Banshee is very boring but has a very intriguing backstory that never becomes relevant in most stories he’s in >former Interpool agent >feud with his cousin Black Tom over not only a stupid castle infested with leprechauns, but also over the woman who eventually chooses Sean and becomes Siryn’s mother >said events of Siryn’s birth revolve around the wife/mom dying with Sean believing that both her and his daughter died while Black Tom was secretly raising her the whole time
He’s just a background character or auxiliary in the last few years when he’s not dead. His peak was being the most boring character in the early Claremont years, and Claremont had Banshee effectively neutered at the tail end of their “World Tour” arc where he screamed his vocal chords out yelling at a Japanese earthquake to stop it. Can’t remember if it worked. But in real time his character’s recovery from that loss of his powers was just about literally 10 years. He was just Moira MacTaggert’s boyfriend. Very boring.
Banshee is related to black Tom? Seriously? I love that Irish homie like you wouldn’t believe and I don’t remember that, hell I don’t even know how Banshee reacted to Moiras heel turn
>hell I don’t even know how Banshee reacted to Moiras heel turn
You'd think Banshee, Wolfsbane and Proteus would have big roles in Moira's story, but you'd think wrong. But one time they had Moira kill Banshee and wear his skin so she could sneak onto Krakoa.
And they made Banshee a Ghost Rider, and you think, he might have wanted vengeance, as he's now a spirit of it. But nope, he's busy doing jack and shit.

It was a spirit of variance, not vengeance, and it's already served its purpose and been consumed.
>I don’t even know how Banshee reacted to Moiras heel turn
he was depressed. then he allowed himself to get possessed by a spirit during the mother righteous shit and i dont think weve seen him since the future shit. which is a shame because the team he was on had so much fricking potential
>Not possible when Jean exists.
Whether you like her or not, Jean's at least allowed to be flawed and allowed to lose fights. Storm is written to be boring, "perfect" and invincible.
She fricked up pretty good in Fall of the Mutants, didn't she? And she had flaws during that whole child Storm era.
Her main problem was getting claimed by Claremont when all the good stories were being written by Morrison, then getting handed over to Hudlin during the Decimation era. Everyone else got solid character development in the 00s. Nobody bothered with Storm. Al Ewing was the first writer in decades to try and do something new with her.

>Everyone else got solid character development in the 00s.
Jesus, anon. You're supposed to stop reading X-Men by the 00s for your own good. Almost all of that "development" was in the form of a wrecking ball.
when she stole from wakanda then tried to play victim, when she became the queen of arakko, when she was the only mutant from the modern day that wasnt corrupted in the dark future, when she killed that arakko butthole in the afterlife. when she was able to easily resist charles mind reading her. every character is flawed or has flaws during the krakoa run except for her. and noone ever tried to use her claustrophobia against her once
Because the movie will be about racism and eugenics. Storm represents the Africans oppressed by whites rising up against racist europeans like Sinister.
If anything, Shadow King might ought to be portrayed as a good guy, since he represents the African religions demonized by whites.
actually not joking about the second one, a dog-bodied man in full prosthetic makeup acting like Jared Leto pretending he's methoding another role with similarly terrible behaviors would be a great Sinister, a real creepy-looking stupid frick like any good X-Mook should be
plus it'd really nail that doomed-reboot thing the X-Men are about
Storm's antagonist is Shadow King but since the Legion tv show already used him they're probably reluctant to use him again for the same reason they want to take a break from Magneto.
Mister Sinister is a good choice but making Storm the leading protagonist is a bad idea. They could do a Rogue/Gambit runaway story, ending up on Xavier's doorstep
Honestly yeah, they’d be stupid to do something without rogue/gambit in some form or another now especially seeing how their relationship is actually pretty popular. Who the frick you cast for them I have no idea tho.
The Rogue & Gambit romance was literally how the cartoon got girls into X-Men in the 90s. Literally every adaptation since has failed to understand this, and the new cartoon has gone straight to Gambit getting cucked.

