Well, we're getting a DVD of CGI He-Man titled "The Complete Series" which seems a pretty clearcut "it's canceled, bro." Pity.
I know the show wasn't as good as Netflix She-Ra, but it's definitely underrated and I wish Cinemaphile had talked about it more instead of losing interest as soon as it started airing. Cinemaphile's relationship with Masters of the Universe is weird.

>I know the show wasn't as good as Netflix She-Ra
You're right; He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was vastly superior. She-Ra isn't remotely in the same league.
Did you buy the toys?
Frick no, the designs were terrible.
Only the ones of Skeletor.
I thought the toys were selling well? I didn't see a lot of them on shelves.
Wow
Shame it was canned, it was setting up another season
It was a He-Man show that had Hordak appear in a cliffhanger ep. It was doomed.
>I know the show wasn't as good as Netflix She-Ra,
Very few shows are as bad as Netflix’s She-Ra, frick that garbage. CGI show was forgettable but at least it wasn’t that.
>Dyke-Ra adjacent slop is canceled
This is something to celebrate.
>Cinemaphile's relationship with Masters of the Universe is weird.
/co/'s relationship with MOTU consists of She-Ra threads where people fight over whether or not the show was great or shit, with some people insisting the other MOTU shows were vastly superior. The ones nobody watched or ever talks about. Just pure contrariness.
But by Cinemaphile standards that's a perfectly normal relationship. Cinemaphile's default state is contrariness, you'd better get used to it.
>if i close my eyes and ears I can pretend that the older shows were better
Peak Cinemaphilemblr behavior
I'll have you know I've enjoyed SEVERAL episodes of older He-Man!
...Wait, no, those were Robot Chicken sketches.
>Cinemaphilemblr prefers 80s toy commercials over modern lesbian fantasy
Do you even know what Cinemaphilemblr means or are you just parrotting a buzzword you heard an older kid on the playground use, you fricking mongoloid?
The CGI show is good. Only bad things about it were referencing Revelations once & giving Kevin Smith a minor speaking role.
The Revelations gag was great, frick you.
Did he cry
Nobody who got mad about She-Ra or He-Man reboots actually watched the shows or even the OG series
true
I watched both shows and I thought but were diarrhea garbage. Cope more, Dyke-Ra troony.
The first one is nothing but a fricking self insert tumblr fanfic full of yurishit and hate for boobs. The second one is a literal pro troony garbage with terrible writing.
The CGI one is okay however.
and I thought they looked decent at first but they were diarrhea garbage*
Weird issue with my keyboard.
Watched both original He-Man and She-Ra shows.
Watched the 2002 He-Man reboot.
Netflix She-Ra reboot is just plain horrible.
Netflix Masters of The Universe is a travesty and Kevin Smith should dig up a hole and sit there for the rest of his life.
Netflix CGI He-Man was fine honestly but it lacked something. Also pity Kevin Conroy died because him voicing Hordrak would've been fun.
SHITflix's CRAP-Ra is so bad that all you will see in their threads is the same talk about garbage shipping, yuricuckery and "boohoo Catra was abused, so sad!". They even need to keep bumping it with Entrapta's pictures everytime it pass page 8. No actual discussion whatsoever. Just ignore them since they never bring anything good to MOTU threads in the first place, after all that show didn't bring anything good to MOTU anyway.
Also, the show was written by a severe mentally ill and man hatting tumblr troony that looks deformed nowadays.
You know what? I'd like a She-Ra reboot that would be to the original show how the 2002 He-Man reboot was to the original He-Man. But with a small change in that the creators would take Hordrak's and Adora's father-daughter relationship the two had at the beginning of the series and run with it. With Hordrak genuinely loving Adora because she (and Imp) were the only people he could find solace in from Horde Prime constantly belittling and bullying him for being a degenerate clone despite getting shit done right.
That Hordrak did abduct her while she was a baby sure, but with the shit he had to endure constantly she was one of two things that made him endure all of this and raised her as his own flesh and blood. Raised her too well that he realized that if she learned the truth about what he did to her she'd abandon him (and dreaded that inevitability which eventually happens and devastates him even despite prepping for that day).
And then his conflict with She-Ra would be pretty brutal and intense showing his duality. He'd love Adora but hate She-Ra. If Adora was one of two people to that gave him solace from the abuse he had to endure, She-Ra would be the mental and physical relief equivalent to a punching bag for Hordrak to went all the steam he had built up...until he learns that She-Ra and Adora are both the same and is damn horrified when he realizes he did almost kill his adoptive daughter multiple times.
