This show understands Superman far better than any other media has in years. Even Superman the Animated Series failed to understand that Clark is dweeb first and superhero second.
The thing I like most that S:TaS was never good about is that MAWS Superman never seems to get mad about things. He just gets disappointed, and I feel like that's the right characterization. At least until he meets a Darkseid or similar villain.
The problem with Superman the Animated Series is they were coming off of BTAS, and Batman is undeniably the real Bruce and the playboy Bruce is a mask, but that's not true of Superman. It's the other way round, and they didn't understand that.
Oh yeah, and the animation is outsourced to fricking Norks while Velma isn't.
