just let it stay dead
Just re run the original show. Sword and Sorcery, even gay ass He-Man is not currently compatible with the west.
the original show was horrible!
Go be gay somewhere else, Kevin!
frickoff butthole
Stick clown up your ass and eat it.
Looks great to me.
Have you seen how animated shows look now?
I like He-man (mainly because I grew up with the tv show and toys) but I'm not pretending that it was a master piece. It's actually pretty cheap and schlocky like many other 70's and 80's cartoons but it's still an important piece of my childhood.
What's bad about it?
no buzzwords
Is this the one he dies at the first episode?
They used the classic Death and Ressurection gimick. He dies and gets sent to a heaven like place called Pre-Ternia so while his soul is in Pre-Ternia everyone on his planet Eternia mournes and Teela somehow winds up in Preternia and they figure out they can bring He-Man back...
The whole stink about Teela becoming the new main character is wildly exaggerated, she never replaced He-Man as the main character,
Except he-man is in flashbacks, or rendered moronic. Adam is constantly dead or dying. And Teela is the main pov for 80% of the show. With the remainder going to Lynn and skeletor.
He's fully alive by the halfway point and leads the good guys at the end.
He comes back, gets stabbed in the liver, morons out and 90% of the normal heman scenes are the trailer.
He beats Skeletor by the end, this is you just sperging about wahmen getting some screentime. The story of Revolution focuses a lot more on Adam now and you can't shut up about it still.
Look, the sin of Revelations was it was boring. They sidelined near the entire cast for a shit story while the trailers were all about He-man and beatdowns and then didn't deliver. That's not on the audience.
Revelations was a perfectly fine, functional show. Was it amazing? Not by any stretch. But it fell victim to outrage farming and YouTube grifters who yell at anything with a woman on it because they know anti-wokeness gets them money. You couldn't discuss anything about the show or the many legitimate shortcomings it has without some moron yelling that Teela was the protagonist now.
So functional it killed the actual good show on netflix.
>You couldn't discuss anything about the show or the many legitimate shortcomings it has without some moron yelling that Teela was the protagonist now.
You're right about the YouTube grifters blowing things out of proportion for views, but the writers rooms obsession with Teela and Evil-Lyn and going full moron with their power levels is stupid. Constant upgrades and new Godlike powers altering reality and the afterlife, for fricks sake we get it, girls rule. Calm the frick down with this shit already.
Teela was originally meant to be Sorceress from the time the toys were first created and even before the 80s cartoon. If anything Kevin Smith dug too deep into that lore and the casual fans had no clue of her character. The one thing 80's He-Mam dod was an episode where Sorceress reveals she is Teelas Mother, but then Sorceress erases that knowledge to protect her. By he end pf the 80's He-Man show they never resolved that subplot. Netflix and Kevin Smiths collaborative thought prcessss came up with the idea to have this Teela as the sorceress story be completed. They didn't want to reboot the 80's He-Man , they wanted to grow the 80's He-Man show up from it's childish style of storytelling.
>Teela as the sorceress story be completed.
Having her become the Sorceress is different from giving her four different Cosmic Power Levels and corresponding Mega Armors like she's a Dragon Ball character on her way to 9000!
>they wanted to grow the 80's He-Man show up from it's childish style of storytelling.
That's fricking stupid. That's so fricking stupid. He-man is by it's very nature a childish story. It's pure childish wish fulfillment, like Captain Marvel. Both are rooted in the universal boyhood wish every young boy has to BE the heroes they see in movies, or comics. He-man works best when he's an extension of childish fantasy. Summon the power of Greyskull, become the hero of your fantasy, and live your dreams. That's He-man. He-man IS the fantasy. Now, what you can do is explore the very concept of male power fantasy. Dig into what it is and how it works. That's how you "grow" show up from it's childish storytelling. The shit they chose to do is just... masturbatory.
so you expect the 80's kids who are now past 45 years of age to watch that same exact childish cartoon??? That's really stupid and foolish thinking.
