>master, I know I'm a bite-sized red panda
>and you're a fricking turtle
>but
>how could a 500lb bear be capable of hurting anything?
>yeah yeah, I know the other "masters" we have consist of a snake with no venom, a monkey, a bird, and a fricking insect
>but
>there's this tiger, see?
>therefore, a +500lb bear, that could probably rip even the tiger in half naturally anyway, would not be suitable for chinese martial arts
>...
>because fat
Was everyone but Oogway completely moronic?
The cognitive dissonance and lack of self-awareness in the first movie was just amazing.
It amazes me even more that the stupid big cat still doubted Po's abilities in the second movie after he already beat Tai Lung in the first.
Tai Lung.
Who wiped the floor with all five of those clowns at once.
C'mon.

    You're not wrong
    >While giant pandas may look friendly and cuddly, they can be more dangerous than they look. In a recent study involving 151 carnivores, the panda earned 5th place. With a bite force of almost 1300 Newtons, only lions (1315 N), grizzlies (1410 N), tigers (1472 N), and polar bears (1647 N) beat the panda.
Pandas don't have claws as long as grizzlies, since they have a herbivore diet, but they're still bears.

        Well they are carnivorans.
Pandas are weird, their digestive system is still largely like that of a carnivore than a herbivore.

The reason pandas only eat bamboo is because they can and there's no competition for it

gorillas also have tremendous biting power due to their diet, but they're quite tame. Thing is, biting power doesn't really mean much. A tiger has enormous fangs that are basically like knives. If I punch you really hard, or I stab you a little bit more lightly with a knife, what's gonna hurt more?

They're loosely based on five animal kung fu, a form of Chinese martial arts. The maine five animal styles were tiger, crane, snake, leopard and dragon but other styles also included monkey and praying mantis. Tai Lung is leopard, and Po represents dragon because he's the Dragon Warrior and because there is no panda style in five animal kung fu.

I mean that animated short about how the five came together kind of shat on Shifu for not giving Po a chance since they were just literal clowns before Tigress recruited them.

    >only Dreamworks film directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne
KFP1 is a classic. Shame about those inferior sequels directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson. Let's see how the 4th one turns out since it's being directed by someone else.
