Superheroes became the new Monster Mash films. If we look at the fallout of the Monster Mash Era, we saw the rise of New Hollywood and a partial return to form for horror as an underground phenomenon. We might see a Renaissance in film making in a decade or so.
1.Too many. Stop releasing 5 capeshits every year.
2. Too much bullshit with multiverse, time travel, space teleportation, aliens and other crap. Iron Man or Nolan Batman movies worked because villains and plots were grounded in science and technology fiction.
3. Less CGI. More practical scenes. Less focus on special effects spectacle and more attention to characters. Joker shows that you can make great with very subtle CGI and no need special effects overload.
That's all from me. I don't hate capeshit. There are good fun flicks from time to time, but they are getting lost in sea of shit.
>2. Too much bullshit with multiverse, time travel, space teleportation, aliens and other crap. Iron Man or Nolan Batman movies worked because villains and plots were grounded in science and technology fiction.
agreed but that's a problem with comics in general
>Too much bullshit with multiverse, time travel, space teleportation, aliens and other crap.
The Infinity War movies had all of that and made bank.
Now a good counter-argument, I admit, is that these movies earned that final "escalation" through writing a whole saga and approaching it one step at time, even in-universe, with the stones thing.
basically they just have to start over and slowly rebuild itself. here's my plan if i took over Marvel right now.
start off with an X-Men Trilogy filmed back to back, would be the original first class crew, Xaiver, Magneto and Mr. Sinister would be the villain in the first one, second one brings in the giant sized X-Men with Arcade and Mojo as the villains and then the third one would introduce Rogue and Magneto would form the Brotherhood letting the world shit its pants in fear when he holds the nukes hostage. we'd get a film trilogy that really focuses on the team dynamics ending with a new Marvel universe now ripe to explore, we'd make more X-Men but after we've restablished the rest of the marvel universe. there's less of a build up to more things and crossovers but they can crossover if we want to. there's more of a focus on the solo sagas.
I'll add: tone down the woke bullshit. No I won't watch a female lead. No I won't watch a Black person lead. No i don't care about an Arab superhero, or a chinkoid superhero.
Give me white male leads who are masculine, self-confident, fit and ideally save the damsel in distress.
About multiverse stuff, it was inevitable, the best stories were already adapted. The problem is that everything is too convoluted and formulaic. It's literally the same with comics, once you go through the best ones, the rest is basically the same thing, over and over again but with a different setting.
I don't come on this board often, can someone give me a QRD on the Flash actor's crimes and why he's still in movies without having served any jailtime lawl
>crimes
Hig biggest crime is probably choking a woman on camera. A normal person would be in major trouble, but it's honestly pretty small potatos for an actor.
The other stuff about kidnapping or grooming is mostly hearsay between some troony and it's parents, but it's over 18 so Whatevs.
Both DC and Marvel should go to one movie a year and crossover movies every four years at most, if they absolutely have to do them. Any capeshit TV shows shouldn't be connected to the movies at all.
The problem with slowing down, is that requires Disney telling it's shareholders that they're not going to be pushing for maximum profitability and the money faucet runs out.
marvel hasnt been relevant since that last avengers slop lmao
notice youve conveniently used captain reddit for your picture here. that was 10 years ago
They boiled the frog too fast. Had trends been going at the pace it was at the start of the 2000s, chances are that 30 years from now we'd have been where we are now, but only a minority would have cared. Instead they accelerated because they thought they could tank the losses, but instead of getting omnipresence and compliance, they got fatigue and pic related.
Ironically, big daddy Larry might actually have averted a truly bleak future by making studios think the audience didn't matter anymore.
Make better movies than the flash? The whole point of superhero movies and how they even got the success that they ended up achieving is because Hollywood was out of ideas. They had run over the gamut of every fricking thing that they could have pedaled and pushed in front of people. Then Spider-Man came out in 2002 and made more money than God. Ever since then, it has been a Chase for that same high. Doing the same unoriginal shit because Hollywood is terrified of original things. There is no safety in originality. Look at all of the movies that have been box office successes. They've been sequels. Avatar 2, No Way Home, Maverick, Guardians.
Hollywood has to compete with so many other entertainment venues. That they can't keep up. When they've exhausted every possible story beat, every possible character, every possible theme and arc and special effect, only then will they stop making this slop. And at that point, Hollywood doesn't have dozens of surefire hits anymore like it did with superhero movies for decades. They will have nothing and it will finally all die.
How many superhero movies do even get released in a year? Like 7, 8?
compared to the literal hundreds of action, thriller, romcoms, etc. it's not the movies per se, it's the fricking marketing that's annoying as shit.
It's really too easy, to bring the magic of comic books, the magic of costumes, the athletic bodies, the surrealism and accurate costumes, and James Gunn has to stop trying to destructure the already established characters. Super Mario was successful because he respected the fans.
Spooderverse is a cartoon movie so it skews toward a younger demographic anyway. The only other animated movies in cinemas right now are Super Mario that has been out for over two months, and the new Pixar troony movie nobody wants to see.
>Marvelslop
>posts a DC movie
You're not wrong, but...
They're all the same to me.
It's exactly like a Marvel movie
WE NEED MORE THIS
>the cure to superhero movie fatigue is more superhero movies
yeah I don't think so
Agreed. The genre has been played out. It's time for Hollywood to find a different summertime cash-cow genre.

I have CGI fatigue. I don't care how "cool" avatar looks, it's still a fricking cartoon.

>GOYIM PEICE OF SHIT. CONSOOOOOOM NOW
>or else youre an antisemite
>Make better movies than The Flash
but the flash was great? one of the best superhero movies ever.
immigration and superhero remakes shall never end
It will die like western movies

He had a farm full of kids
He was grooming a young girl. Parents got restraining order. Judge granted it. Sounds totally normal and acceptable.
For Hollywood it is just another Tuesday.

>DC slop fatigue is real.
>Marvel keeps thriving and getting people in Theaters.
>Kraven does more than the Flash.
>DC gays cry, Marvel Chads laugh.
keeps thriving and getting people in Theaters.
thriving where? this year not for sure, the highest movie was Guardians, 800 million $, that's it.
>le phoney over the top IM LAUGHING! xD captain reddit.jpg
>m-m-marvel still winning bros!
holy mother of fricking cope
marvel hasnt been relevant since that last avengers slop lmao
notice youve conveniently used captain reddit for your picture here. that was 10 years ago
My parents went to see the Flash and even my mom loved it, but then again they rarely watch superhero movies so the fatigue part isn't an issue.
>Superhero fatigue is real
>Black person fatigue is real
>Black person Superhero fatigue nowhere to be seen
How did they pull it off?
forgot one. i like where this is going
Dylan Mulvany is to femininity as Andrew Tate is to masculinity

it's just going to scale back with the universe and multiverse crap

Deadpool 3 will save capeshit

I wish

Huntress is nothing without this outfit. I don't give a fricking shit about her character if she isn't hot to look at.
All these articles seem to be ignoring Spiderverse.
Spooderverse is a cartoon movie so it skews toward a younger demographic anyway. The only other animated movies in cinemas right now are Super Mario that has been out for over two months, and the new Pixar troony movie nobody wants to see.
DC Films Discord trannies on suicide watch, grasping at Marvel's feet trying to pull them down the drain with them.
>Make good movies
>so people will watch them
WTF WHY DIDN’T ANYONE TELL ME THIS
Remember when shills here were trying to claim this was as good as Raimi's Spider Man? That lasted a day or two before its opening in the US
>our solution to audience fatigue is to….keep making the same shit
Lmao these morons are paid millions of dollars a year
