Maybe that will smarten them up into making Monarch S2 better.
Fricking morons (and I say that as a defender of that tragically disappointing series)
Can anything really "soar" or be a "massive success" in the streaming age? Honestly the whole operation seems to be just a usefully vague metrics mess that you can lie to your bosses about to keep your job.
>GO WOKE GO BRO-
>uh, well, I mean... they're fake numbers anyway!
>b-bot views!
Showing real life black pilots who loved their country despite it mistreating them IS NOT FRICKING WOKE.
GET FRICKED TO HELL YOU GOD DAMN WALKING ABORTION.
>Showing real life black pilots who loved their country despite it mistreating them IS NOT FRICKING WOKE
Hell yeah, brother. We patriots love our lily White daughters getting bred by big black bulls!
I don't think wokeness caused them to hire pajeet CG studios.
How is the show woke? Im already on episode 5 and I have yet to see any wokeness.
Also, did WW2 fighters really use rockets in 1943? Seeing the German fighters fire rockets at the b17's took me by surprise
The rockets were used a little later in the war than what the show is showing. But, of course rockets for both aerial and ground attack extisted.
Rockets =/= guided missiles.
Other than the rockets being slightly out of date, the show is also rewriting history in many other ways, like P-47s not even having the fuel to escort the bombers into the European continent, which is wholly untrue, both P-38s and 47s were escorting bombers all the way to Germany at this point, even without the extra wing tanks the P-47B and Cs didn't have.
British aircraft are also completely non existent, virtually all allied fighters haven't existed in the show for nearly 5 straight episodes. All to make the appearance of the P-51 flown by blacks out be some great spectacle.
You really have to be a historylet to at all enjoy the series
Oh yeah, air to air wire guided missiles also existed too by the end of the war, but hardly used
Ok Hans we need need you to fly perfectly sitll behind the bomber while you remote control cabled wunderfaffle until it hits the target. No problem ja?
Well the Germans did sink a British transport ship with enormous loss off life with a guided glide bomb
I recently re-read Band of Brothers for the first time in 20 years and couldn't believe how different from the show it was. All the major beats of the series are there, but there was a ton of stuff left out, certain people driving the narrative that don't even appear in the series, or have their actions attributed to different people, people that are main characters in the series but are only referenced once or twice, series long story arcs that are only one or two paragraphs in the book, major scenes in the series that are only 1 or 2 lines in the book. The Pacific is the same way . It's just the way these series are.
Did anyone on the production stuff tell the audience they hate them?
No? Not woke.
Simple. Wokeness can be uniquely attributed to people that hate their audience and are proud of it.
Line em up rack em up
>Apple TV's most watched series launch ever
so, more of a smash-hit than Severance?
Every streamer site claims their current turd is their "most watched, number 1, top rak, etc" to promote it. Not that people is actually watching the good 'ol shows
how were the later episodes, the ones directed by women?
Post the webms
I haven’t heard a single person talking about it or seen a single ad
as a German I really enjoy watching this show, love how every Episode we based Germans kill these moronic amerimutt wannabe chads.
"Masters of the Air", more like "Losers shot outta the Air".
kek
>an exact number of viewers wasn't made available
how do they constantly get away with this while being part of a publicly traded company? I don't understand how all these major streaming platforms can now just declare their own shows are massively successful while not providing any real proof.
>12 replies in 2 hours half of which are samegay bumps
ded show lmao
Memphis Belle is the real winner here.
>Memphis Belle is the real winner here.
It's too corny. Really bad movie
>It's too corny. Really bad movie
Cgi dog status?
what the frick
why
Wouldn't it be cheaper to train a dog?
Both HBO and Apple are lying about their streaming numbers. Next to no one is talking about Masters of the Air or True Detective, unlike BoB or S1 of TD back when they aired. The only people I see talking about them are the people shitposting them.
>Apple TV+'s Most Watched Series Launch Ever
So a few dozen people?
>Apple TVs biggest launch
What is it even competing with?
I hope this isn't true. If it is, we'll never see a war series as audacious and technically masterful as Band of Brothers ever again now that normies have embraced lackluster cg, Marvel-esque action, and fictionalized storylines as a supplement to historical commitment. So long as they get to see anything "WWII" flashed on their screens.
It was always too late. We're never going back.
What infuriates me the most was hearing that Dale Dye, the technical military advisor for Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, and The Pacific wanted to direct his own passion project based around the 82nd Airborne and the defense of La Fière bridge. It basically would have been a movie length episode of BoB, but Hanks and Spielberg did nothing to help promote it despite working with the man for fifteen years, and now the only trace of it existing is a dead facebook page.
>Dale Dye
>his project dies
Who wrote this?
Black fighter pilots and a lolcaust episode are completely shoehorned in for DEI interests.
I've missed the last half because it just turned out to suck.
This makes me a mysandrist, a anti-semitic and a couple of other bad words I think.
yep
this show seems like gore porn compared to band of brothers tbqhwu
i guess that's kind of the central theme but still