Really it shouldn't be this hard >Rogue touches Captain Marvel, essentially getting her flying brick powers in addition to her normal mutation >Gambit is the lovable thief and suave hot guy of the team, and finally gets to showcase his explosive powers >Their relationship is one of the sweet/driving forces of the team/plots. >Neither have been properly used in FOX-Men material, so this gives a fresh new take on the MCU team
And while we're at it, give Jubilee time to shine on the team too.
Storm was the MC of the X-men's best days. As long as they don't get preachy, this will be good. Oh who am I kidding. This isn't being done in good faith anyway.
Okay fight me but I think it could work. Storm is joining a somewhat pre established X-Men team. One that has acted from the shadows for years. When she finds out Sinister is kidnapping mutant kids or something‚ she's the first to bring up the idea that they need to go public. Scott is Scott so he's kind of an uptight butthole who's afraid to lose the family he finally has. Shit I think this can work even better if Jean is already dead.
Fans of something are the enemy.
You must do everything to alienate the fans and create a new fanbase in the mainstream audiences.
If you dislike the new product, you are a bigot and wrong.
[This is what modern Hollywood actually believes]
Yeah. I think trans and non-binary are fairly legit terms, but it makes no sense to mush them together. Then again, I think the non-binary label is self defeating. The whole point of being against binary gender terms to not conform to gender norms... but they now have a label for a gender norm for that?!
Maybe if I was younger or they had that shit when I was in high school I would have been NB, but even then I thought these labels were dumb. I think kids should be raised fairly non-binary and think most gender norms are bullshit and short lived trends in the long run. But that is just my feelings. I don't think I should be telling parents what to do with their kids. That boys are promoted in mainstream media to be more feminine now, now I feel like swinging back to older norms in defiance even though I was fairly feminine myself growing up.
>That boys are promoted in mainstream media to be more feminine now, now I feel like swinging back to older norms in defiance even though I was fairly feminine myself growing up.
honestly, its the irony that gets me. men are told to embrace femininity by women, to not call out to women, all that jazz, but a man with feminine traits arent really seen as men by women. like the whole"men should be able to cry" thing, but ask most women, and theyll tell you that they wont respect a man that cries in front of them. those same women that were against men hitting on them in public spaces are now asking why men arent hitting on them. as hard as the world has turned to the feminism wave, th opposite swing of the pendulum is gonna be CRAZY
I'm fine with that, I like Storm-led X-Men. That said, I'd really rather not do what the original movies did by focusing on a single character at the expense of the ensemble cast element.
Storm is the most boring X-Man, this is a bad idea.

it was funny when Vulcan killed him
Sean was great as team dad in Gen X. Sean and Emma forever.
Wait, Black Tom isn't gay!?
Figures Satan would be filtered by Angel
>Storm, Sinister
Why not do Storm and Shadow King?
Not possible when Jean exists.
>Not possible when Jean exists.
Whether you like her or not, Jean's at least allowed to be flawed and allowed to lose fights. Storm is written to be boring, "perfect" and invincible.
Since when has Storm been perfect?
The 1980s, at least.
She fricked up pretty good in Fall of the Mutants, didn't she? And she had flaws during that whole child Storm era.
Her main problem was getting claimed by Claremont when all the good stories were being written by Morrison, then getting handed over to Hudlin during the Decimation era. yeah the woman who murdered entire planets and keeps coming back from the dead for tax reasons is allowed to fail
>I'm angry at a character for something they didn't actually do
>I don't know what the white hot room is
Jean is the Phoenix and the Phoenix is Jean
she shouldn't have killed all those people, but she did, and nobody's ever held her responsible for it except the Shi'Ar
>I don't know what the white hot room is
It's a moronic concept from after you should have stopped reading.
You don't know what you're talking about.

>Storm is the most boring X-Man
not even remotely close
Iceman is right there.
Correction:
Discount Human Torch fun-loving womanizer Bobby is fun.
"I'm so gay, look at how many dicks I can suck I'm totally gay" Bobby is boring.
for
Sadie Sink and Jared Leto
actually not joking about the second one, a dog-bodied man in full prosthetic makeup acting like Jared Leto pretending he's methoding another role with similarly terrible behaviors would be a great Sinister, a real creepy-looking stupid frick like any good X-Mook should be

Doing Sinister without Scott is super weird
hey, if they got Red Skull into Captain America, they'll get Scott into these movies some how
Storm's antagonist is Shadow King but since the Legion tv show already used him they're probably reluctant to use him again for the same reason they want to take a break from Magneto.
Legion's Shadow King mogs every MCU villain, so there might be fear of being unable to live up to that.

Sinister not being saved for Summers and Grey drama?
Cycuck
>Storm focus
lmao they’re trying to damage control losing their main black star and being stuck with Carol as their main female star
X-Men should be an ensemble movie, I would never forgive feige if they do a storm only story.
Just focus the movie on Gambit and the Morlocks massacre YOU FYCKING wienerSUCKING COWARDS!!!!
Storm was the MC of the X-men's best days. As long as they don't get preachy, this will be good. Oh who am I kidding. This isn't being done in good faith anyway.
This guy as Mr. Sinister and Ella Balinska as Storm with the black suit
Get Jade Cargill to be Storm

No but seriously what's his real name? Nair DoWell?
>No but seriously what's his real name? Nair DoWell?
Nathanial Essex
>Shalla Bal Silver Surfer
>Storm will be focus of the X-Men
Are they just deliberately trying to piss off the "M-She-U" chuds? It doesn't seem like a good business model.

nonbinary isn’t the same as gender nonconforming. nonbinary means “a gender other than male or female”.
these characters aren’t even trans lmao they’re just
>trans non-binary
>it's just 2 asexual twin alien monks
lmao wat
>cyclops nemesis
>oh but storm will be the main guy
??
also, jesus christ they really can't drop the m-she-u plans huh?
