is good for no one because it just locks Pete to only being available for movies? That’s pretty stupid, Sony owning the franchise really has brought nothing but shit

                Anonymous

MCU Pete is basically locked to movies unless Disney wants to cough up money to Sony, yeah. Pretty sure this is why Freshman Year ended up being retooled from a direct MCU spin-off (basically what if Peter was mentored Norman Osborn instead of Tony) into its own thing.

I sincerely hopes this lands somehow and Disney's not steamshoveling money into a black hole.

What If and Zombies aren't the same universe.

But the What If episode had Cap sliced in half after he tried to get on the train car

I get into Cap's guts. Literally. And vertically.

Apparently the rights for Spider-Man in animation are a bit weird, basically:
      >"[Sony] has the exclusive rights to utilize the "Spider-Man" character... to (a) develop and produce live action or animated theatrical motion pictures (each, a "Picture") and live-action television series (and also animated television series with episodes longer than 44 minutes)."

so Disney/Marvel can include him in animated works, so long as it's under 44 minutes. Funnily enough, this is why "The Spider Within" is in such murky territory and we still can’t see it, because Sony’s legally not allowed to distribute the short

Either Zeb Wells doesn't want to write Spider-Man or Marvel is intentionally keeping Spider-Man away from that homosexual.

Had great ideas but they didn't flesh them out too well because they kept dumping them to bring in even more ideas. The original saga was a bit scatterbrained.

Zombies in DC and Marvel honestly never made sense to me. Characters with healing factors and unique physiology should honestly be immune to a zombie virus.

marvel zombies is only interesting when it draws from the vast collection of marvel characters - to create a group of ragtag survivors, needing to team up despite their differences against the hordes of emotive undead.
What If: Marvel Zombies was like, a shoebox of MCU characters, and a million billion jobber zombies, all of which had next to zero personality.
NO, BUT LOOK WE GOT... uh.. JIMMY WOO! KATE BISHOP! THE BLACK WIDOW(s)! AREN'T YOU EXCITED TO SEE THESE D LISTERS FIGHT AGAINST CAPTAIN TORSO? HE MIGHT MOAN MINDLESSLY, AND GO "BLRRRGH"!
like, don't get me wrong, marvel zombies is a dogshit trainwreck in general, but at least it was a spectacle you could gawk at - WI:MZ was BORING; disney they actually managed to suck the soul out of dumpster fire

Literally all they need to do is rip off some of the original Kirkman stuff. There's a reason that's the most popular.

People take it way too seriously as if it was meant to be like the walking dead or something. It's a neat little black comedy story with some good horror and body horror. No idea why people get so caught up in powerlevel autism with them killing galactus or someone getting infected

    >Marvel heroine people actually like is the villain
    >Marvel heroine that nobody cares about is the lead character because they won't stop trying to make her happen
    Great plan.