This is a goldmine to explore when it comes for the cyborg sorcerous overlord.
Wait until the ESG score shit goes away and we may have a good show again, without mentally ill people working on it and without LGBTroon trash too.
Also, I prefer Hordak being purely evil. A machine mutant monster that is actually secretly more proud of Skeletor even if hating him for being a traitor.
There is always a way to make him pure evil while also having him have affection and a soft spot. But that requires some really good writing.
>Can't transform into a badass panther.
DENIED.
Would've loved another He-Man X Thundercats crossover but sadly the ending and the Injustice X He-Man crossover left extremely little room to the point of non-existence.
>Mumm-Ra and the Great Evil Spirits are dead
>Skeletor got Joker'd by Injustice Superman
Darn.
Lol frick Injustice. No need to follow the same universe. I still prefer him having a soft spot for Skeletor instead since both are evil.
God I want to choke Catra while I rape the dyke out of her right after a fight to death.
>God I want to choke Catra while I rape the dyke out of her right after a fight to death.
Amen Brother
By the Emperor, I want to correct her behavior by making her a housewife.
Hey now, Felinids are sanctioned mutants
But homosexuality is Slaaneesh worship. Heresy.
>W40K tards escaping their containment board
You forgot
My bad
B-But where are the catgirls?
In Thundera.
>This is a goldmine to explore when it comes for the cyborg sorcerous overlord.
YES, very much agreed.
>You know what? I'd like a She-Ra reboot that would be to the original show how the 2002 He-Man reboot was to the original He-Man.
Worse?
The 2002 reboot was great.
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
Or you just have bad taste.
>it barely ever gets mentioned by animation fans because everyone else has bad taste
Or it was a pretty poor cartoon.
Eh, I just wish there was media that portrayed the Evil Horde as what they were originally envisioned as in the MOTU toyline, horror monsters led by a Nosferatu that managed to make even Skeletor's group seem 'normal'.
>Eh, I just wish there was media that portrayed the Evil Horde as what they were originally envisioned as in the MOTU toyline, horror monsters led by a Nosferatu that managed to make even Skeletor's group seem 'normal'.
Hordak was created for the cartoon by Larry DiTillio (JMS of Babylon 5 and Marvel Comics fame takes co-credit, but in his autobiography, Filmation president Lou Scheimer credited DiTillio alone). His Nosferatu resemblance is just a coincidence that developed.
The Horde that the MOTU toy designers were working on included Leech, Mantenna and Grizzlor with detachable Horde "bats", led by a character who was a brain with limbs. That leader character got scrapped and the Horde toys got showcased in the She-Ra pilot movie alongside the Filmation creations and Catra, who was invented by a new Mattel hire named Justine Dantzer.
"Nobody" is an exaggeration, but they were in the minority.
Proof?
Damn, well that's a mixed bag. One the one hand it's getting a Bluray collection which is a rarity. I'm not even sure the original Masters Of The Universe has one of those. But on the other, the series left off ready and waiting for more. To see that it really is over is a real shame. I know we've known for a while that was that, but I still held out hope. Convenient as well since the mega for the third part seems to be impossible to find anymore. There any word when this Bluray collection may come out?
Daily reminder that Adora and Catra are self inserts of Noelle and her partner, therefore it is canon that Catra prefer men and constantly cheats on Adora with them.
>MOTU thread
>50% autists still raging about Flix Ra
>bring plate of turd
>half people complain about it
OP: CGI is officially over. Shame people didn't talk about it more, instead fighting over She-Ra
Guys that hate She-Ra: Make the thread all about She-Ra. Again.
You're extending it.
Is it true that all She-ra haters are just incels? I usually dont take such statements seriously but this thread kinda proves it
>reviving a dead thread just to throw tumblr vocabulary
Kek, this is beyond pathetic.
By the way, there is no She-Ra hater here. Everybody loves He-Man's sister. We do hate that garbage Netflix show made by a mentally ill woman that tarnished her image tho. That is not our She-Ra that we know and love so much from the original cartoon and comics. Real MOTU fans do not like character assassination. Cope about it now.
>Everybody loves He-Man's sister.
Damn straight. The Netflix reboot is an atrocity and a modern She-Ra should look like Wonder Woman's long lost sister when Adora morphs.
This but Noelle DETEST femininity and even more masculinity. Her fans are as degenerate as her.
I will take that as a yes
>I will cope.
I know.
That's a shame, but at least we know not to keep waiting.