If you don't want MOTU, don't make MOTU
It's that simple
80's He-Man is very similar to the 60's TV Batman both were kid focused shows . Batman then cam out with the 1990's movie which was not kid. focused. Revelation treats He-Man like 90's Batman did.
Cope, Kevin. nu-Man is the equivalent of snydershit
If you don't want MOU, don't male MOTU
But Batman was never meant to be kid focused
That guy is a troll, don't bother
Watch other classic cartoons like Superman, Spider-Man, Captain America., then watch the more recent versions MOTU is treated the same way. Holy Frick you are moronic.
Sounds like what you want is a documentary on child psychology applied to Masters of the Universe. I don't see any way to derive a story from exploring what you call power fantasy.
Oh frick off Kevin
I watched the first season (half season?) and she did replace him.
Keep well meaning but spectacularly incompetent stoner Smith and his writer bros' as far away from it as possible. Someone at Mattel having less of an ego and taking a pause to really find a group of creators capable and talented enough to make something worthwhile instead of just shiting out content for the sake of it. Take inspiration from the original box-art and mini-comics that really had sense of tone and atmosphere instead of just making more faux anime He-Man.
So did he came back or no? Is him the sidekick now?
Teela simply had an arc in which she became The sorceress. She was the focus of it but He-Man clearly was still important and every character extolls his virtues and how he's not only mighty but kind and good and excellent for the second half of the season.
And in the current show they have separate plotlines but He-Man's is clearly the main one and more action-packed.
Yes he came back, fully powered, and later even more. King Randor dies which is in the trailers and shouldn't spoil anything. I'm conservative and found no woke stuff in this season.
Just watch the old stuff and ignore the modern stuff
1983 and 2002. All else is meh, Netflix version is Gay Cancer Aids in the ass.
Set up a team of 80s cartoon fans if there are any queer producers they'll make the women look like a dude.
Netflix needs to be obliterated out of existence. As I said, 1983 and 2002! May Netflix Rest In Piss!
looks like and exaggerated carrie fisher.
That's a man
That's not your mother. It's a man, baby.
The netflix series is fine. Animation quality is pretty good. He-Man always saves the day gets evolutions. Although, will say the political decision they make at the end of Revolution is moronic and would get result in the deaths of many during political conflict.
It's gay and lame! Go be a shill somewhere else!
the old cartoon was gay and lame.
You're a moron, a zoomer moron which makes you thrice a lame duck loser! Piss off, rodent!
>the old cartoon was gay and lame.
In the 80s men being strong and cool did not = gay.
I know that's hard for your zoomer brain to comprehend
>In the 80s men being strong and cool did not = gay
You're absolutely right. He-Man however was pretty fricking gay
Says who, a zoomer born far too late to even begin to understand how awesome Cartoons in the 80's/90's was?
Begone
Gen X never used the word "Thot" . You must be Gen Y amd Z, you're the late 90's Power Rangers kids and up.
Go be a dumb ass somewhere else.
Voltron was better than both your lame as Powr Rangers and the re-runs of He-Man you saw on cable
>Voltron
lol no
Voltron is one of the OG Mecha robots. Gundam, Transformers, and the Sentai shows before Dinosaur Rangers/ US Power Rangers , all those are Mecha. WTF is a Zord also???? Where does that come from??
Randy Savage was not cool, he was outrageous and crazyand heavily pushed as a face. His Brother the Genius Lanny Poffo was much more a a funny and cool guy.
Go be a zoomer somewhere else.
Imagine Lanny Poffo with his brother Randy Savages theme.
It looks better 40 years down the road than you will lil zoom zoom
so is your dad but that didn't stop me from fricking him in the ass last night and then immediately after fricked your mom in the pussy
He man is for girls now, chud
I liked the 2000's show just fine, but apparently ratings and toy sales ate a dick and it got canceled before they could do the horde stuff.
2003 show was good but didn't find a way to stand out. So many factors to it's marketing and competition that was totally different than the early 80's.
>just a white font with no texture or flare
Why is everything so soulless and minimalist these days?
why? is Minimalist Font Gay? It's just a graphic design choice
Because a certain tribe realizes the Illiad inspired a whiteman named Alexander the Great
Indeed. 80s soul always the best.
Top is so much better but can anyone articulate why? I can't exactly explain why, the top feels a bit less cartoony maybe?
it's cropped better. ...I never played the game though.
The heroes aren't even in the same artstyle.
I really liked the 2002 show as a kid but I'm a bit scared to see if it holds up.
2002 was awesome.
2002 ? 2003? 200x? I don't give a frick. I was busy working and taking college classes.
take it back to its roots
Revolution was good tho and pretty much fixed all the issues from Revelation.
Kek not falling for this
You're just a Low IQ Zoomer blindly follwing rage-click streamers , it is good.
Can you skip Revelation or do you need it for the setup?
You can skip Revelation, and move straight to Revolution, but go back to it after finishing Revolutiom
>but go back to it after finishing Revolutiom
Why? The whole point is to skip that shit fest. If you have to watch both I'd rather get the gay shit out of the way first so I can enjoy the good part.
Then watch Revelation first, I liked it because it had drama.
Kys Kevin
is this apology show for the woman power shit we got few years back or its double down?
Dark fantasy, fully cgi animated to look like the old box art in motion.
>brown taint smith
no ty
>How can we fix Masters of the Universe???
Tell Kevin Smith to go back to the ViewAskew Universe and make stoner/wagie flicks again...save his frickin' soul.
As for Masters of the Universe.... I was 6 when He-Man was a thing, and even I knew the show was nothing but a toy commercial. Not sure why people had to think there was this deep-lore people believed was attached to it.
>Adam magically roid-rages, beats the shit out of the monster of the week, ...don't do drugs, see you next week.
And today:
>"He-Man and the Masters of the Universe!!!!", Starring Teela, Guest-Starring He-man in his own show.... do drugs, watch your pronouns, subscribe to Netflix"
...can't say I should be raging that MotU is woke-shit since the original show wasn't anything spectacular outside a child's fantasy.
>toy commercial.
It's cartoon, schizo parrot
Masterverse animation literally shits on Bezoz Invincible animation. Any reasons why?
I don´t want to be too ambitious so i have only one humble suggestion. Don´t give females the jawline and musculature of males. That´s it.
The CGI MotU that came out at the same time was 100 times better than Smith's garbage
More hate marketing? No one wants your awful show, go away.
ignore thread and shills attempting to waste our time on this abortion of remake..all involved in its making need to get fricked.
>How can we fix Masters of the Universe?
Make all the female characters bimbos and give them skimpy outfits.
Have him travel the Universe. Go to war on different planets. Etc.
hey Cinemaphile
Why is skeletor so thick/solid/tight no homo?
It's a good show, and I say this as a 40 year old who fricking loved He Man as a kid.
My biggest complaint is that Mark Hamill is not an amazing skeletor, he sounds wrong and isn't funny.
>Watch dogshit hatefiction, part 2. It's good now #451438534
No it isn't.
>40 year old man
>shilling feminist troony dyke shit
God you're fricking pathetic
Hate is a waste of time anon, no troony has ever bothered me. They are at worst slightly offputting in manner and appearance, but that is no crime.
People like you annoy me on a daily basis however.
The 80s were just a different time, man.
They did fix it with Revolution
even Midnight's Edge said so
Imagine being so sad you actually defend them bamboozling the entire audience by focusing on a strong woman instead of actual fking He-man
>but he's in 10% of the episodes!!
What a sad frick you are
unironically soul with Revolution
Go to bed, shill
Not going to fall for slop
